Before I got my puppy I had been asking around for the best vets available. Most people had similar responses. They werent very close with their particular vet. In fact, they tended to try different vets throughout the years trying to find one they liked. All friends was recommended to me by one friend with astounding reviews. And I have NOT been disappointed. They are the BEST! So compassionate, not only to your animal, but to you being a crazy animal parent as well. Dr Reda explains everything in great detail so you really understand exactly whats happening. And he took the time to answer my laundry list of questions the very first time I met him. Weve had a few emergencies with our puppy and the staff has been so helpful. They respond to Facebook messages quickly and keep you up to date to calm your nerves. Its run by a family and you really do feel like you are part of their family when you go. *******ALSO, I just read a below review regarding a patient who didnt feel like she received all the attention she was hoping for, due to an emergency. That particular emergency was my puppy. And without going into details let me tell you that the emergency was literally a life or death situation. Those few minutes were crucial to whether she would survive. And without Dr. Reda and his staffs fast reaction, my puppy would definitely not be with us today. I am SO thankful for this animal hospital. And I apologize to whoever felt neglected due to this incident. But I do ask that you take a step back and look at the picture as a whole. Put yourself in my shoes. If your animal was the one in need, wouldnt you want your animals doctor to do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING in their power to help them? I pray that you will never have to find that out.

This Spring my cat Tabitha had her jawACCIDENTALLY broken while having her tooth pulled. Dr Hirsch was extremely upset and compassionate to Tabbs and me. He took her to Dr Carmichael at the WI center and except for what I owed the actual vet practice for the initital extraction (I paid several hundred dollars) and 2 days boarding so she could get her meds, EIVG covered the cost for the surgery and 3 additional extractions at WI. The only vet I ever spoke to at EIVG was Dr Hirsch. I never yelled or threatened to sue. Quite frankly, I never thought to sue as it was an ACCIDENT. Tabbs made a full recovery but due to all the stress lost a good portion of her fur. The first time I tried to make an appointment for her I was given such a hard time by the receptionist (female)about wanting her to be seen I hung up and called back a few days later. This time I was able to make the appointment (male) and had her checked out. I had asked for Dr Hirsch but was booked with a different vet. After Tabbs appointment I went to the website and discovered Dr Hirsch was no longer listed with the group. This shocked me as I felt his leaving was due to the mishap with Tabitha. I sent an email to the practice stating my confidence with Dr Hirsch and how I still wanted him as the vet for my 9 cats. Because I never received the courtesy of a reply to the email, or for that matter a call from the head of the practice when the accident initally occurred, I will no longer use EIVG as my 9 cats vets. Compassion and doing the right thing scores very high on my moral compass and except for Dr Hirsch, the powers that be at EIVG failed miserably. Now I have no vet and have no idea where Dr Hirsch is now. Shame on EIVG for putting $$ ahead of a kind, compassionate vet.

I dont know how it has been here in the past. But as long as Dr. Reda is here, this is the only vet I will ever use. I have four cats and have brought them all here for all of their health needs. I can always trust Dr. Reda to be honest and he welcomes me to call and tell him what is going on with the cat before bringing them in. Most importantly, he loves the animals, and there have been many occasions for one of my cats that he has gone above-and-beyond. I bottle-fed my youngest kitten after finding him at 2 weeks old. He very nearly didnt make it, but Dr. Reda aggressively treated his infections and did not charge me for many of his services. He would stay late, give his home number, come in early. He will make anything happen to save the life of an animal. Just yesterday the same cat, now 2 years old, was electrocuted biting through a wire. I am devastated and unfortunately was forced to bring him to a hospital and spend a lot of money... but Dr. Reda spoke to me over the phone for 15 minutes today and told me what I should do from home/what to look for. He also could tell I was worried sick, and being both compassionate towards animals and people, he offered to keep my cat for free at the clinic while I work (I live alone and work full-time) until he is more recovered. I cant even believe this place has bad reviews, so as I put together my emergency plan for my beloved cat I just had to leave a review. Dr. Reda is the most incredible vet I have yet to encounter, and he has a lot of good and compassionate people there at the clinic.

DO NOT USE EAST ISLIP VETERINARY GROUP. FIND ANOTHER CARING DECENT GROUP TO BRING YOUR PET. I had a healthy, beautiful Maine Coon 5 1/2 month old femail. Brought her to this group. Nasty receptionist named Jackie, non receptive and certainly not compassionate. Brought her in at 8 30 (as requested) called at 3:00 to be told in a "nasty annoyed" reaction.."I told you Id cal you, why are you calling?" Perhaps to see how my beautiful kitten is doing. I was told she was going into surgerywithin the next half hour. Why then was I told to bring cat in at 8;30. So the poor kitten can be frightened in a cage for all those hours? when I picked her up the very next morning, she was (understandably so) lethargic and a bit week. The week was not much better, but the Vet (on the phone, no decency to be face to face) told me this was to be expected, bring her back in two weeks to have stitches removed....Yesterday at 5pm, i found my beautiful Maine Coon Kitten DEAD on the floor. Hysteria, calling the vet...my luck I get NASTY, UNCARING JACKIE, WHO ASKS ME WHY I AM SO UPSET, AND TO PLEASE NOT RAISE MY VOICE...I COULD GO ON AND ON. TO THIS MOMENT NO ONE FROM THE EAST ISLIP VETERINARY GROUP HAS CALLED... IF YOU WANT A DEAD ANIMAL THE YOU LOVE, BRING THEM TO THIS GROUP. SHAME ON THEM!!!!!!!

I cant say enough about how great Dr. Reda and Dr. Hadland are. My English Springer Spaniel had undescended testes (bilateral cryptorchidism) and I was shopping around for a new vet to do the "neuter" which is much more involved as its an internal surgery. Not only did they give me the best price, they were also the most caring and informative people I had met. We scheduled Morgans surgery for a few days after the initial appointment and everything went very smoothly. He was really out of it when we picked him up but they assured us that it was just the anesthesia wearing off. I had a couple of questions the next morning that they didnt want to answer over the phone so they asked me to come in free of charge and they took a quick look at Morgan to make sure he was okay. Both doctors took much more time than they needed to make sure I was well informed and Morgan is doing great. The pain medicine that they gave him works like a charm and Im looking forward to getting back to normal with the little guy. Ive had appointments at at least 6 vets in the Babylon-East Islip area as I was shopping around and I can easily say that this place was the best.
