While the cleanliness is 5 star, the people super sweet, I am disappointed with the doctors at this practice. When I come in for urgent care, I expect to be seen by someone who has numerous years of hospital level experience. It has become apparent over the past 3 years that the staff here does not have this type of experience. For example: my daughter (5 years old) went in with a UTI- they give her antibiotics but dont send out cultures. When she is still complaining of UTI symptoms 5 days later, I call and ask about the culture and if the antibiotics can be changed. They cant help me with it (because they never sent out a culture!) and want to see her again (more $$$) and so I take her to her pediatrician. Now I have paid for 2 doctor visits. Another example: I had been in recently with a fever, flu like symptoms and swollen ear. The doctor did not even examine me beyond visual inspection. No palpation of lymph nodes, ear area, nothing. He proclaimed that I might need to go to the hospital- but he wouldnt know because he had never seen mastoiditis. He was googling mastoiditis while sitting in the room with me. After a 4 hour visit to the ER and probably another $800 medical bill, I was sent home because the ER PA told me he had seen mastoiditis numerous times and knew I would be in much much more pain than I currently was. I was told to see an ENT the next day, which I did and it was confirmed and I dont have mastoiditis. Unfortunately, these instances are just 2 of many over the past 3 years. I have ignored them for some time, chalking up little oversights and mistakes to being in a hurry, it is urgent care after all. But after the last 2 mistakes, they are rookie mistakes... and a doctor who lacks the experience should not be in a setting where he alarms his patients to go to the ER when its not likely that they need to.

I have had a great deal of issues with First Care in the last several months. My brother was receiving treatment there for an addiction issue, and was basically medicated with very little followup. When he called to make an appointment to see his doctor he was told that because he had missed an appointment he could not make another appointment until the contracted fee was paid. While he never argued the fee, he explained that he would be paying in cash and would like to pay when he came in for his appointment. The RECEPTIONIST (who evidently has some God Complex) refused to schedule an appointment or leave a message for his doctor until this fee was paid. While he continued to go through withdrawal from these meds that they kept him on for about 3 months too long, he could not get through to anyone. When my mother (a healthcare professional in Philadelphia) called there to question what was happening, she received a return call by some gnome like man who told her that "a good mother would not allow her child to go through withdrawal". She has left messages for the owner and has not received one call back. While Dr. Vigna was confirmed in the office she refused to take a call even though his HIPPA information clearly has her listed. While my may not believe in the impact of a bad google review, I do. I would never want anyone elses family member to go through the nonsense that FirstCare deems acceptable medical practice. My lawyer considers it abandonment. I wonder if theirs would.

I have been to FirstCare Walk-In Medical Center to be see as well as I am a patient of FirstCare Family Practice. I am very happy with the quality of care I received at both facilities. I like the fact that all of my records are on one computer system so that when I go to the Walk-In part, they have all my information available to them. The facility is immaculate; the staff is very friendly and professional, and the doctors treat you like they really care. I would highly recommend FirstCare Walk-In Medical Center. I would also like to mention the wonderful care provided to me by David Hattenbrun, FNP. I suspected I had Lyme Disease and before the blood work showed up positive, and based on how I was feeling (since I do not have any pre-existing chronic conditions), David said that I should start taking doxycyclene because it sounded like the way I was feeling could be Lyme-related. I was also tested for thyroid problems and adrenal problems based on how I was feeling, but they all came back negative. Finally the results came back that I did have Lyme. I am very fortunate that I started taking the medication early, and I feel great now. I also like that both Dr. Vigna, David, and the medical staff on the urgent care side have respect for other modes of healthcare such as chiropractic, acupuncture, etc. They also have a vast knowledge of natural remedies and will recommend both these and/or traditional medicine based on the patients preference.

I only wish that I could add more stars for this haven which provides quality, emergency care. The FirstCare, facility is lovely and is kept in pristine condition. It is beautifully decorated. You immediately feel soothed and reassured when you walk into this center. The videos that are played are very restful. The entire staff is amazing. You are made to feel special from the moment that you open the door. You are seen extremely quickly. I have been there, many times, and have always been given correct medical advise and treatment. I have been diagnosed and treated with many ailments that have come up when I could not get into my Primary Care doctors office. It cannot be compared, in my opinion, to any other walk in medical facility. You will not have to wait for hours, as you would in a hospital emergency room. Dr. Weinman, has an amazing ability to sort out the underlying problem. All the staff are highly qualified, and will take the time to listen to you. If you need an RX, it will be faxed over to your phamacy. There is a blood lab and an X-ray machine and tech to help diagnose. We are so fortunate to have a place like FirstCare, in our area!

This place was beautiful inside, clean, and the reception staff was very friendly. However, I do not recommend going here if you dont have health insurance. They made me pay 140 dollars up front before the doctor would even see me. When I saw the doctor, he was rude and argumentative with me about my symptoms. I will not go here again. I went there to get medical help, and was offered a list of herbal remedies to cure my ailment. Im in full support of using herbal remedies as an alternative, but why would I go to the doctor if I hadnt already tried them? I had already done everything the doctor was recommending... I wouldnt seek medical help if I didnt think my sickness was beyond the help of an over the counter herbal supplement. The information the doc gave me could have just as easily been acquired by going to Health and Nutrition and asking the sales clerk for help. Over all disappointing and expensive.
