The doctors here are great, but the system is completely broken. I used to go here frequently because I work overtime and travel a lot, and this place was known for proving general practice (ie, not ER) care 24/7 for walk-ins. So, even with my crazy schedule I knew I could always get checked out. Well, I literally just came home from trying to vist tonight, and was shocked to see the front door locked, the reception area dark, but with the lights on in the office area with a receptionist chatting on the phone, around 10pm. I wasnt sure what going on, so I knocked, the receptionist looked at me, and ignored me - TWICE. Didnt even gesture. I called the office from outside asking what the situation was. She yelled over the phone that the signs had changed and they were no longer 24/7 - but of course, the signs in fact DO still very clearly claim they are open 24/7 (check the awning, its there). Frankly disturbing that someone in the medical field has no attention to detail; know how to read; or apparently have any sympathy for a sick person seeking medical help late at night. When I corrected her that the sign still said 24/7, and then asked what time they opened in the morning, she hung up. Whoever she is, she should leave medicine.

Unfortunately I was recently drugged, assaulted and robbed. I went to the Beth Israel Clinic on 23rd street and spoke to the light skinned, African American receptionist around 11:30am on Saturday morning 8.29.30. I told her I wanted to get a toxicology test done because I was drugged, assaulted and robbed. She asked for my insurance. She said Beth Israel didnt cover UnitedHealth Community Plan. She then gave me a piece of paper of other area hospitals and recommend I go someplace else instead. I think thats against the law, isnt it? Regardless, I went to Callen Lourde which did not take my Heath insurance but they took me. Their rape counselor was tremendously understanding when I still couldnt make heads or tails what I had just survived. Someone needs to fire that receptionist - or maybe shes just doing as told. I was blacked out during my assault, but I was wide awake when I saw just how disgusting Beth Israel treated me. Disgusted.

The building is very clean. The wait to be seen in urgent care is always reasonable. The reception staff can be a tad bit stressed and unfriendly. Perhaps this is why they have gotten poor reviews on this website. The administration would be wise to be more vigilant about providing sufficient staff so that no one is overwrought and so that patients are well-attended. On the other hand, the nurses and doctors are very friendly and professional. The doctors are for the most part patient, with a good bed-side manner and they all have really listened to my concerns. The only complaint Ive had is one doctor who didnt return my results nor my phone calls for months. He is an exception. The results were bad too. So, theres no excuse for that. The other doctors are much better. We cant let a bad apple spoil the bunch.

They have a beautiful office and some really excellent staff. However, I am disappointed in their administrative director. I have sent three letters, called a dozen times, even walked into the office to try and speak with her but have not been able to resolve a simple claim issue. 7 months later my bill is in collections and I am still unable to come to any resolution. Between my health insurance, the lab and the BIMG I am not sure which is the most dysfunctional, and most likely this is the result of a broken system rather than an individual. All I would like from them is the courtesy of a response.

The billing department in this place sucks. They billed me for an office copay I was told I shouldnt pay as I only visited the center to get a vaccine. Its taking me over 12 phone calls and 10 months to get this fixed and the dispute remains unresolved. Its pointless to leave a voice message as they never listen to them and be prepared to spend at least 15 min waiting on the phone to be assisted. As for the building, it is quieter clean, they have been punctual and doctors are nice but not helpful when it comes to helping with billing queries. However Im never coming back.

The day that I needed to go to urgent care I spent 4 hours in the waiting area being put off by a receptionist who said i would be seen within the hour. after waiting that long i then sat in the exam room for another 45 minutes before a doctor came in to see me. needless to say service at this medical group is very negligent. i am now trying to call the group back to cancel my appointment and there is no one to pick up the line. so if youre thinking about going to DOCS on West 23rd Street, you should probably think about finding some place else

The receptionist was pretty dismissive at first, but warmed up at the end. The nurse was super kind and helpful. The doctor, Dr. Chuey, was rude and seemed like he was in a rush and just wanted to get out. I had to almost force him to listen to what was wrong with me. He told me I probably just had a bad case of acid reflux. It was strep throat. Even though this location is super convenient, I will not be coming back here

Supposedly open from 8am I rang at 8.30, got through to a msg service and got disconnected. Rang again, no one was answering and was able to leave a msg with an operator who said theyd xall back. It was urgent. An hour later I went to city MD on 14th who were great. Still havent heard back from Mt Sinai.

Ive seen Dr. Mizuguchi at another office and first visited this office on a snowy day. Despite the gross weather, the building was beyond clean and dry. The third floor, where Dr. Mizuguchi and other doctors practice is brand new, with comfortable seating, warm temperatures and friendly staff.

The rude and dismissive attitude from staff made my pulsing headache even more unbearable while I waited 45 mins in lobby and then sat in the patient room for 50 minutes before opening door to see if humans were actually working there. This place is the worst.

Clean and modern looking building, professional staff. Wait time is perhaps on the longer side (a wait for each person I am supposed to see).
