Having read a couple of the negative reviews, I dont know who they saw, but this is a really good veterinary practice and the prices are consistent with what Ive paid in Colorado, Texas, and Wyoming. Additionally, Ive not found them overly excited to test; in fact, both vets that weve dealt with have offered ideas to minimize costs while still giving our dogs great care. Frankly, I think that some of these people expect vets to work for nothing...try getting health care for people as inexpensively! Dr. Standes (hes Norwegian, not Australian...not that it matters, but for sake of correctness) is really good with the dogs, listens, and let me hold them for the exams. One of our dogs has teeth problems and required extractions and he came out of it with no problems, the price quote was accurate, and the dog was well cared for. Additionally, our female dog had some behavioral issues we couldnt figure out and when we talked to the vet about them, he identified a very simple medical reason that required some antibiotics, but that was about it--no hassles and no elaborate testing. Anyone whos new to the area or just looking for a new vet... the practice is very good and the vets very straight-forward.

We have used this animal hospital for about 6yrs and honestly wouldnt trust another one with our dogs. The veterinarians are AMAZING, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. But, first you must get past the office staff who are absolutely terrible! The past 5 appointments they have messed up times dates and with whom the appointment was supposed to be with. I wish the veterinarians would reassess their front staff, these past 2yrs have not been good at all. And who works for you are a reflection of who you are and the type of business you run. The front office staff has managed to mess up every grooming apt (easiest one to book) even called the groomer at home after we asked that they do NOT do that. I am fairly disgusted at this point.

This is for boarding services only. We brought our dog here so we could go to a wedding in the area. The facility is very large and seems well tended and clean. Everyone was very friendly. They do have a lot of requirements for boarding. In addition to the normal rabies, distemper, and bordatella vaccine requirements they also require influenza, lepto, and a fecal sample. Thankfully this wasnt an issue for us but I could see it deterring people. The prices were very cheap to me, but I am used to Manhattan rates, which are nearly four times as much. In all I was pleased with the experience. Our dog was returned to us safe and happy. Will definitely use their services again if I am in the area.

Great customer service and good prices. I brought my cat here for a first time comprehensive examination (he also had a slight eye infection). The vet was knowledgeable, calm, and took the time and care to get to know me and my cat. When the medication my cat was taking wasnt working, the office switched me to a new prescription without me having to bring the cat in for another visit. This was especially helpful because I didnt want to add any additional stress to my already sick cat. They also call to check up on your pet which is really helpful. I will definitely be going back for all of my pets care.

Our year old pitbull was rushed to the Arlington Animal Hospital after suffering severe complications from a spaying procedure at ANOTHER facility. She had emergency surgery and after a four day stay , recovered beautifully. Our family cannot say enough about the excellent care Bella received. The hospital is immaculate, the staff friendly and welcoming, and above all the medical care is outstanding. Bellas life was saved because of it.

Dr. Standnes and his support staff take wonderful care of our dogs. He is understanding, listens well, and recommends reasonable courses of action for issues that have arisen. I trust that he and his staff will take care of us. Times when Dr. Standnes was not available, the other vets have been just as good. I highly recommend.

Living On Music

The practice manager is extremely rude and stuck up, and has no regard for the animals; only your money. A blonde teenager who is a kennel technician is one of the worst people I have met and has no kindness for the animals. Be careful when boarding your animals here. They do not get walked much and barely get outside time.

Dr. Standnes was excellent. Very knowledgeable and caring. My cat is 17 years old and we just moved to the area and needed help with his new diabetes problem. Other places were not as helpful but Dr. S has been calling to check up ever since our first appointment. Now thats a man that cares!

This place is definitely pricey but they give quality care for your money. And they have emergency services which not all vets do. They can usually see you same day when we have problems and their waits are normally not too bad.

The veterinarians are knowledgeable, caring and friendly. We have taken our pet here for years and all of the doctors are very good. Our dogs and cats especially love Dr. Standness who they see most often. Highly recommended.
