hm. well, this is the second time using HCR. First experience was a year ago, and was excellent all the way around. Loved everyone, scheduling en point and easy to work with. This experience (so far) is going somewhat good as far as everyone calls before arrival and on time, VERY good nurse, OT & PT - not so much the aide.. may be a good fit for others, not for me. Brags about how fast she is, but doesnt do a good lob because of rushing. To her defense, they scheduled her 4 hours before me, then 2 hrs with me, no break in between - so, being a very empathetic person, I allowed her to sit and rest while she ate a small snack. Had to stand to help with sorting laundry, when I wast supposed to be weight-bearing on my fractured foot, then was left with 2 loads of un-dried laundry hanging all over in my apartment (because we are not allowed to leave our laundry in the machines), while stuck in a wheelchair. Had to find someone to finish it for me. Scheduling personnel seem giggly and young, feels like youre talking to a teenager. Left a message requesting the aide I had before, never heard back. not feeling as confident this time around. But, it just started. gonna call tomorrow.

The nursing staff, home health aid and the O.T. are excellent. The scheduling leaves a lot to be desired. If the nurse is ill the aid isnt scheduled which leaves the patient and the family in a precarious situation. This has happened twice. The first time it happened I had to call to resolve the problem when no aid showed up. This time (a Saturday) the aid noticed that her next visit on Monday was not posted to her schedule. If she hadnt noticed it we would have been waiting on the Monday. I called the answering service, received a call back from someone who was less than helpful. As of this time I have not been called back (over 1 1/2 hours later). The patient NEEDS the aid. If this is not resolved I will be forced to take time to call again on Monday as soon as they open to see if our aid can be added.

I was not sure what to expect with HOME CARE. I am sure it was not normal or routine. The same thing happened to me as the other to reviews. It is common for the aide to not show up or call and say they couldnt make it on the day that she was scheduled. When she did show up she did not do her job on her own. I asked every time if she was ok to do this on her own and was told NO. I was told to hire a home care so that I would have a break and would be able to leave my home to run quick errands. So very wrong, I was here to help her to do what I normally do by myself. I cancelled the service because I felt the insurance company was paying for something that I was still doing. Although I really need a break and a little time away this company is not the right one for me.

Have had some really good nurses and some really bad nurses. The bad way out does the good. One nurse refused to take my husband seriously regarding pain in his arm around his picc line. Well it ended up that it was infected and he almost died when it turned into MRSA!! We have also had many issues with their scheduling. They claim to have people available 24/7 for any emergencies that arise. Well, took us 3 days to get someone here for an urgent issue. Then they had the nerve to yell at me because I took care of the problem myself!! Then when his scheduled nurse failed to show (she called in sick and no one called to notify us) they had no one to take her place. Had to go to Strong to have his picc line taken care of!! Unacceptable!!

Today was Glenns last day with HCR and will transition over to Unity Out Patient Facility. The HCR team was excellent especially his physical therapist Caleb and his speech therapist Lisa. Thanks everyone for the support and care you gave my son at this time. It made a difference in his mental as well as his physical state.

HCR recently cared for my mother-in-law after a total knee replacement, and my grandmother-in-law, after she broke her hip. The nurses and therapists were so caring, professional, and helpful. They really encouraged both my MIL and GIL, which allowed them both to get back on their feet quickly. Thanks, HCR Home Care!!

HCR took great care of my mother after her knee replacement. All of the staff who worked with her were caring and professional. They also took great care of my grandmother after she broke her hip. I would highly recommend using HCR for home care.
