I dont know that Ive ever been taken better care of anywhere in my whole life. As a busy, working mom of two and caregiver to an elderly grandparent I did not have time to be sick! I came into the office and was seen quickly and the staff was so helpful and kind. In my sleepless sick state/rush to get babies to a sitter so I could go to the doctor Id forgotten to eat that morning and my blood sugar dropped as I was in the office, the nurse helped me get comfortable and lay down while waiting to be seen and even brought me some crackers! The nurse practitioner, Yvette greaves was sympathetic to me being a breastfeeding mother but also to how sick I was and helped me to really weigh the pros and cons of treatment available. I felt like everyone just really went out of their way to help me feel better and be comfortable which means the world to me. Being a mom is often a thankless job title but these ladies understood and got me the treatment I needed to get me back up and running again. I am 24hrs out and feeling so much! My kids and family are thankful mom is back on her feet!

I was in so much pain when I in walked in AFC Saturday morning. I was greeted with tones of laughter among 2 employees. I knew I was in a genuinely caring environment. Drawing from my experience from years working in the medical genre I knew that a staff who enjoys working together offers the best chance of patients being treated well and with compassion. I was not dissapointed. Friendly, caring, personable and smart! Brandon, CRNP knew immediately what my problem was. He offered me on the spot relief (by injection via the RN) and a couple of Rx so that my healing would continue. He listened and addressed my concerns patiently, explained malady, the prescriptions and gave me hand outs. Its hard to retain information when pain is present. I appreciated this. He returned at end of my visit summarized his findings and plan of action. My state of mind was greatly relieved as was my body. I walked out of the door nearly pain free!! I have found my new medical care team. Thank you Each and All! Peg Schoettlin.

Just left this place , walk thru door and got charge at 4:05 pm, they check my vitals and put in a room at 4:20...pretty fast right ....sat in room until 545 when i ask if they had forgotten ME! The answer from Dr Gallagaher was "i am the only DR.", when i ask how much longer " she dont know , it will be awhile " .....that is the kind of care you want go ahead , i will NEVER be back , when i was leaving they were telling people coming in it would be 2 HOURS ! wish someone had told me that when i came in....this place was okay when it 1st open , i dont know what has change , but the last two times i been there i has been the same story....there is nothing Urgent about their care .....

Went in for a bad cough..... charge was $241.00. I was like WOW... $241 for a cough? The only person that helped me was the nurse... she was nice and knowledgeable. The Doctor came in and said "Im Dr _____ (cant remember name), lets just go with these prescriptions and see how that works... ok? " I said OK and he said OK back and turned around and walked out of the room. he was in the room for no more than 20 seconds. And then I get a bill in the mail for $241. Marked low for very poor doctor care (he could care less that I was there) and excessive high fees for a cough. I will have to say the Nurse was very good though.

Wonderful experience today with Landon Dutton, CRNP. He was very sweet and took the time to completely understand what my symptoms were and was very thorough. He explained everything to me and seemed concerned just as I was. We waited for about 45 minutes to be seen but I was perfectly okay with that considering the kindness we were shown. The staff was GREAT. I definetly recommend AFC and Mr. Dutton. I hope he stays at AFC! I wouldnt hesitate to return. Great job! Left with everything I needed to make me better. I was Diagnosed with walking pneumonia and I feel much better already! 5 star service for sure!

I visited the clinic Friday afternoon. I was told my ears had a lot of fluid, I was congested and told I had a sinus infection. The nurse practioner order an antibotic shot and called in prescriptions for me. The next day I realized that I was only given an antibiotic and nothing for the fluid. I called the office and they told me I would have to return and pay again to get a decongestant. I am severely congested and would assume that they can read the file but I have to go again and pay more to correct this...maybe I am being unreasonable since I want to feel better.

Go anywhere but here! I fell and hurt my ribs, cost $175 for an xray and told they would hurt for awhile- nothing for pain! I asked while I was there if he would write a prescription for me to quit smoking, he said no I would have to see another doctor. My husband went last month paid $175 for his blood pressure to be checked and get a prescription for Chantix.... This was my second time there (1st was for shingles and was worse but tried again), wont be a third! Update- Their manager called today, was very kind and offered me to come back in at no charge.

I decided to go to American Family Care because I am not happy with regular doctor. The nurse practitioner never remembers anything about me. Always have to remind her what I am being treated for. I had a sinus infection for sometime and put off calling my doctor to get an appointment. AFC is sooo much better the staff is friendly and professional. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes and I feel so much better today. I highly recommend AFC in Decatur.

I took my four year old in for his four year old shots. Went to health department and was told they gave wrong shots. One was for an eleven year old?!?!?! Called the nurse who gave the shot and she acted as if it was a mistake, I hope to god it was and we dont end the evening in ER. She changed computer records & idk who to believe. Bottom line dont go there to get childrens shots. They are awful. One shot took four sticks.

Yesterday was the 1st time my family had ever used an urgent care clinic. Everyone there was very nice and helpful the lady at the front desk was very helpful, the nurse was so sweet and gentle with my son, and Dr. Reed was wonderful. I was always weery of urgent care I figured they would be over worked and cranky but it was the complete opposite. I would definitely go back and recommend anyone to go there.

The doctors and staff were very friendly and helpful when I visited for a dislocated patella. I was in alot of pain and they made sure I was comfortable. Also, I called back the next morning for them to send a referral to the Orthopedic Dr. and they didnt hesitate to help and sent it immediately. I will definitely go back if needed and recommend their services to everyone!
