Montgomery doesnt have a shortage of DVM/Veterinarians. After residing in Montgomery for some 17 years and using many vets, we can say that Dr. Eric Lewis is the best in town. None of the vets we visited were qualified to handle our multi-specie household, that included exotics. After great success with an ill guinea pig, we began taking our dogs and cats to him. We found that Dr. Lewis has a unique affinity for his chosen profession. We have witnessed his calm and gentle nature soothing our shy, anxious and distressed pets. We respect his ability to do more than treat the pets medical symptoms as he often identifies root causes. His sensible integrative approach treats all facets of a pets well being. If you want a vet who consistently listens to you and then provides you with various options, he is your kind of vet. He consistently broadened our understanding of the requirements needed to keep our pets healthy--without being overbearing. Dr. Lewis is an excellent surgeon, including dentistry. He is up to speed with the changing face of pet nutrition. He smart like "Dr. House" of the TV show, but without the arrogance. Yes....he is as gentle with people as he is with animals. What more could you ask. His highly informative style and his kind staff always leave us feeling we make the best decisions for our animals.

I have a personal history and relationship to this clinic and the staff, and can speak with first hand knowledge that through and through, the staffs number one priority is the health and happiness of your pet. Dr. Lewis takes the time needed to help owners really understand their pets health and needs, whether its a healthy puppy or kitten or an exotic pet with dietary and environmental challenges. Many of their clients have been with the clinic for many years, bringing generations of pets there for care, and that speaks volumes for the quality of this clinic.

I have used Bell Road Animal Medical Center and Dr Lewis for a few years to take care of my reptiles. No matter what the problem is, he is always very helpful. He explains things to me. He doesnt rush animals in and out. Dr Lewis spends time examining each animal. He even prints off the latest information, at least for reptiles. I recommend Bell Road Animal Medical Center to all my friends that have reptiles, or live in Montgomery. I drive from Millbrook to get the best care for my pet reptiles

Customer service makes or breaks any business. I could not ask for better treatment than what Dr. Lewis and his staff provide. All of them are great easy going people. We have a special needs animal so its already a stressful event taking them in, but their great service helps so much. Also, might I add they are great at their job! No matter how busy they seem, Dr. Lewis is very thorough and makes sure he spends as much time with you as you need and that all your questions are answered.

Everyone there was very nice, however I was told on the phone that the costs would be thoroughly discussed during the visit. There was no discussion of cost during the visit at all. The only cost I was made aware of before the visit was the office visit fee and at the time of check out, I was surprised by a $230 bill for a physical exam and fecal test. I was sent home with a bunch of expensive products that I could not get my parrot to eat and he died a few days later.

We were visiting the area from out of town and needed day care for our dog. It was over spring break but they were able to fit him in one day, despite being busy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and most importantly our big dog was happy and tuckered out when we picked him up. They even had another spot open up two days later so we took him back again. Well definitely be using this dog day care in the future when in the area.

I called in the morning to see if I could get an appointment & Dr. Louis fit my dog into his busy schedule with an emergency that very afternoon. He figured out what was wrong with my precious baby as quickly as possible and was so courteous and knowledgeable. He is very professional. The staff welcomed me openly & were so very nice to me. I look forward to making them my permanent veterinarian office.

The Doctor and staff at Bell Road Animal Medical Center are like extensions of our family. Our two big dogs and one cat that rules the roost are always treated with great care and love. We appreciate the front desk staff, the Doggy Daycare staff, Dr. Lewis, and the after hours staff that always makes our needs a priority and treat us and our "babies" with friendly and professional attitudes!

So helpful in wrangling and treating an ornery old tom cat, who actually ended up being a big fan of head scritches (Thanks Ms. D!) :). Also thank you for getting us in so quickly when one of our inside cats developed a urinary tract issue; we were a little bit panicked. Excellent and loving care by all!
