My daughter and I have 2 very nervous Weimeriners who are 11 years old now. We live close to down town Phoenix. Doctor Weikhorst has been following with them since they were puppies since Dr. Wiekhorst was able to diagnose one of them with a rare disease after multiple vets in central Phoenix could not. Because of the distance and some emergencies we visited some other clinics closer to home during the last 11 years. There are no words to express the care Dr. Weikhorst and his stuff give in their country clinic in New River. Dr Wiekhorst takes his time with his patients and their owners; he is an exhalent diagnostic veterinarian who does not rush to recommend expensive tests or invasive procedures before he follows with a thoroughly manual exam. You can get the medication from their place in a very reasonable price but also can get a written prescription. He weighs the benefits and side affects of the different medication and truly tries to decrease the expenses. In my 30 years in Phoenix owning a pet or two at a time I have never met such a dedicated and trustful veterinarian. Marva Tahan.

Wayne and his staff have been our Veterinarian since 1987, You will not find a more caring staff, experienced vet who is honest and treats your animals like they are their own. If I had a year to write good things about Foothills Veterinary Services, it would not be enough time. From puppies to end of life this facility is the best of Arizona. Not only has Wayne and staff taken care of all our pets but now services my adult childrens pets. 2014 was a difficult year for many New River residents, including the staff at Foothills Vet. At that time, our dog at 17 years young, was ready to pass on. Dr. Weikhorst came to our home to put her down, and helped our children prepare for the process, and the price was very reasonable. Later, we discovered he personally was having a rough day too; which he put aside to aid and comfort our family. The Perrin Family will use forever this vets office for the life of all our pets. We are very grateful to have this local business to support that truly cares about its community.

I have taken each one of my dogs to foothills vet for 16 years now and finally want to write a review. We took our last "puppy" Jersey to have her nails done thinking she would be very uncomfortable as she was abused, but she had no problem with the process. The people there are great and the service is just as fine. From old dogs to new they all seem to love everybody. Dr. Wayne and his staff have handled every problem from reminders of vaccinations to helping family members to say goodbye to a loved one. Thank you foothills vet for being there ! Our vet had moved out of the area and we just didnt know who to take our Lab, Inky, for his shots and check-ups. A friend recommended Dr. Sarah and Dr. Wendy and we couldnt be more pleased. They welcomed us and gave our dog and us their full attention! He was due for his vaccinations and we were so glad to have doctors who practice "less is more" when it comes to vaccines as so many pets today are overdosed. My husband and I felt our dog was in good hands and we were treated with exquisite hospitality and care. I highly recommend this pet clinic!

Dr. Wiekhorst is the most amazing vet I have ever encountered. HE CARES about your pet, about you the owner of your precious pet. I had a dog misdiagnosed by two Vets and Dr. Wiekhorst diagnosed him properly in 5 minutes. In this day of recession, inflation, etc., he has kept his pricing reasonable. He always, I mean always, goes the extra distance! His staff is kind and compassionate. The understand how helpless an owner can feel when facing an illness or injury of one of his/her pet(s).

I highly recommend this vet hospital. The care they provide is first rate!! My elderly schnauzer needed bladder surgery. He spent several days under their care. Today he is happy and healthy. It is rare to find people who will treat your pet as part of their family.
