Unbelievable! My stay began with me, just out of surgery, laying in a bed in a hallway listening to 2 nurses bitching that 2 people were sent up at the same time. There are 2 of you and 2 of us...work it out. After 5 minutes of listening to how rough they had it, I finally reminded them that I was just out of surgery and in massive amounts of pain and just need to get into a room. One did apologize and told me not to take it personally. Nice! Fast forward to the change of shift...another 3 Gems! They couldnt understand basic instructions about pain meds written by the previous wondernut. Took forever to get them to me, and were legit rude about it, saying "oh, were so busy". Guess what? I will leave you alone when Im not in pain - one less person to worry about. I have to be able to walk at least 3-4 times before my Dr. will release me. Surgery complete at 9am - first walk complete at 8:30pm. Again, they were so busy, they just couldnt get to it. Again, once I am released, you will have one less person to actually give medical care to, but since I cant walk without one of them, I have to wait. These are just the little things - I was released with a low grade fever and had to return the ER the next morning due to dehydration. The lawsuit is basically writing itself. And, before trolling: I have insurance through my husbands job - we both have careers - no free anything here. This surgery was planned a month in advance. And, because they are providing medical care, or lack there of, I am on my best behavior. Not being rude or disrespectful or anything. My nurses were Kim, Sarahi, and Aubree. Kim is the worst! Rude, forgetful, and does not follow written or verbal direction. Sarahi tried to convince me that even though the dr. wrote he would specifically take care of removing some items, the nurses usually do it in the morning - I dont have to worry about what the dr. said. And, Aubree doesnt know how to work the medical equipment to turn the volume down on my leg machine, so she just turned it off (I clearly dont have to worry about getting blood clots anymore, which is awesome when they still wont let me walk on my own and they are no where to be found). Thanks to Google, I had silence in my room and the machine still worked. Since one star is required, it can go to the person who delivered my fruit - she was very friendly, and I hope one day she can train the others on, well, anything really.

Heres the problem: In her review Ms. Nemec-Palmer described the horrible experience she had with her 65 year old father. The real problem at the ER, AND THE ER ONLY, is that I would guess 80 percent, or more, of the patients waiting for treatment are illegals (undocumented aliens), or people who know how to game the system and wont be paying a SINGLE DIME for their treatment. I have nothing against LEGAL ALIENS, LEGAL MEXICANS, LEGAL PATIENTS, BUT I DO HAVE A PROBLEM when our medical system is overloaded by these people who rob the rest of us of reasonable care and treatment AND WE END UP PAYING FOR IT THROUGH OUR HIGHER PREMIUMS. Now, as to the treatment received once youre in the hospital, our family found the staff in the ICU (4 days) and on the 3rd floor (just under 2 weeks) to be FANTASTIC!!!! I know it also helped that the daughters and other family members were sitting in the room with their mother for hours each day. No doubt that would have to help ensure a little more attention, but, in all honesty, I dont think so. The nurses, doctors, etc. were wonderful, good explanations for everything, etc. The meals/food were above average. So....all in all...we have no problem with the hospital in general. Our issue, MINE MAINLY, is that the ER rooms in hospitals ACROSS THE COUNTRY are being flooded by the illegals and uninsured who know how to game the system and put so much pressure on the hospitals because they have no recourse. Just think what would happen if the hospital through one illegal Mexican out....holy hell would break out...they cant do this by law because they are at the ER and the illegals know this. OUR FABULOUS MEDICAL / HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IS BEING DESTROYED BY OBAMACARE AND THE STUPID LAWS.

I went to ER after 4.5 days of a Fever, Severe Cough, Chest Pain, crackling lungs etc. After about 1 hour in the waiting room, I was shown to my room. Not offered a pillow or blanket, even though I was running a temp and freezing. I am not hooked up to any monitors, I am not offered anything for fever or pain I a experiencing. After about 30 mins, a NP comes in, says she will order a breathing treatment and chest xray. (Never saw her again). Within 10 mins, the xray tech comes in, takes the xray. Another hour or so goes by, still not being monitored, the RT comes in for breathing treatment. She hooks me up, puts me on oxygen and a meds in the mask. Then walks out. No vitals checked. She left me there. (Never saw her again either) 30 Mins later, my husband (who is also an RT comes in, and says why do you still have this on? My heart was racing from the OD of Oxygen! He takes me off the mask, shuts down the O2. At this point my husband was becoming frustrated because I was in pain. He had to chase down an RN to find out whats going on. They said I had the Flu. They prescribed Tamiflu! WHY?! Tamiflu is only effective (somewhat) if it is taken 24-48 hours of the symptoms. NOT 4.5 DAYS! It was a useless RX! It was BY far the WORST ER experience I had ever had! Should myself or anyone else need Emergency care, we will NOT go there!

The doctors and medical staff here are horrible and could care less about patients. The experiences Ive had have been consistently bad with a complete lack of compassion and general concern for my well being (once an ER doctor didnt even palpate my area of pain, instead he just wrote out a prescription for painkillers and walked away.) Older family members have also had disappointing and traumatic experiences here. My father-in-law almost died because he didnt receive an adequate diagnostic evaluation. Instead, the doctors assumed it was nothing major and sent him home as quickly as they could. Three days later I took him back to the ER because he became septic. And now my mother-in-law is also suffering from the poor quality of care and service at this hospital. Aside from being neglected, her personal items (clothes, phone, iPad, wallet) were in limbo for almost an entire day until my husband went to her previous unit himself and found them. Thank God nothing was stolen. This is a hospital were patients need strong family advocates to ensure they are getting the proper care and attention they deserve!

This is not my first experience with this hospital. My 94 year old mother was admitted with a hip fracture. I am her medical power of attorney. I was out of town and trying to get information. From the get go the customer service was unbelievably poor. I do believe the hospital is clean and set up fairly nicely. I loved that my mother had a private room. She was adequately cared for. The nursing assistant was nice and helpful. Her name was Melody. The nurses across the board were rude and neglectful. I was kind and courteous at all times, trying not to bother them. In return I was treated like a nuisance. Particular the second floor nurse Kim was terrible. From the time the Hospitalist told us at 10:00 am we would be discharged, it took 9 hours to actually get out of the hospital. Yes. 7:00 pm. I received no discharge orders. I received nothing. They said it was faxed to my mothers care home. It was not. Kim made rude and sarcastic remarks when I asked her anything. I was appalled at her rude behavior. I hope someone asks me to review our stay because it was the worst ever.
