I would give less than one star if possible. I visited Heber Valley Hospital really early one morning in January, during a blizzard, because I had strep, and I went looking for an InstaCare (which I learned doesn’t exist at that facility, or anywhere in Heber). When I asked where I could find an InstaCare, I was told by the nurse that my only option was an after hours walk-in clinic, but I’d have to wait until after 6:00pm. I was in so much pain, I couldn’t wait, and also couldnt imagine driving to Park City in the blizzard to find an InstaCare. I knew all I needed was the rapid strep test and a prescription, which is exactly what was provided to me that morning. In and out in 20 minutes. I understand there’s a charge to be seen, and the ER is more expensive than a regular visit or an InstaCare, but the strep test was just under $50, and wasn’t even seen by the incredibly smug doctor, although he did come in to introduce himself, and tell me in a very condescending manor, it probably wasnt even strep. A few weeks later, I received a bill for $1,055! I felt so strongly the charges for my visit were unjust under the circumstances and VERY basic treatment received, and in hopes of IHC working with me to reduce the amount, I formally disputed the charges in writing as required. I recently received their reply, and my request was "respectfully declined". I was told I was, in fact, evaluated by the doctor, and he "ordered my treatment/services, and provided a prescription". Are you kidding me? I just moved to Heber this past September, and still getting familiar with the area. Since my unfortunate visit to the Heber Valley Hospital ER in January, I have downloaded the Intermountain Connect Care app so I can been "seen" for $49 and something ridiculous like this never happens again. What a horrible experience! I will never go there again!

As we introduce our son to friends and family and relate the story of his birth we always comment on how much we loved delivering at Heber Valley Medical Center. We absolutely loved the attentive care we received from the nursing staff. They made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. My husband was especially impressed with how well they treated him and responded to his needs even though he wasn’t the patient. I’d like to mention Dr. Tayler in particular. I especially appreciated his kindness and gentle nature. He was so professional and respectful with me every time we interacted, despite a lack of sleep and pressing demands elsewhere in the hospital. While the staff was fantastic, we also really enjoyed the beautiful, large room we stayed in and the delicious meals we ate.

If youre looking to pay ridiculous amounts of money (for simple procedures, like a fishhook being caught in a thumb) and be treated like a paycheck this is the hospital of your dreams! You wont able to pay rent, buy food, or pay for gas to fill your car with what these jokers charge. Thank God they get to buy their fancy shmancy cars.

If it were possible to give them 0 stars for this review... I would. This hospital only cares about your pocket book. They will charge you astronomical amounts of money for simple procedures and they dont care how it affects you. I would rather drive the 40 miles to a clinic in SLC or die trying, than step foot in this hospital again.

Smaller facility, but great care. Staff is crazy friendly, and this feels more like a bunch of family taking care of you. They cant so everything, but for the basics this location really is a good option.
