Hello, I have a small OP surgery for tomorrow. Over the course of a week Ive spoken with multiple people, who in turn have given me multiple fees that are due prior to services. I understand I have not met my copay but I also understand that with you guys new policy there is something that could be done to assist patients that are not fully aware of the "upfront payment". Instead I am given the run around. Banner Financial Services told me that arrangement could be made but will have to pay copay. I was told my copay is $250 for the hospital and I must also pay $400 (not quite sure if this is for Dr or office) with a balance of about $1300. I keep getting bounced around but at this time my only option is to cancel surgery due to this. I was told that this "upfront payment" is new to stop increasing debt to the hospital. While this may be true the constantly increased fees assigned for services, big and or small, has some of the blame. A prime example is when I was in a car accident and the hospital had to help me with my AHCCCS paperwork. They submitted the wrong date on my forms and I was left with a bill over $1000. I tried to appeal with no luck. So the hospitals mistake has cost me and at the same time nothing has been done to correct this even after 9 yrs. So just spoke with hospital and told that nothing can be done due to not being an emergency and a scheduled surgery. Thanks for refusal to work with patients. Even after my last issue with going septic due to waiting in waiting area for over an hr while have a miscarriage in 2013 I still decided to use you guys for Services.

How do I begin to describe how awful this place is? I came last night to the ER with complications due to my hysterectomy. The receptionist was rude and blew me off. I waited almost 2 hours before I finally left and went to another hospital (that took me in IMMEDIATELY due to my condition). When my husband asked the receptionist if she knew how much longer we would be waiting she snaps at him. Not professional at all. I was in some of the worst pain of my life not knowing if I had internal bleeding or something worse and I had to wait and wait. A drugged out homeless person was brought back before me and others just because he wanted a bed... Even the man that took my vitals didnt seem to listen to me and wanted to know why I wouldnt go to my hospital that I had surgery at after I just told him its in Phoenix (way too far to drive in my condition). Clearly no one cares at this place, is rude, and has no sense of prioritizing patients based on their actual real symptoms. If you want to be treated poorly, wait forever, and have others that dont need to be in an ER get taken in before you...go here. Otherwise please do what I did and leave before you collapse on their waiting room floor.

If you want to die go to this ER. They are notorious for Mis diagnosing or not treating very serious issues leading to Major complications. I came in with severe acute lower abdominal pain. They got me right in and the PA did urinary analysis in blood work and when that came back clear he did nothing else he didnt even palpate my stomach or listen with a stethoscope until I made him. He then said to come back if it gets worse knowing that the standard care is to do imaging he let me go without any treatment. Two days later my diverticulitis ruptured and I was in emergency surgery to have my bowel resected. A simple CT would have showed that I had Diverticulitis and they could have treated it with antibiotics and medicines and possibly prevented it from rupturing. Ive started asking around and many patients have had this type of experience with Banner Ironwood ER if at all possible go somewhere else I ended up going to the Gilbert Hospital when it ruptured and they immediately diagnosed it did Imaging I even actually saw a doctor in the ER not a PA and the surgeon was great he was able to repair my colon without a colostomy.

Uncaring ER staff. Rude nurses. Sexist doctor that would not explain my wifes symptoms to her but kept trying to explain them to me for some reason. Im not the patient my wife is so explain things to her not me. At the end of the whole experience the nurse was the one that explained what exactly was going on. The doctor gave a completely wrong and half assed recommendation on what he thought was going on that contradicted what he had written down on the discharge paperwork. He also ignored one of the major things we came to the ER about by totally blowing off any type of explanation and just said "I really dont know what it is but dont worry about it." Now my wife doesnt know if shes dealing with something mild that will go away or cancer. Im serious about that last comment too. If its an emergency and you have no choice go here because they are the only immediate option in the area. Otherwise I recommend to take the drive to anywhere else is the surrounding community.

My mother was a COPD patient in the ICU unit. Third Floor. She was in there for about 7 days. My sister flew out to be with my mom, and I drove out from San Diego. We dealt with alot of respiratory therapists, nurses, and a few doctors. I have immense gratitude for this staff . They tended so compassionately to my mom, and us. I can not remember all of them, but we were taken care of by Matt, Glenda, Ryan, Bonnie, Dr. Jameson..who is fantastic, and Dr. Kefarkian...sorry..cant remember his correct name. Several staff prayed with my mom, and treated her with such love and dignity. My mom wanted to go home to die. She did. Hospice transported her by ambulance, and she passed away peacefully 6 hours later (on Feb. 22, 2017)in her own bed with her dog and husband and her two daughters by her side. Bless these angels and may you know how much you touched my heart. With gratitude, Sandy Jenkins

If I could give this facility 10 stars on this rating, I would in a heart beat! I delivered my son here just last week and everything went smooth & my stay was very pleasant. Everyone from reception at check-in through ER to the doctors, nurses at my nurse station both day & night shifts, techs, anesthesiologist & all that attended my surgery as well as food service staff & house keeping and everyone in between that we came in contact with and entered our room, all were nothing but kind, friendly, welcoming, understanding, patient, caring and very professional. I have never had such a wonderful experience at any other facility, this was truly exceptional! Overall, if youre planning your next babys birth here, I truly hope your experience & stay at this facility is as wonderful as mine. =)
