Came to the ER at 3PM because i got dizzy and had passed out cold a couple of days before. I had been getting dizzy when standing up and only when standing up. My family urged me to go to ER so I went to Banner heart hospital. At registration i told my symptoms and the girl immediately said syncope and she said but i dont know since im just a receptionist. So i get in to see a doctor and i had a headache and neckache and i had the blanket around my head to support my neck and keep the light from bugging me. The nurse seen this and and got me a neckbrace. Then she asked what symptoms brought me in and told her and she said oh lets do a test for syncope and sure enough my blood pressure dropped drastically when i got up. Syncope! Then the some guy walks in looking awful his clothes were completly wrinkled and just very disheveled. I went to say he was in the wrong room when he said he was Dr. Delgoirno the cardiologist on staff. I was shocked and i said i told him what happened and that i can follow up with my cardiologist since i was on blood pressure pills and i felt fine except sometimes the dizziness when i get up. Syncope! He asked who my cardiologist is and I told him and Dr. Delgiorno said well he is not in this state any longer and that he can take my drivers license away if i leave. So i of course felt threatened and stayed. I agreed with the cat scan since i did hit my head and that was fine. Urine test came back with a UTI which shocked me and already did the symcope test. Thought i should be able to leave but he would not let me go and of course I was afraid i would get my license taken away. Now mind you i had no problems last two days and i drove myself to the hospital. Dr. Delgoirno wanted more tests and kept me in the observation room. I had told the nurse i have anxiety and they didnt have my medicine and said well looks like you dont have any tonight. And that was that but they had a pill for my headache i said i cant take pain pills as they mess me up. They said dont worry it will be ok. I took them. I did sleep and i woke up with anxiety. I said i have to leave and they said i needed more tests. Why more tests? Well i had a panic attack and they gave me a shot of ativan which yea made me feel better. By 2PM the next day i asked Dr. Delgoirnio if I could go home, he said no he wanted more tests. This is 23 hours later. Finally at 4PM as a nurse was saying to someone else that everyone was going, i took my unplugged my heart monitor which never had any abnormal readings. I took my purse and walked the length of the hospital with this IV sticking out of my hand and went to were i parked in the covered visitors section and went home. I passed security, doctors and nurses. No one said a word. I got home and a few minutes later a security guard showed up at my door and said the hospital wants to know if my IV is out. I showed him that i had taken it out here at home and he said thank you and left. Oh i called my cardiologist and he never left the state and is still in his same office. I have no respect for this quack Delgiorno. He wanted money and threatened me. He knew i was alone and vulnerable. I was an easy target to make some money. Now i wonder what my hospital bill will be. It was 75.00 for ER visit but since i was under "observation" undoubtedly it will more than triple. This is how they get their money. I will never ever go to this hospital again. I should have listened to the receptionist who immediately said syncope since i stopped taking blood pressure pills and havent gotten dizzy since and my blood pressure is fine. I could have saved probably my bill will be at least 800.00. Never again at this hospital and ive been telling everyone about this quack guy who calls himself Dr. Delgiorno. I gave two stars because i like the ER nurse. Dr. DelGiorno gets a minus 5. Im sure i helped pay for some fancy car.

Some great staff but the lack of knowledge by some is absurd. I went back into rhythm and nurse, yes a nurse not assistant wanted to ask Dr. If they still wanted to do a cardioversion. Oh my God Im back in rhythm why would they have to cardiovert me now ? Stupid! Not one of them knew that the rollaround stand to check your heart rate and pulse or the one they carry in their pocket to check your heart rate and oxygen neither one of those machines will work on a a fib patient and I told a few of them and all of them were argumentative about it. Tried telling me my heart rate was 54 when in fact it was going from 110 to 140 Again just stupid . I have been there seven times not one of them know how to remove a bandage the bandage has holes all over the top of it to rub adhesive remover on it and it will slide right off but they still want to try to use alcohol and tear it off of your arm no one is informed how to use new medical supplies Again I try to tell them each time but it is again to be argumentative as everybody knows everything. Very scary to be so uneducated and working in the heart department . and again asked at 3:30 in the morning to get out of bed so they can wiegh me I have been in the hospital 18 times in my life and I have never ever heard of such a thing and again argumentative because I will not get out of bed at 3:30 in the morning for them to wiegh me, again very stupid people. Both my arms are bruised from having them to put in not one not two but three IVs because they will not get the ultrasound machine to properly insert the IV. I wish I could post pictures as both of my arms are swollen from being filled with medication because they missed the vein or backs back out of the van because they do not properly know how to do it or they are just too proud to get someone else or the ultrasound machine it seems to me the patients are not first at banner fart and God for bid if they clean up after themselves or wash their hands when they enter your room

My wife when in for an angioplasty, our appointment time was 2 to 2:30. We showed up at 12 as requested to admitting. They led us up stairs and started prep work on my wife. 2 o clock came and went, 2:30 came and went, finally at 3:10 my wife had to use the rest room and a nurse told her that she was moved back to 4 or 4:30 pm, 4 hours later. At 4:10 they finally came and took her into the cath lab. The operation was over in 40 minutes. Dr Kohlar did not go into see my wife either prior or after the procedure. I was 10 minutes late, by that time Dr Kohlar had left. The nurses tried to have him come back but he refused. A Dr Gang came into the recovery room and told my wife and myself that she required triple by pass surgery. Dr Kohlar should have came into the room and introduced Dr Gang to my wife and myself, because we did not know this doctor or the procedure, my wife deceided to check her self out to obtain a second opinion. When she told the nurses of her decision, to leave the hospital they immediately copped an attitude toward her. They got down right rude to her to the point that she had to defend her decision to leave. After the confrontation my wife could not get any assistance from the nurses. Buzzers were going off on the equipment and they would not come into her room to fix the problem until they absolutely had to. My wife ask her to adjust her bed and the nurse was extgremely rough when she helped her. We had to sign a release not to hold the hospital responsible before they would release her. This hospital in my mind is totally irresponsible and uncaring to the needs of patients. My wife was told my the nurse that the nurses and the doctors did not want to see her back in Banner ever again, in other words she was not welcome at Banner Heart Hospital.
