The short version: We went in for shots for the cats and discovered one needed teeth extracted. Ive worked in vet clinics before so I knew it was a pricey proceedure and didnt mind that as it was necessary for my kittys health. But we ended up paying literally three times what we were quoted and every single quote they gave us was incorrect. We found out via phone call once, and the other two times AT THE REGISTER. The long version: the cats teeth were pretty bad and the vet diagnosed several extractions. Dr. Stone told us that her canines would have to be pulled as well as some molars. The vet tech brought us a quote. There was no high/low quote, mind you. There was one figure and we were told to expect to pay that figure. I asked them as well to shave her belly while she was under. I got an acknowledgement each time and saw him write it on the chart. Well I come to pick up my girl and the lady at the register explains that one of her teeth fell out during the proceedure and had been added to the bill. So it went from about $325 to $370. Thats not bad and stuff happens. I get it. I paid the bill and was happy to see my kitty again. The vet and a tech brings her out and explains that she did well, that aside from the one tooth, there were no complications and just showered her with compliments. Very sweet lady and very kind tech. Then the vet proceeded to explain the NEXT proceedure. I was a little confused and asked if a second diagnosis had been made. She patiently explained that all they had done was thoroughly clean her teeth and extract the two teeth in the back (including the one that fell out) and that she still needed to come in to get her canines out. I assumed a misunderstanding on my part but went ahead and accepted the quote for the second round of extractions. It was an additional $350. Bummed, but yknow. What can you do? So I signed it and took my cat. I noticed immediately that her belly wasnt shaved and asked about it. The vet and tech both apologized and promised theyd do it the next time she came in. Round two started off fine. I got my girl all checked in nice and quickly. As always, everyone was super nice. I want to stress that at no point was anyone ever rude. I left and about two and a half hours later got a phone call from one of the techs. She informed us that theyd made a mistake on our quote and quoted us for one extraction instead of two. So the total was going to be $470, instead of $350. The cat was already under proceedure and again, the tech was very kind an apologetic. I mentioned that wed also need meds for both cats for the upcoming move to Colorado (long drive!) and she said that shed take care of it. I show up to pick up the cat and theyve charged me an extra $30-something for the meds (which is a high enough add on that I wished theyd mentioned it) and once again the cats belly was not shaved. They said to come back in five days so they could check on her. I said okay and scheduled that appointment for today. Now today was the final straw. I went in and they took her to the back. Everything seemed fine until the vet came out and showed me the extraction sites. They were infected and needed to be taken care of. She (very kindly) offered to take care of it today since I leave tomorrow, and I agreed. Before she went back though, I asked what I was going to be paying and she said that I would only have to pay for the anesthetic. I thanked her a bunch and turned to the receptionist for further clarification. The receptionist told me it would only be $49 total. I was elated and thanked her. When I returned this afternoon, they not only tried to charge me for the proceedure, but once they finally agreed to take that off the bill (AS PROMISED), they charged me $87. I was pissed and only then did they get irritable with me. I left because Im not the kind of person to yell at people at their jobs but wow was I upset. In short, do NOT trust the quotes. We went in for a $350 proceedure and have ended up paying about 1k.

I had to put my 13 1/2 year old dog down due to severe medical issues. It was a very tough situation considering how close I was to her. After an ER trip to Maumelle and dealing with her vet @ Petsmart in LR, I was short on funds to be able to afford euthanasia and cremation. However, for all the amazing memories and love that she gave me over the decade, I knew that I had to give her something nice. I called around and was St. Francis was in the middle of the pack for pricing. When the day came to put her down, they were very compassionate and allowed us our time with her before the final injection. I will CAUTION everyone needing this done: I regret allowing them to sedate her w/o my presence because by the time she came back out, she was immobile and I dont really know f she was even "there." I tell myself that she was but she couldnt move. I hate myself for letting them do that behind closed doors. I do not fault them, I fault myself. We were allowed ample time to spend with her and I was able hold her as the final injection went in. She was cremated and returned to me in a beautiful box with a simple yet beautiful name placard. I am grateful. I have my girl back at home with me now.

I wont take my pets anywhere else. They have treated my cats and even my rats. As wonderful as they are with my cats the way they treated my rats was my first impression of this vets office and let me know what kind of people I was dealing with. As specialty pets I was prepared to pay out the nose for treatment for them and hope that the vet would even see them in the first place. Dr. Stone saw my little fuzzballs and the staff treated them wonderfully and the price for the treatment was perfectly reasonable and they have always given me a quote when I needed it to see what I could afford. They have actually put both of my rats to sleep for me when the time came. The whole situation was handled with compassion and kindness and I cant say enough nice things about the whole staff. My cats are also treated by Dr. Stone, I have three ranging from 20 years to less than a year old and they always receive top notch treatment. To make a long story short, I highly recommend this vet office to anyone in the Conway area looking for a good vet.

I have been using a vet close to home but had to have my fur baby referred to a updated office that had a dental x-ray machine so was referred to St Francis, First visit was just awesome, from the lady you meet us at the door to the Drs assistant that was incredible with my baby. (Yorkie) They did the dental work and called me several times to keep me informed on what was going on and when she was finished. When I went to pick her up the Dr. meet with me and explained everything in detail and even showed me all the x-rays and saved her teeth in a bottle for me. I will be using St, Francis as our regular vet . Oh and they give a free nail clipping. Love them
