I took my cat in for a dental issue. Was told she had a couple bad teeth that needed to be pulled and also convinced me that she needed a full dental cleaning. I questioned it a little as my cat was 13 and I did not want to put her through anything unnecessary. But was told this was best. The cost for everything was more than I could afford. But I had to manage for my sweet girl. 2 weeks after her procedure she still was acting like her mouth was bothering her and she was not eating well. An assistant looked at her first as the vet was taking care of an emergency, she said her mouth looked ok just try different food. I insisted on waiting for the Dr. as I knew my cat and it was not right. The dr then looked at her mouth and noticed a protruding mass where the teeth were pulled. After testing it turns out she had a sarcoma in her gums and thats what was causing the trouble. I ended up having to put her down as she was suffering. My issue with this whole situation is the dr missing this and taking every cent I had for an unnecessary procedure. Yes they were very apologetic for my loss, and the dr seemed really compassionate. Which is why 2 stars instead of 1. But no one apologized for the misdiagnosis or even tried to right it somehow. In fact they put their hand out one last time for a few hundred more dollars to euthanize her. I just think this could have been handled a lot better. I understand veterinary care is expensive and they deserve it for the care they give our furbabies. But sometimes it cant be all about the money and we need to take some responsibility when we make a mistake.

I will never take my pet there for boarding again!!! I put my dog in a suite for two nights thinking my dog would get premium care. Unfortunately, I feel he got very little care! First of all, they tell you they will give you a call to tell you how your pet is doing and they failed to do that! Even after I called to remind them that I have not received a call from them, they still did not call me back!! Then one morning I go online (because you can view your pet if they are in a suite) only to see my little dog surrounded in feces and urine!!! What the heck!! I complained to Angie Ziegler, the manager, who appears callous and assured me that my dog was taken outside four times a day. When I asked her to produce the video showing me that my dog was indeed taken out four times a day, she could not produce this video for me!!! She knew I was not happy with the service and she should have at least offered me a discount or something, but of course she is not going to do that. I looked online and come to find that she is the financal exec. of this establishment. There is no way she is going to ruin their 1 to 2.5 million in annual revenue! I wish I could post the pic I took on my iPhone showing my little dog surrounded by his urine and feces!! and the dog in the suite next door to him also had feces in his/her suite as well. In conclusion, I feel they do not give the dogs enough time outside nor do they probably even care!! They just probably pray and hope nobody goes online and sees that their precious pet surrounded in their own waste!

I booked an appointment with this vet because she was a breeder & told that there was an in house lab that could do the test as I needed very timely results. My apt was late in the afternoon- Dr. Jackson was quite crass and used very inappropriate language while referring to my dog and breeding her. I was told that the test I had come for had to be sent out as they did not do that particular test in house and I would not have the results until the next day. Then they provided me with an estimate that was literally 4 time the cost of what the test should be! They knew that time was a factor and that I would not have time to see another vet to have it done, so I had the test performed (blood work) and paid my bill. I received a letter from them asking about my visit and I wrote them back detailing all the reasons I was not happy with their services. I have written to and spoken with the office manager several times to get a partial refund for the way over priced lab work and after over a month was finally told unapologetically that she "stands by her doctor and their prices" & that "they would not be refunding any of my money." I believe that all business should make a profit but to book an appointment based on a service that although offered, was not done the way I had been told at the time of booking. To then charge 4 time the going rate for that test is gauging! To have vet speak so unprofessionally and crudely is also unacceptable!

Ive been taking my cats to LHAH for years. My kitties have always received great care there. But only in this past year, when my 19 year old kitty came down with kidney disease, did I realize how truly wonderful they are. Ive never had to deal with anything like this in a cat before, and having to give my kitty fluid treatments for her kidney problems was truly terrifying for me. They showed me how to give the treatments, not just once but several times because I just couldnt get it right! Every time I need to bring her in for a check up, I bring the fluids with me and they give her a treatment for me for free. Even if Im not bringing her in for a check up, I can bring her in any time and they will give her the treatment for free. Lately, I have been seeing Dr. Solis and she is my favorite vet there . She has helped me treat my aging kitty for other various things related to aging like nasal congestion and kitty acne and my kitty, Jasmine, is doing just great. Thank you Dr. Solis and LHAH!!
