I should have listened to all the negative reviews re: this business . Horribly managed bait and switch business. First time customer , initially took my small dog here for a full exam and check up, Alexandria up at front desk is the only pleasant employee there encountered, and you can tell she loves animals. However she cannot save the very poor management of this business. Even though my first Dog exam was free, it was a waste of time basically, the male Vet doctor, who looks like he hates his job, did not even smile or act friendly in any way with myself or my dog. He barely inspected his body, and teeth, and after 2-3 mins just said , he looks ok, and was ready to leave, he acted in a hurry and even annoyed at my couple addtl basic questions. I should have known this was not an honest business, when I asked him to just tell me if the dog had been neutered or not, he took a quick glance at my dog, and said he cannot tell me, I would have to get an Ultr sound for almost 500.00 dollars just to confirm this info. I was in disbelief. I should have ran from this place then. However, since they already now had all my dogs info, and I know he really needs to get his back teeth cleaned. So made the decision to later schedule an dental appoint, only after I went on their website to see price for dental and what it includes, then because of all the negative online reviews on how they try to Bait and switch you with surprise junk fees, I even called the office before making dental appt, to confirm price , unless my dog needed any extractions or medication, which I knew would be an addtl fees. I confirmed the charges with 2 of their staff before making appt. Even after all that, & preparing my dog for appt, by not giving him food or water after midnight before, and I take off work to take him there, now the bill before even taking him, jumps up to almost 150.00 dollars more, I question the extra charges that was never mentioned to me by either of employees on my pre-service inquiries, and ask for the office Manager, she comes out , I give her the price min to max that was on their own website , that I had printed out with the date, and their employee names. All she could say was their employees gave out incorr info, they are in training, their website must not be updated, lol, she could only give me 40.00 off, but there is all this addtl blah blah junk fees they must charge me for. I am quite sure she knew of all my time and preparations, and that I took off work etc, so she figured I would have no choice but to pay their Bait and switch extra fees. I was in disbelief at what they were trying pull on myself as a new customer. I packed my lil doggy up, and even though they wasted so much of time, kindly told her that your customers do not like bait and switch suprises pulled on them, and this not good business practice, as all their only negative online reviews show. I could never trust this very poorly managed business, with no integrity about their reputation, and just very bad business practices!

I have been coming here on and off for 15 years and have never gotten the same vet twice nor seen the same office staff more than a couple of times. Dont know what the turnover is all about but often they are severely understaffed. Brought my dog and three-month-old kitten in on Wednesday, July 19 to check on a couple of concerns. The veterinarian was helpful and knowledgeable but the only person in the front office was failing miserably at multi-tasking. I asked for 2 written prescriptions for the flea medicine Comfortis (1 for the dog and 1 for the cat.) I was told "no problem." When I got home I realized the prescriptions were not with my paperwork. The next day I called and asked if those prescriptions were somewhere on the desk. After being put on hold 3 or 4 times to look for them, then to look up my account I was told they werent found but that prescriptions would be written for me and waiting to be picked up. On Saturday I stopped in for those prescriptions. The small, awkward parking lot was overflowing. Many cars badly parked including one diagonally across the only handicap spot. The waiting room was loaded with people and animals. Once again only one receptionist. She asked if she could help me and as I began to explain the phone rang. Never mind that I was standing right there, face to face she answered it as I was midsentence. While shes talking she motioned for me to sign in. As I was not there with a pet, just to pick up a couple of written prescriptions I tried to tell her that. She rudely said "sign in anyway!" So, the reason for that was she took the written page and looked up my account in the computer while she was on the phone. She then told me there were no prescriptions waiting for me. "No not actual prescriptions, written prescriptions." I said. Looking in a small file she pulled out a prescription and said here I have one for Maggie. "Where is the one for Nala,? I asked. Quite rudely she said "This is the only one. There are other people ahead of you, youll have to wait!" That was it. That was the third time for this simple request. It was gotten wrong on Wednesday during my visit, on Thursday when I called inquiring about the whereabouts of these items. And now the third and final strike out. I said, "I am not waiting I have walked through that door for the last time." Then proceeded to walk out of it. I will never, ever step foot in there again! Now I have to take my animals to another vet, pay for an office visit to get prescriptions for their flea medicine. Affordable Care Animal Hospital has wasted my time and my money! Not very affordable!

NOPE! NOPE! NOPE!! Dont do it. The only thing "affordable" is the first office visit, after that, prepare to go broke! Besides cost, I have issues with this place. 1. Parking is terrible - least of the problems 2. Front office is nothing but chaos. There are a few staff member who are calm and collected, while others are rude, loud and could care less about ones privacy. No, its not cool to yell across the lobby to gather information or to discuss a quote for services - seriously?! 3. The doctor gives out worst possible news before testing to confirm diagnosis. His demeanor spiked anxiety in us only to find out the next day it wasnt nearly as serious. 4. Everything on the quote was a rush job, when it wasnt an emergency. Cost was out of control! I asked for my pets records and went to Long Beach Animal Hospital on Anaheim. They were wonderful and caring. The atmosphere is calm and soothing and the doctor and staff cared about my pet. We had to move forward with a surgery, which cost me over $1,000.00 LESS than what was quoted by Affordable! We will not be going back to Affordable - theres bad juju going on!

This is such a terrible business. First, they give bad service because they dont wanna do business with me anymore. I left a review on yelp and they were so offended and petty that they called my older sister and said my review was very rude and they didnt like seeing that at all. They said if we dont like this place then why go here? I was just really astonished by this immatureness. This place is the opposite of affordable, its hella expensive! They kept piling my vet bills on and on and they wouldnt perform the splin on my dog unless she got bloodwork? How stupid is that? The service here is not great, the business is not great in general. They were judgmental and rude to my sisters too. I definitely will never come back here and I recommend everyone to stay away from this horrid place. Save your money, time, and gas and use it on a different vet thats actually reliable and not immature.
