This animal hospital was very nice, clean, etc., everything it should be in that respect and staff was very friendly from assistant to doc. They were also able to get me in short notice which was awesome because I thought my cat was going to die from uncontrollable diarrhea. So why the 3 stars? After telling the story of my cats sickness and getting the costly tests ($300+) recommended, the doc had no answer for us, and recommended a bland diet along with some probiotics which I bought from them hoping for the best. Neither the diet or the probiotics helped :( A few days later I told my dad what the cat was going thru and he told asked me if I lived near a lot of sand (hmmm...Redondo BEACH is pretty sandy...even a mile or two away from the shore). I had just moved there about two months before the cat got sick and explained to dad, that yeah, we do live somewhere sandy now and he explained to me what was wrong with the cat and how to fix it. My dad works on computers for a living btw. He said it was sand colick and to give the cat chia seed in his food. The cat was able to control his bowels for the first time in a week after I fed him some chia and he was better (totally back to normal) within a few hours. Now every time I see loose movements like that starting, I put a few seeds (1/2 tsp.) in his wet food and viola, all better. Bottom line, I feel a vet working in the beach area shouldve been able to give the same advice or better advice than my dad did but unfortunately it didnt work out that way and cost me lots of money and my cat was sick for a week when he couldve been better in a couple hours.

I have been doing business with Dr. Hutson for about 13 years. I can not say enough about her and her staff. I am very particular about who I trust with my pets and she has passed the test with flying colors. In fact I have moved to Long Beach and still drive to see her when my dog needs care. It is worth it. She is very committed and knowledgeable. She understands the role that our pets play in our lives and how important they are to us. It is my belief that she treats each one as if they were her own. She is extremely thorough and detailed in every part of her practice. I highly recommend taking your pet to Dr. Hutson, you will not regret it.

I have been been bringing my Lhasa Apso to Dr. Hutsons office for several years. I am especially impressed by the personalized attention. The office takes pictures of the pets, and their owners, and greets us by name. The staff controls traffic in the office so pets do not have to wait in a crowded lobby where pets can get into conflicts; we are ushered into an examining room quickly.Dr. Hutson calls in the evenings, for the convenience of working people, for test results and other concerns. All staff members, doctors, assistants, receptionists, are kind and caring.

We went to Dr. Hutsons office based on the reviews and were pleased with the service. However, when we had an emergency (2nd in 24 hours) we were told that they couldnt help us because they were closing in 15 minutes. The doctor suggested we go to the emergency clinic and request a prescription for some medicine that would help. I asked if they could fill it and was told that since they were closing they couldnt help me. We live less than 2 minutes by car and could have made it before they closed. Weve never felt so let down by a vet and we havent gone back.

We moved here about a year ago and have been happy with Dr. Hutson and her office. I have a barky schnauzer, so appreciate that the staff always gets us in an exam room right away. The payments are also processed in the exam room, which means no standing around in a crowded lobby or waiting area. At first, we had a communication mix up because the clinic was only using our home phone number (which we never use and rarely check the messages). However, once we got that corrected and realized how good their online communication options are, things have been fine.

Dr. Hutson and all of the support staff at the Animal Hospital of Redondo Beach are fantastic. Not only do they give top notch care, but they treat their patients with love and respect. My dog gets excited when we pull into the parking lot and her tail wags nonstop when she sees the nurses and Dr. Hutson. Rather than the stressful experience we have had at other vets, the Animal Hospital of Redondo Beach is a welcoming, friendly place. I am also impressed with the diagnostic abilities and outstanding treatment given by Dr. Hutson and her staff.

I must say that is the best animal hospital that i have been too. I had been to 2 previous ones and the attention and care that was given to my dog was nothing near what i experienced at Animal Hospital-Redondo Beach. You can tell that the doctors and assistant do their best to make you and your dog have a positive experience. They really care about the well being of your pet. The prices are reasonable and they dont do any uneccessary procedures. I would trust them to work on any pet that i would have. The are very courteous and welcoming.

I started taking my boxer boy, Rufus here after my long time vet moved out of state. I couldnt be happier with the service Ive been receiving from Dr. Hudson and her staff. They are all friendly and truly care about their patients and owners. Rufus has been having an ongoing issue that has required the attention of multiple specialists. Dr. Hudson has been very good recommending the right specialists and helping me navigate through all of this. I would highly recommend anyone in search of a DVM to set up an appointment.

Dr. Hutson has been our veterinarian since 1996; weve never had less than excellent service from her, Dr. Tempel and the entire staff. Weve been through the entire feline life cycle with them, and theyve been very helpful. Our cat Jazzmine had triaditis in her last years, and I believe she had about eight months longer of quality life than she otherwise would have because of AHORBs attentive care. We moved out of the neighborhood in 2001, but still make the extra trip to bring our two little guys here.

They made me feel like an unwanted refugee and acted very prejudice, they charged me 100$ for an allergy shot I went in for treatment for skin wounds and infections thinking he would get some oitment may be a bandage or cone but nothing they just took pictures of my dog and my face and made me feel like I was a criminal ,they were very rude besides Aicha who helped me through afterwards and completely comforted me ,I will go back for his results and be very rude right back to them this time

My husband and i love the care and attention that the staff and Dr. Hutson give our golden retriever Mattie. Mattie loves the animal hospital even more! It is such a treat for her to go there and her tail is continually wagging even with the rectal thermometers :)! I recently brought Mattie in for a urine analysis, suspecting a UTI , and Dr. Hutson called me that next morning at 0730 to give us the results. Very prompt service, excellent care, and lovely staff!!
