I always feel bad because I never experienced this place to be mean, yes most receptionists I deal with in vets are not always friendly but I find if you walk in with a smile than they are pretty much okay. This place was the same, the receptionists were okay and the staff is nice, but every time I went for the past two years I felt rushed. I thought, "wow so many people in the waiting room so they must be good." The only problem is that there is no time to ask questions or time for you pet. The last time I went, my dog did not have blood taken and my dog is a senior dog which kind of seemed weird to not take blood. But, the vet said it wasnt necessary and after listening to her heart beats the vet said that her heart rate were low. I come to find out from a new vet that the reason why her heart rate is low is because of her thyroid that would only be detected from a blood test that SHOULD BE DONE IN A SENIOR DOG EVERY CHECK UP. OMG I couldnt believe that and I just feel like they didnt care about my dog enough. I had the same type of reaction from other vets that I know or family friends who are vets. They said that an old dog should have everything checked and not just rushed out. The vet was gentle and seemed to like my dog but just didnt really want to do more for her. My dog is now on thyroid meds and so much healthier, fuller and her heart rate is normal. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT SCENARIO?????????????????? Busy waiting room =not enough time for your pet or their health which can = death

I first went to Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital last year when my senior cat developed an eye problem. The staff was very friendly, helpful and compassionate. Thought my kitty had a scratched eye, but over time found out he had a tumor and had to be put to sleep. Dr. Favinsky was great in communicating to me what may be happening and possible treatment options. She had to prescribe an expensive eye drop but did let me know where to purchase the drug at a lesser cost and did everything she could to help. After my kitty was gone, my other kitty got sick from a bacterial infection and we took him to see Dr. Favinsky again. She was able to diagnose his infection quickly and after a course of antibiotics hes well and acting like a much younger cat. Yes, their waiting room is not designer decorated, but it is clean and the staff always was pleasant and helpful. I had been recommended to to this vet after some less than helpful experiences with TLC on Santa Monica. I am glad I went to Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital and will be taking my kitty back to them. Highly recommended if you want quality care that is reasonably priced.

I DO NOT advise anyone to take their pets here. This place does not care about the animals there nor do they provide any quality care. My experience ended with my dog passing. After 3 months of going in for visits, paying for blood work and test- each visit ended with "there is nothing wrong with my dog". Dr. Winters only cares about clients who he can pull the most money from. Hes not working from his heart. This is THE only clinic in Beverly Hills. He has a monopoly over the city and just watches money roll in. I URGE you, if you care for your fur child DO NOT GO HERE. Not once in the 4 months that my dog was ill did him or his staff follow up. Not after my dogs blood work (that cost $500). Not after any visits. Nothing. They just dont care.

The best best best vets. And the prices are so reasonable. Dr Winters is like the hometown housecall vet you read about in books. He doesnt upsell you on a bunch of tests right out of the gate. He has been doing this so long, he just knows what to do! He also is the most caring and hardworking person Ive ever met! Dr Suehiro is an incredible surgeon and a real problem solver. He is the perfect serious balance to Dr Winters gregarious personality. Dr Maie is the sweetest! As a newer vet, she has all the latest info and will work tirelessly to figure out what is wrong with your pet. And the techs are amazing and so compassionate.

Read the other reviews and definitely dont agree with the bad ones. If you need a "Beverly Hills" vet, go next door where you pay Beverly Hills prices. If you really care about your dog and want a place where they do as well, this is the place. They treat you and your dog with compassion and warmth and wont try to load you up with treatments and medicines you dont need. I dont need a lobby that looks like architectural digest, just somewhere that I trust and this is it.

Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital-they are great. They sound expensive but theyre not. When my dog had an ear infection, they saw me the next morning during their walk in time, I was the fourth one seen, charged me half price since her diagnosis was so quick, gave her a shot, some drops and a cream, and I got out of there for a little over $100. Small price to pay for my baby.

I believe this place drop the ball on cleaniness and care for pets. I took my cat for a check up and eye exam and my cat left the facility with, fleas, and other parasites, horrible. The doctors did not want to take responsibility for what happened to my cat. i had to put a lot of medicine on my cat that even some of his hair fell off. worst experience.

Went in as a walk in with my new kitten. They saw us after a brief wait in a fairly full waiting room. Didnt try to up-sell me a bunch of bullshit or over-vaccinate my kitty. Just performed the exam as requested and microchipped him. I will be back! Hopefully for nothing serious though ;)

Put my dog to sleep here, really compassionate. Amazingly, less than half the price of vets near me in the Valley. How weird to go to Beverly Hills to SAVE money?

Receptionists were so so rude to me. So much miscommunication. Very unprofessional. Not a trust worthy place to take you pet. My friends who have been there agree.

I agree the receptionists can learn to be nicer, but get past them and see Dr Winters. I wouldnt go to any other vet in LA.
