This establishment IS NOT FIT TO CARE FOR ANIMALS. We have been taking our dog here for years to have him cared for while we would go out of town and we didnt mind paying the extra money for the hotel because we knew he was in good hands but after the management changed, this establishment has quickly moved in a downward spiral. After coming back from our last trip, we stopped by to pick up our dog to realize (for the first time in 8 years) he had picked up FLEAS. Not to mention our dog was also severely dehydrated. I had not seen him drink that many bowls of water right after another. He had been traumatized. And to think we paid premium for a suite so he would be more comfortable! We approached management with our concerns and they stated there was nothing they would do since we had signed the liability release. It seems they do not care for the animals they are supposedly tending to. They have lost a long-time customer and it wont be long until they will be out of business. If you care for your animal, think twice before dropping him/her off here. I hope nobody has to experience what this lackluster of an establishment has put me and my family through.

Dropped by this morning to pick up some prescription food for my canine. Ive bought from them before but, since new management took over recently, they want me to pay for an exam before purchasing the food. I have 4 vet hospitals that I go to, and this is the only one that has ever refused to let me purchase food, even when faxing the current records over to show my pet is eligible for the prescription. Not only was this an unnecessary inconvenience for me, but its also a sign of a vet who nickels and dimes people. I wont be returning anytime soon.

I just completed a visit with our dog Bianka, and was very impressed with this veterinarian Center. Everybody was extremely nice, very helpful, and the visit was as easy as Ive ever experienced. Dr. Fluent addressed the issues we needed handled, offered great advice and recommendations, didnt try to upsell us... and No smoke and mirrors here. I appreciate this office so so much, for being so efficient and on target. We have found our new vet. Thank you to the whole staff and team at Ortega Animal Care Center! #winninganimalcare

Nice and friendly staff for the most part. Great facility. However, service wasnt what we expected. We were promised a flea shot for our kitten with our first visit. The first time our kitten was under weight we we couldnt get it. Then came in 2 more times via scheduled appointments and they didnt have shot in stock. One staff member got offended when we told her we wanted to talk with the Vet directly to ask a few questions.

Very friendly, helpful, and informative ladies working at the front desk. First time there. Had to get our newly adopted cats nails trimmed. They took him same day and the process was very fast. I asked about the hotel options and prices in case we go out of town. They told me all about the hotel options. The services seem pretty great for a fair price.
