This place used to be awesome! I had a Siberian who we thought had gotten into some rat poison and they loaded me up with Vitamin K for about 1/2 the cost the local pharmacy would have charged (it was still almost $500 for my 100LB monster.) WE have used them over the last 25 years for several animals that needed weekend help, including putting down one of our cats that had been viciously attacked by a dog. Always professional, caring and respectful. Well, a while back (a few years ago) on a Saturday night we had a sick cat, and we took her in. They said she needed an intravenous drip and was running a temp. They took X-rays and after viewing them the vet on duty said she might have cancer. He offered to keep her overnight and said it would be an additional $1200 on top of the $600 we were already at. $1800 for one night? WE opted not to, and took her into our vet, who happens to be one of the sponsors of the EPCSB, two days later on Monday. She said that it was fairly plain to see by the X-rays that it was just a little litter in her stomach (not cancer) and that she had a classic case of cat fever. A shot and some antibiotics; SHE WAS FINE WITHIN A FEW DAYS. First, the staff were young and preoccupied. They were more concerned with whatever it was they laughing and joking around about. I almost felt like there was something else going on. Been there, done that, reminded me of "those days"... except this is in a place where life and death is the important issue. IT wasnt like was in Target buying a bicycle. Very unprofessional, improper assessment of the X-ray, over charged BIG TIME. That was a very bad experience and I guess some people have had similar recently as well. I gave 3 stars because I think its fair to weigh all of my visits (there have been many over the years) its just the last one which was so bad.

This is long due review. Its been about 1 year since I brought my dog here. My dog had consumed some rat poisoning. I got very scared and took my Maltepoo here, once I came in I told them how she had consumed some Tom the cat poisoning, they took her for some quick test in the back. They put me in the waiting room and a Hispanic girl came into the room and had me fill out some paper work, she immediately asked me how I would be paying and I told her I didnt have $600 up front. I asked if they offered billing or payments and she said they didnt. She said the whole amount had to be paid in full that day and if I couldnt they offered credit, if I was approved. It felt more like all they cared about was the money and not my dog. I was already worried and sad about my dog that this made me feel worse I didnt mind paying but I didnt have $600 to pay up front , Im only a college student with a minimum job and as much as I love my dog I couldnt borrow or afford that. I got upset and told her I would take my dog somewhere else. She wasnt being friendly to start with she then told me that my dog wouldnt make it if I took her home! Which made me even more mad because I didnt have much of a choice! I went home and monitored my dog, Followed some home remedies that I found on google. I knew my dog hadnt consumed so much of it because I caught her just in time but I was worried because she is very small. The good thing is that my dog survived she is one of the most strongest dogs and I just wanted to go back and tell that girl how strong she was and how I hope no one else is treated the way I was, because we care about our animals they are part of our family and for someone to bring you down like that it was horrible. I didnt wanna ask for he manager. I didnt want to even bother because I had hope that my dog would make it and she did.!

I took my pup to this clinic and I have to say that they are the best. Its true that they are not open during regular business hours but its great that they are open during "odd" hours. I would bullet point this but heres the breakdown of why I gave this clinic an excellent rating: First, they are conveniently located for me. It was about a 15 minute drive from where I live. Second, when I called them and gave them the details of what was going on with my pup, she was having a seizure from the phone diagnosis, they told me to bring her in. Third, the staff there is super friendly and they were very nice to my pup and me. They checked her out and noticed I wasnt mistreating her in anyway and didnt make any presumptions of the sorts. Fourth, they gave me a choice to have blood work done there or wait till I took her to her primary vet. The price wasnt so bad considering they had the means to to do blood work on site. Fifth, we were in and out of there within 1 hour. Of course, we were the only ones there but I have to say, I was thankful for them because it was my pups first episode and in all the years Ive had pets, Ive never seen an animal have a seizure. Sixth, they gave me recommendations and also what I need to do to try and keep my pup safe and healthy. So, overall, my experience with this clinic was great and they didnt push anything on me. They made sure I was in control of the decision making process and in no degraded me in my care of my pup. I will go to them again if I have any more issues with my animals if it is during "odd" hours and I am not able to see my primary vet.

I would give them zero stars if I could! We had a very sick kitty who had taken a turn for the worse, so we brought here here one night. The staff criticized us over and over for treating her "improperly" even though we were just following our regular vets instructions. The actual vet, who was kind and sensitive, discovered our kitty had a fatal, incurable disease and that we could take her home and let her pass there or that they could put her down. The other staff insulted us when we simply asked about taking her home, saying he "was shocked and had never heard of that" and that we were "sick for wanting to watch our pet die". We were incredibly insulted that he would make such a deep character judgment of us so quickly, when we were only asking about something the vet listed as an option. Wed each had pets that died peacefully at home and wanted to know which option in this case would be more peaceful for our little kitty. To add further insult to injury, after deciding on euthanization, that same staff member asked if we wanted to be present when it happened. Accuse us of having some twisted desire to watch animals suffer and die and then ask us if we want to be present when they took an animals life?!
