The staff is friendly and the clinic is clean and tidy. My familys dental experience with them has always been wonderful. They are great for dental cleanings, cavity fillings and crowns from my experience. However please do not use them for Ortho work.....my son has had nothing but a hard time with the entire experiences from the expanders, braces, and retainers. His expanders would constantly fall off...I can count over 10 trips we made just to have those put back in place over 4 months along with regular check ups in between. Then he had his braces put on and on our way home a bracket popped completely off and there again Im returning to their office so that they could fix it, and finally he gets debanded. A permanent retainer was placed in on the bottom teeth and again this popped off. I now live in Texas so I had to pay $250 dollars with another orthodontist to order him a bottom retainer here since his teeth shifted so quickly and it was recommended not use the permanent retainer. Today, we received his top retainer which again there is trouble, it doesnt fit....We called Cheyenne Dental and we were advised to come back in so they can fit the retainer his teeth. I live 10 hours from Colorado Springs now......and why on earth would I take him all the way back to only be again disappointed that it might not last from my experience with them in everything else regarding ortho. Please find a different orthodontist.....the only way this will work for you is if you have nothing better to do than to take your child back in every other week so they can fix whatever they didnt do right from the beginning or if you plan to never leave Colorado Springs so that once a "permanent" retainer is placed in you can constantly take your child back again to get it fixed for rest of the your life.

After having a not-so-good experience with another dentist in town... I did my research and ended up at Cheyenne Mountain Dental Center. What a great experience! I needed to have multiple procedures done including; fillings, crowns, veneer, and more... in order to get my mouth healthy and get my smile back. They did a great job! Dr. Ralph Parkin and all of his staff are awesome. Their skills and treatment are second-to-none. They made me very comfortable and were very gentle as I am a big baby in the dental chair ;-). Thank you everyone at Cheyenne Mountain Dental Center! Whenever given the opportunity, I will highly recommend you! - Jennifer Montgomery That was my first experience With Dr. Parkin and Cheyenne Mtn. Dental Care over a year ago. And I want to add even more positive, wonderful comments. I recently had dental issues again. And, in a nutshell, Dr. Parkins took a personal call from me on New Years Eve day... went down and opened his closed-for-the-holiday office... and extracted a tooth that was causing me an extreme amount of pain. THEN - when I got back to Manitou Springs and realized I left my purse in his office, I called one of his assistants, Breana, who drove down to the office with her beautiful babygirl in tow... to try and catch the good Doctor and wait for me to turn around and head back. They both met me and my husband at the office and returned my purse. I cant express how wonderful these people are! I think Dr. Parkin is a magician when it comes to pain free treatment, high-quality treatment. I also think he is a loving, all-around good man who really cares for his patience and their well-being! I am lucky to have found the good people at Cheyenne Mountain Dental Care and Im grateful for Dr. Parkin! Jennifer Montgomery 1/6/17

I am extremely disappointed with this dental clinic. The ONLY reason I am giving it two stars is because in the beginning everything was great! The staff was friendly and quick with getting me in and out in a timely manner. Over time I feel like the staff became too complacent and comfortable. Today I spent over and hour and a half waiting to be seen. My appointment time was 3:00. This appointment was scheduled weeks in advance. I arrived to be told they were "backed up" and if I could I should come back in an hour (I arrived at 2:45). I came back at 3:45 to wait another 20 minutes (it is now 4:05) before I was even taken into a room in the back. At 4:20 I got up to ask how much longer it would be since Id been waiting a terribly amount of time and Jessica (the receptionist who was on her phone while I was standing there waiting to be acknowledged) got an attitude and stated she doesnt know and that I should ask my asstsitant. Obviously if an assistant would have came to check on me I would have asked but no one did! So I said I need to be seen right away or rescheduled she said okay we can reschedule you. I said okay so when will you all be able book me for another appointment since Im on your time and you arent on mine. Then she proceeded to say well whenever youd like to come in. At this point I was heated so I just walked out. I will return to have my braces removed and after that I will never return again. Im so upset because Ive invested so much money into these braces and time into this place to be treated so awful. Ive referred two people here and I wont be referring anyone else!

After 13 years in the military and after being sent to a lot of crappy dental places, the military finally did something right by sending me to this place. I can not express enough as to how amazing this place is. I recently went in for an appointment to get a couple of fillings taken care of and I took a little longer to numb up than what I was probably suppose to, but everyone was extremely nice and waited until I was comfortable enough for them to begin. Dr. Parkin talked me through everything he was doing either before he did it or while he was doing it. I did not feel left out of anything that was going on, which is a huge deal because I like to know what is happening in my mouth. I did have to go back to have my filling shaved down a little bit more, but only because when they did it the day of my appointment I was so numb I could not really tell what I was doing which was not fault of anyone at the clinic. I called back later that night after my numbing wore off and spoke with Brianna about my issue. She quickly got me an appointment for the following day and when I walked in the next morning she greeted me by name and told me that everything was getting set up and ready for me. I was quickly taken back to a room and within five minutes I was already done. I absolutely love this place. Every single person who works there is amazing and so friendly. Great place to go!

As an Army Reservist, I go where the Army directs for annual dental check ups, and have been to at least 5 different places in the Colorado Springs area. I have gone to this clinic twice now, and have been happy with the care and environment that this clinic maintains and offers. So much so that I had opted to make them my primary dental care provider through my civilian employers insurance. They were actually training a new person while I was being seen, and the advice and guidance they gave her for talking to patients was great for putting patients at ease and building rapport - which is not something that is often seen in dental clinics - I have been used to awkward silence and lots of typing behind my back or out of view. The staff went through everything they were going to do before they did it, explaining tools and equipment along the way, as well, which was also comforting. I would also like to mention the hygienist that I spoke with while there, I think it was Christina (sorry if I mixed up names), because she was very straight forward, helpful, and open about cleanings and helped set up my follow on cleaning. Thanks!
