This place is absolutely amazing.. My story starts with me coming down to Edgewater to visit my daughters. I brought my little Chi with me, he managed to get out while the air repair man came to my daughters apt..he took off out the door and was hit by a champagne painters trucks, who by the way never even stopped to check on hit..just drove off...He was picked up by Jason OKeefe who works with the city..his very caring and quick action saved my dogs life. He took him to Edgewater animal shelter who immediately posted for his owner...Terri, immediatly took him to Newmans Vet Clinic regardless of the cost and was willing to foot the bill for his treatment and care. Newmans Vet clinic started immediate treatment with the most professional and caring Vet and a Staff I have ever had the pleasure to meet...I cannot thank the shelter staff,and Terri enough for saving my babies life.. Thank you from the bottom of my heart forever...Yodi is on his way for a complete recover...thanks to all of you..!! With my sincere Thanks, Terri Canady and Yodi

fantastic attitude, welcome, caring and proactive about placing the dogs in homes. I found that they will take cases that otherwise may be turned away, or it appeared so. As a person who believes each dog deserves a second chance it was great. Dogs are not born bad. People make them that way and this place and people are great. Small but caring and most of all, committed.

They have a nice place and seem to take care of the animals. However they were very rude and it is very difficult to see the dogs available to adopt.
