We live outside Destin, so TCH wasnt ever our first choice for hospitals because of distance- but after events which I wont go into here, our family had an elderly loved one wind up first at their ER overnight and then in a room for a six-day stay. In the ER, the staff was attentive and helpful, and the attending MD was direct, but also empathetic and kind. Once admitted, we were quickly impressed with (and our stereotype of smaller hospitals from poor experiences shattered by) how all of the nurses, technicians, doctors... even cleaning and nutritional staff... all kept an eye on our loved one, supported her and worked to keep her spirits up, and did timely therapies, checks, meals, etc.- always with a smile and concern and a palpable desire to make the patient well again. Even just overhearing things in the hallways and sitting quietly in a corner watching staff interact in the cafeteria, I got the impression (and Im pretty accurate with them) that all of the care and concern was genuine, from professionals who are also (I guess mostly, at least- didnt meet all of them!) decent and caring human beings. Yeah, TCH is small. I *think* it has pretty much everything it needs to provide good critical care, however, and if youll forgive it for not having marble entry columns and fountains in an atrium and all that other garbage that many hospitals install to provide a sense of opulence (youre paying them for all of that one way or another, e.g. Sacred Heart in Miramar Beach/Santa Rosa, and it usually, in my experience, is to keep you calm after you get worse care from them), youll find a great, solid facility with some great professionals with some pretty awesome medical credentials (recruiting good docs to coastal Florida is probably easier than, oh, say, Alaska) who put patient welfare far, far above all else. Twin Cities Hospital should be a point of pride for the Niceville community. If I ever need medical transport in the area, Im certainly now going to ask to be taken to TCH before any other hospital that side of Pensacola if Im in a position to do so. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your outstanding work and caring.

I took my Grandfather who is an 88 year old WW2/Korean War vet who proudly served this country for 22 years in for back spasms so bad that he could not stand on his own let alone walk. While in Twin Cities care my Grandfather fell into a diabetic shock which in their infinite medical expertise failed to recognize. Twin Cities would have me believe that an 88 year old man who couldnt even stand on his own the night before was walking up and down the halls and being belligerent to the point where he needed to have his arm and wrist twisted so hard behind him that it is bruised from the elbow down. Of course he was upset and confused, he was having a diabetic episode!!! And this is how they discharged him, shaking, bruised, confused and traumatized and still unable to walk!!! What you have done to my Grandfather is considered assault as well as elder abuse and negligence. This breach of faith will not stand. I fully intend the plaster every military/veterans social network and website with the pictures I took of his arm and the treatment he received at this hospitals hands.

I got here with a throbbing tooth ache we sit in the lobby bout 15 mins before they called me to triage. They took my blood pressure n pulse n told me they didnt have a room n sent me back out to the lobby no wrist band no band that showed I have allergies. After calling 2 other patients back then they put me in a room n left me sitting on pain for 3 more hrs. Never seen a Dr only the med nurse for a antibiotic n to b sent home. I will not be going to Twin Cities at night. Because they do not care for the patients like the day Dr do. Ive never had a problem with this hospital til tonight. Soooo disappointed should have just went to okaloosa the treatment would have been a little bettet

This is one of the best hospitals. Ive read all of the negative comments & I think that most people only post reviews when they have had a negative experience. I want to break that cycle. Heres my positive review: Every time I have been to this hospital I have been treated with the utmost respect & care. The doctors and nurses I have had the pleasure in meeting have been more than courteous to me. I have always been diagnosed correctly, and if I have ever been in pain, they have helped relieve it within one hour of presenting to the emergency department. Thank you Twin cities hospital!

A family member came here having an anyphilactic reaction to medication. Had to have an epi shot and steroids in the ambulance with throat closing over and once she got here they were completely incompetent! Left her alone which is illegal and when she told the nurses her throat was closing over again they actually walked away and told her she would have to wait for the doctor. Will be reporting them first thing Monday morning. Life threatening emergency? Dont come here!

I was a patient at Twin Cities for 5 days. From Dr VandenBosch in the ER to Drs Blankenship and Derby and the nursing staff, I couldnt have asked for better care. I never ever had to wait when I rang my bell for the nurse. All involved were very caring and nice. My room was fantastic with a beautiful view out the window where i could enjoy the sunshine. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone who needs care. I couldnt have been brought to a better place.

Absolutely worst hospital Ive ever been to.Even worse than Crestviews. Everyone in the front office of the E.R. Department should be fired. Waited over 2 hours in the waiting room to be seen after the nurse told me it would only be 5 more minutes. All this while ladies in the front office joked around and laughed amongst each other. If you have an emergency, Id recommend going elsewhere unless you feel like waiting all day to be seen.

Thank you so much for the awesome care provided to my 8 year old son last night! The primary care physician and all staff members on duty we met were so nice, quick and efficient. They made me feel like they were truly there to take care of us, not simply just to perform a job. We were in and out in less than an hour, and I left knowing my son was going to be ok. 10 out of 10 stars! Thanks again!

I would recommend going to any other area hospital for emergency services or for that matter any services where a doctor or pa will need to be seen. Worst care I ever received and when the insurance company stated the provider was not in their system I was then told all doctors and physician assistants are not covered under twin cities but under another company called mcare.

Ive grown up in niceville and have always come to twin cities. Just like EVERYWHERE else you go, there are always some really rude people. Its inevitable. However since Ive been in the ICU for the past 3 days going on 4, I have been beyond taken care of. Everyone is very kind and they all work so hard. I had Monica as my nurse and she made me feel as if I was her own child.
