On March 18th, 2014 I was in to have an ultra-sound guided biopsy. After the procedure they left me to get dressed which they shouldnt have done, because I felt light headed, very weak & ended up falling into the metal bed which put a huge bump on my head right above my left temple, also something else cut the top of my head as well. I didnt realize I was bleeding until later. The nurse ran in because she heard the hit, then another nurse got me some crackers & a Pepsi. But my concern is there was no accident report wrote up or X-rays to make sure I was completely ok. The nurse didnt even look at my head. I couldnt even open my mouth completely up because it hurt my jaw too much, so chewing or yawning was torture. Next day woke up & that whole side of my head was swollen, I couldnt even touch my hair on that side of my head because of the pain. Couldnt fix my hair for three days. The pain lasted way over a week & even had a burning sensation around that area as well. I still have a small bump & some tenderness in that area. I most definitely had to have had a concussion from the way I felt. But even though the nurse & doctor were really nice, still think I should have been checked out after the fall. I just wanted you all to know about it. I about had another fall after I rec the bill for the procedure which was over $6,000 but praying my insurance pays for most of it. But that is still ridiculous.

The medical center and surrounding campus is very beautiful. My experiences have not been the same. The day I went there for a c-section I was taken to the surgery area and there was one person that made me feel comfortable and was nice. The doors to surgery kept opening and closing and I was lacking bottoms to cover my lower half. I remember a guy standing in the door way while I was laying on the table (with no bottoms on) looking around, talk about embarrassing and creepy. Not long ago I needed to contact one of the doctors offices in the medical center I called a few days after my test I called during business hours when they were open it went to the answering machine I left a message. No one got back to me. I called again the next week the same thing happened I left a message. I had someone else to call and they could not get through either. I went to the office and they were open. I assumed that the receptionist at the desk was not taking phone calls and sending everyone to the answering machine. I refuse to go back there for any medical issues. I would rather travel else where to get treated. Terrible.

This is the worst hospital ever went in because Im a diabetic and had infected toe, while there they made me wait in the waiting room full of people coughing and sick for 3 hours then took me to a raz room where they said it was just a blister, yeah the blister appeared after my toe swelled from the infection a nurse literally threw a zip lock bag of wraps at me and they discharged me with no antibiotics they didnt even wrap it themselves went to greenview where they rushed me right back lanced wrapped and gave antibiotics. Another time we went to Medical Center of pretenders my wife was five months pregnant and started bleeding they left us in the waiting room for 4 hours then called her back to triage for a 2nd time because they neglected to get all the information the first time finally they took her up to the baby floor where they semi know what they are doing and to top it off everyone there you encounter from check in to triage to nurses to doctors and every other staff in between is rude as hell anytime Im referred to going there I just go home instead I feel my chances are better

This place has almost killed my grandfather twice. The first time he came in with a ruptured intestine that went undiagnosed for two days while the absentee doctor kept ordering him to drink copious amounts of more laxative drink. Thankfully we finally insisted that something was wrong and he had surgery and survived. This time, after suffering a seizure but having a good prognosis for recovery, he suddenly developed dementia and extreme lethargy. A nurse had brought it to the doctors attention that he needed testing for a urinary tract infection early on when he was still doing well. They treated with antibiotics but did not follow up to make sure it was cured as he was slipping further away. They just wanted to ship him off to a nursing home like that. Thankfully we managed to get him into "rehab" in another small hospital but Im afraid this uti has caused permanent dementia. Even advocating as hard as I could, I could not prevent this. I fear for anyone coming here, especially without a strong family advocate.

Took the wife who was in severe abdominal pain and throwing up bile, unable to speak and light headed. Extremely rude to me when I tried to answer questions regarding her condition (she couldnt speak, mind) and glared at me. We then waited for TWO HOURS while they let patients who came in after us go back, two of which got to leave in the time we were waiting. Apparently they have an imaginary importance list based on your symptom and pain, and if youre barely sick you could be there all night. Didnt try to even get us a bed in the back so my wife wasnt sitting in pain in an uncomfortable as hell chair. Let people who were incredibly capable of walking and talking and carrying on. Refuses to calm their waiting room, had about 5-7 people loud as hell and giving us massive headaches, some of them the nurses as well. In comparison we went to Greenview and were seen in minutes with a full admittance room with pure professionalism and they allowed me to talk for my wife. Will not be going back, ever.

Most of the experiences I have had at The Medical Center, concerning my health have been very good. The 2 experiences at the ER have been below average. I have encountered rude nurses and one doctor who ordered an MRI and left the hospital without reading the results. I had the MRI and was back in my room around 9...9:30 I believe. Time went by and at 12:30 am I called the front desk and asked if they had forgotten me. They had forgotten me. As I was crutching across the parking lot in pain I was summoned back and a very kind Dr. Spurlin took me to a room and explained how many ligaments were torn in my knee. The first doctor I saw just wanted to give me pain meds and have her nurse , who was extremely rude, give me the prescription and explain RICE to me. I understand how difficult and frustrating must be to work in the ER. I also understand that when people are in pain a little compassion must be shown. I dont appreciate being shouted at by a nurse who was probably half my age.

My mother was admitted on a Thursday for surgery. I tried calling my mom on her cell phone and direct to the room. I first brushed it off as her needing rest and not answering. Four days later when I finally get through to a nurse they connect me no problem. When I finally speak with my mom I find out that they took her purse to be put in a secure area and didnt return it to her until four days after her surgery. Someone, not sure of their position, but he was rude to her when she kept asking for it. As far as her room phone... it was in a cabinet and not even plugged in. No one on the staff even mentions this when they finally connect me. This is Monday when I finally speak to my mother. I live in another state and hate that this is how my mothers been treated. Very disappointed!
