I have never posted a review online before but I feel my experience warents it. First, let me say that this location is very convenient for me and I do feel that the nurses and doctors are friendly and I do like the ability to make appointments at this facility. I recently moved to the Oviedo and do not have a regular doctor yet. I have been to this facility for two different issues over the past few months. The first was terrible wrist pain and the current issue is a very bad ear infection. The first time I visited the doctor with wrist pain he looked me over and with out taking an X-ray decided to "go with his gut" and prescribed me medication for gout which was supposed to make it better in a couple days. The issue did not get better and I spent over a month going to several specialists who each took X-rays as the first course of action. The current issue I have is a terrible ear infection. I first saw the doctor on Wednesday and told him I had blood coming out my ear and pain. He kind of chuckled and said most people confuse wax for blood and patted me on the back like I was not very smart. Then surprise there was blood in my ear. He prescribed an antibiotic and something mild for the pain. I have had several ear infections before and I am used to it taking 2-3 days before it improves so I was content to wait. Friday morning I got up and my ear was twice as bad. I called and asked if I might speak to the doctor or nurse to see if I should come in or if they could just adjust the antibiotic as this one did not seem like it was working well. They said they needed to see me so I caughed up another $50 for a visit and went in. The doctor did express concern and checked my ear out properly and did offer to change my medication but but suggested that we continue down the same course of action as it usually takes 3-5 days for the antibiotics to really kick in. I felt that he is the doctor and shurley knows best so I followed his guidance. It is now 5 days later and I now have a fever and my ear is no better. I called the office and got an appointment and asked if there was any way to waive the $50 fee since I have spent $150 on office visits with out any resolution to my issues. The person I spoke to was pushy and did not even consider what I was asking, talking over me to stop me from proceeding asking more questions as to why they could not waive the fee. I was told that each time I came back that the doctor might have to adjust his treatment as the illness progresses and that is why I need to pay each time. Question: if I go to the tire shop to get my tire patched when it has a leak and I have to come back a second time to get it patched again and a third time does that not mean they dont know what they are doing and I should go somewhere else? It is a shame as everyone is very friendly ( except that one office person) and this is a very convinent location but I do not think I can continue to use this office as I really do not feel confident that they are competent.

I visited this Centra Care because my eye was very swollen, pink tinted, very uncomfortable feeling and crusty in the morning. I had an eye exam at this location. Dye was put in my eye and a special light was used to scan for foreign objects. I was diagnosed with conjunctivitis (pink eye), not a foreign object, not allergies. I was prescribed a bottle of eye drops. The exam and the drops cost close to $200. It was a pretty severe case and after using the drops for two weeks the eye drops are clearly diminishing the severity of the problem, but theyre not entirely healing my eye. Im still waking up with a little crust, my eye is still swollen and at times has a pink-ish hue. I was told at the time of my first appointment that the strength of the prescription drops I was being given may not fully resolve my problem, but not to worry, they can prescribe stronger drops. I called back two weeks later and was told that the doctor I saw the day of my visit would be in the following day and to call back then and hed give me the stronger prescription without charging me another $160 for an office visit. I did as instructed and was told that I did indeed need to come back into the office for another exam. I was shocked. This whole time Ive been told that these drops may not be strong enough, dont worry if theyre not well give you the stronger drops, but we want to start off with these because of drug resistance, we wont charge you for another expensive eye exam. I feel lied to and frankly, not cared for at all. I feel like the Centra Care is clearly more interested in being paid as much as they can and not actually caring about the patient. Im willing to take time out of my workday to go back to be re-checked, Im even willing to pay a reduced follow-up office visit, but to pay full-price twice because they were unwilling to give me the prescription they were pretty sure I needed in the first place... I feel very taken advantage of and the worst part is after $200 and two weeks worth of treatment, Im not healed. My eye is still infected and now I have to start from square one to find someone to treat it. Thanks Centra Care for wasting my time and money. Eyes are indeed delicate things and should be taken care of properly, I entirely agree. Hopefully, the next health care provider I visit will practice that sentiment instead of using it as a way to garner additional payment. Remember that first, do no harm thing? Id certainly recommend you go someplace else if youre not interested in being over charged and made to feel unimportant as a living human who needs assistance to be healed.

The only reason Im giving this place a star is because of its nurses and because they have HGTV playing in the lobby while youre waiting for 2 HOURS to be seen. After waiting for 2 hours to be seen, the doctor that saw me, literally saw me for 5 minutes. He not only didnt check me thoroughly but he laughed at me when I told him my symptoms. He asked if anyone in the house had Allergies or Asthma and I told him I did. I found it strange that he asked it in a general term because my husband and son were sitting there like he was talking to all of us instead of addressing me -the patient. I had to ask him if I had the flu because he didnt offer up a diagnosis, he said no. The nurse that came in afterward to give me the prescription from the doctor was the one that gave me the diagnosis. The nurse took more time with me than the doctor did and explained things thoroughly! After being there Saturday and placed on antibiotics for an Upper Respiratory Infection, it is now Tuesday and being that I was not feeling better I went to visit my primary. My primary immediately heard that my asthma has become chronic and gave me a shot of Prednisone and placed me on a Nebulizer immediately. Had the doctor taken his time to check me thoroughly, he would have known that I didnt have an Upper Respiratory Infection but that my Asthma had become chronic which I told him I was Asthmatic when he asked. I dont understand why I waited 2 hours to be seen for 5 minutes. I dont understand why the doctor didnt take sufficient time with me if he took time with other patients being that I had to wait so long to be seen. I dont understand why I was laughed at, not looked at in the face, and not addressed with a diagnosis. It is truly sad that medical care has become a production line at the risk of patient care.
