My opinion of Smile Line and Dr. Shaike is excellent. My previous dentist took literally 6-7 months to get appointment, disorganized, and never would call you back (not to mention how long I would have to sit in the waiting room). I finally had enough after finding billing discrepancies and decided to switch to Smileline (I know how dental insurance works and how long it takes to switch, hassles, etc... which is the reason I waited so long to change dentist) Anyways.. Smileline was able to schedule appointments quickly and when I arrived, I only waited a few minutes b/f they got to work. Dr. Shaike did a great job and I could see that he was taking extra time to make sure his work was done correctly (I like having a perfectionist do work for me). I dont have a ton of extra money (which is why I pay for dental insurance), and Smileline discussed the different options and the amount of co-pays required by my insurance. I was hesitant to trust them after my experience with my last dentist, so I checked with my dental insurance company on the charges (not fun dealing with insurance companies, but eventually I verified everything from Smileline as 100% accurate). The dental assistants and staff are excellent. I highly recommend this dentist.

Doesnt it seems a bit fishy that most of the 5 star reviews on here ONLY reviewed SmileLine? I went to Smile Line because I recently moved to Tallahassee and they were the only ones besides Coast Dental accepting new patients and my lousy State Insurance Plan (Select 15). I will certainly be changing insurance plans at open enrollment.... After jumping through the hoops of selecting Smile Line as my primary care provider with my insurance plan, I went in for an x-ray. Dr. Shaike took a look at my x-rays and mouth and though everything looked good said I needed 3 fillings for around $450. None of which I needed at my checkup with my old dentist a year ago. They were all very tiny and the dentist had to actually point to them on the X-Ray for me to notice them. When going in for a cleaning, I was billed $40 on top of the usual cleaning for oral irrigation. I assume this is just a way for them to make up for my lousy insurance and not something that was necessary as 1.) Insurance doesnt cover it so it was entirely out of pocket and 2.) Ive never had that procedure performed on me in my life. Only reason for 2 stars was because my hygienist was a nice guy. TLDR; This place cares far more about the money than your dental health. Stay away.

My initial visit was horrible. Went after many years of not being able to go to a dentist due to no insurance, no money. Doctor was very rude and made a flippant comment as to why I couldnt afford $100 to go to a dentist. I told him he obviously never had to worry how to feed his kid or put gas in his car as a single parent. Left there feeling bad and they never gave me the prescription for the mouthwash they said I needed to use for my next visit and it was never called in. Fast forward two weeks later and I still do not feel comfortable with them so I called 2 days ahead of time to cancel my appointment. I was left on hold for 22 minutes!! A woman named Chelsea answers the phone and gets an attitude. She doesnt answer "Hello this is Chelsea how may I help you?" I get "Chelsea". Thats it! I say Im not Chelsea she goes "I know that. What do you need?" I said "Well after 22 minutes..." and she cuts me off. Very unprofessional and Im so glad I cancelled with them. I can see why they have so many bad reviews. They all need attitude adjustments in there.

So I went back today for my first real work. Root canal is about as bad as it gets. It was so simple and easy! Dr Shaike is so mild mannered and calm! His direction is simple and clear. Open, dont close. It took longer than anticipated, but was done right! My temp crown is wonderful! I get whitened before the real one gets ordered. Josh assisted today. I laughed too much to be stressed. I spent all afternoon at the office between a comp exam and a root canal/crown. Happy doesnt start to describe me! I am so very grateful to have a Dentist and staff I trust to do this much needed work! I can smile again!!! I am very impressed with this office! Lisa was excellent at getting me in quickly, Sylvia handled me with kids gloves and was extremely patient, and Dr Shaike was wonderful! He didnt tell me what I wanted to hear, but I respect him for being honest and professional. He has excellent bedside manner! Very soft and gentle. Thanks to Smileline Dental, I can fearlessly get some much needed dental work done!

I dont even know where to begin with the terrible customer service they have employed here. I tried scheduling an appointment twice with this office and spoke with "Barb" who was extremely rude and unwilling to help at all. I asked what their open availability was for March and she kept telling me she could not tell me without first notifying my insurance that I would be using their office. I tried reiterating that I did not need to schedule an appointment without knowing if there was any openings at all for March and after the second call attempt a few days later, she stated she could not schedule an appointment but could tell me the availability... Thank you Barb, that is the only thing I was looking for in the first place. To which her response was "Whatever" and then begrudgingly proceeded to tell me of their availability. How can you expect to run a business with such terrible customer service before even using their services? I will never use this office simply because of this.

Though every dental office has pros and cons, my overall opinion of Smile Line and Dr. Baig is very positive. This place blows Coast Dental out of the water in my opinion. The office is clean and they use more updated technology (like their xray machine) than other offices Ive been to. They are very good at letting you know what you need to get done and how much it is going to cost you out of pocket up front. Dr. Baig is a good dentist and he focuses more on the procedures than becoming besties with his patients. The dental assistants are fantastic! Very friendly, sociable, and genuine! The ladies at the front desk can be a bit moody every once in a while (especially afternoons) but its never at the level that would cause me to become upset. I know they deal with rude people and insurance companies all day long are just probably just ready to go home. I would highly recommend this office if youre looking for a dentist!

This review may be premature, because I never actually went in, however their policy accepting new patients has completely deterred me from even wanting to come in. I called explaining I had a dental emergency and I have insurance, but I had not used it. They told me that they couldnt schedule me unless I had called my insurance and made them my primary. Okay. I did that. My insurance said theyd fax the information over immediately and I should be good. So, I called back. They said they I have to be on some roster that gets updated at the first of every month -- which means I cant get in until after the first of next month. Alright. I asked if I could schedule an appointment after the first of next month. Nope. Nope. Nope. Had to be on the roster first. Seriously. I want to give you my money (and insurance money) for you to fix my tooth. This is not rocket science.
