I walked in off the street to see if I could make an appt for a second opinion on a crown for an upper molar on a Fri. I was able to get an appt the following Mon. The staff was efficient and respectful. The corporate office was having a problem with my discount with Careington and the receptionist said she would call Monday morn and give me a call that morn. That didnt happen. I called at 12:30 while I was at lunch and apparently the receptionist was too but a guy answered and was going to call corporate right then but I had to get back inside as the restaurant was too noisy to hear him. I asked him to call me back. When I arrived early for my 2:00 appt the receptionist couldnt figure out who I spoke with and said it must have been someone at the call center. Anyways, she proceeded to contact corporate and get the discount to generate on my account so a treatment plan with the Careington discount was included. The result of one of Aspens dentist concluded that he agreed with the other dentist I had previously seen and the cost was only $10 difference. I decided I would return to the other office to have the procedure done as I had already scheduled a cleaning with them. The dentist who saw me at Aspen was a little hard for me to understand with his accent that also played a part in my decision. I had tried to get an appt with Aspen several months ago for emergency services to recement a cap which fell off from when I saw a dentist in Wilmington NC. They were booked several months out and I contacted another dentist and couldnt get in to see them until a few days before I was going to return to NC for a 2 wk visit so I just went back to the dentist I had there. They worked me in quickly. One thing about the NC dentist was that he financed his patients which was very helpful as I dont have dental ins and I could pay off my bill in $50 increments. I hadnt asked if Aspen had such plan but had asked the other dentist and he wasnt even interested in finding out about that program even though I thought it would be a draw to increase his business and offer a needed service to his patients. If after reading this you want to find out abt the special financing the NC dentist uses, I can put you in contact with him. His practice is expanding quickly and I believe it is in part because he is the only one in the Wilmington area that offers that kind of financing for his patients. I thank Aspen for providing a friendly, efficient, and timely second opinion for me.

I had two totally different experiences. First I met with the dentist Dr. G and that was a very positive. I am having some problems with my new upper plate and the Dr. agreed to correct the problem without any additional charge. Secondly I wanted to have my teeth cleaned. This was not positive at all. I have been going to the dentist, many over the years, and I have always had my teeth cleaned at least three and sometimes four times a year. At this point I only have a few teeth remaining on my lower gums. My insurance covers two visits a year. I requested three and asked how much it would be for the third. The hygienist asked me a few questions about my history and I told her. After that I was told that I needed periodontal cleaning. Without thinking I said OK. Then she informed me that I would have to pay additional for periodontal cleaning. I was upset and spoke to the office manger informing her that I had dental insurance and only a few teeth. I found out that the office would receive over $75.00 from my insurance company and me for a visit that took 3 minutes. It was the poorest cleaning that I ever had and I have had many. I was very upset about this and told the office manager. I told her in the future I only wanted the normal cleaning that my insurance would cover. I was told that this was not possible because I needed periodontal cleaning. This is not right and I hope that this discussion will cause some changes in this offices business plan. The hygienist can recommend anything, but I have the right to decide what I pay for.

I thought Aspen Dental was giving away great gifts, but after relooking my bill, I see they actually charged me $130 for an electric tooth brush that Im not going to use. Thats definitely not a gift. Even though I said to finish my cleaning while I was actually in there for a cleaning, they insisted on telling me to return for the polishing process. Since every visit cost me a $15 Copay, Aspen Dental is taking me with an unnecessary $15. And, already charged me on this bill! I posted a excellent review for Ms. Jennifer two days ago. Who deleted my review? Why did you delete it? So, now you choosing which reviews to post? I went in there for a crown replacement. I have already spent $321, but no crown in sight because I havent got pass a simple cleaning. If you delete this review, I will report you. Henery L. Ruffin

I had the worst experience here! My first appt was fine got my xrays and exam. Then they quoted me for almost $2000 to get two wisdom teeth pulled and a crown on my front tooth. I was told that I had to pay 60% to make an appointment. So i just paid the amount in full. Then when i went back to have the work done they did less than what i was quoted for so they owed me almost 500 back. I was told that I would be refunded and it would take 7 to 10 business days for it to process. Over a month later I still hadnt been refunded and called asking to speak with the manager and they wouldnt let me talk to her and i got attitude from whoever i was talking to at the front desk. Ended up having to call the customer complaints line to be refunded. Ill never go back to this place again!

I had to abscessed teeth but I had to go to an emergency dentist because this office was not open yet. I am patient at this office and I called them today to ask them for an antibiotic because the emergency dentist didnt give me anything and my face is so swollen. I have Menieres disease which means that I have severe vertigo and I cannot drive. I was told that the office closes at 1 p.m. and that I needed to go to another dentist office. I told them Im not asking for pain medicine I just want a simple antibiotic. I have spent a ton of money at this office but I will never return. I currently have four stitches in my mouth so I guess I will spend more money and go to the emergency room for a simple antibiotic that my dentist could have called in for me.

After reading such poaitive post I decided to walk in & try to schedule an appointment. I was amazed they had a cancelation & were able to see me within 30 minutes. The staff was incredible. I really appreciated that they had my insurance info ready with all the pricing for each thing I will need done when I was ready to leave. No questionable charges later. They worked with my schedule to get me back in the next day to do some repairs. The best feature I was informed about is that I can go to any Aspen Dental in the country & they can look up my past info. A plus since we travel with work. They are not everywhere but I see they have enough locations that I will be able to plan future checkups & cleanings.
