I have worked with parents whose children struggle for over 35 years in a private, Christian school setting and then as a help for homeschool families. I have worked with many educational psychologists who dont know how to interact with children or parents, who cant do anything beyond the same testing with every single child no matter how differently they present, who write reports that cant be understood and definitely cant be a tool or map for helping parents and teachers help their children or students. When I found Dr. Eppes in the 90s I knew I had found just what was needed. She is THE BEST OBSERVER OF CHILDREN I have ever known and I am pretty good myself. However, I have never seen anyone like her who can "know" a child and how they function so quickly and so completely. She has become my "go to" recommendation because anyone else is a waste of your childs time and energy and your money. When it comes time to reveal what she has learned about your child, get ready to be amazed at how well she has pegged your child! I have sat in over 50 of those hour long appointments with parents and seen the look on their faces as they realized their thoughts had been right about their child or she acknowledged as fact something they thought might be, or seen tears when she told them how bright their child was, but nobody but they thought so until she proved it with her evaluation. Parents leave overwhelmed with information, but also with a map for what needs to happen with their child. Dr. Eppes ideas for therapies and accommodations are realistic and doable if there is a desire on the part of the parents and teacher(s). She lives in the real world and is about lovingly helping your child find their potential with a little help from Mom and Dad and teachers. I know these things because I first knew Dr. Eppes as a fellow educational professional. However, Ive also sat in two of those review appointments for my own children and have been amazed at how well she "got" my children and saw their struggles. Even better, she gave me hope and a map for helping them reach their potential. I am so grateful for Dr. Eppes and her talents and skills in evaluation when I see my adult children thriving today!

We contacted Dr. Wanda Eppes office on a recommendation from a close friend. Lewis the office manager was very thorough and took time to listen to my story and concerns for my daughter and was very understanding. He called me as soon as an opening came up with Dr. Eppes over the holiday break and we moved quickly to get the questionnaires and paperwork completed before the first day of testing/evaluation. Dr. Eppes spent a lot of time with my daughter and I, reviewing her school work and listening to her history. The testing portion was long but again, very thorough and my daughter had no complaints. We received a full report and sat with Dr. Eppes about 2 weeks after the testing to review the information in the report. The test and evaluation completely verified everything that we were concerned about and the 504 plan recommendation was given to the counselor at my daughters school for her files and I have been informed that this information will help with getting the 504 plan approved by OCPS. I cannot thank Dr. Eppes enough for her patience and understanding through this process and I would whole-hardheartedly recommend her and her office to anyone looking to have their child evaluated/tested. We plan to have my daughter come back to the office for educational therapy sessions over the summer.

When I took my son to see Dr Epps I was 100% satisfied with my experience. She was very thorough and explained everything in detail to me. She listened to my concerns and walked me though the process. I couldnt recommend anyone better!
