Weve been taking our pets to Golden Isles Animal Hospital since before our all-time favorite vet, Dr. Hornbuckle, took over the practice, and weve continued to take our pets to him ever since. I call him my "Bianca-Whisperer" because he was the only one who could calm my arthritic old German Shepherd mix enough to be able to draw blood from her, and he was able to do it without hurting her. He has taken care of our pets, and us, through illness, death, and emergencies in a way that always made the situation easier to deal with. His staff, most of whom have been there the whole time, have made us smile and laugh, and have comforted us in our grief. We are, and always will be, grateful to all of them. And hes a really good vet, too !!!

Very displeased, my cat had broken her leg and we took her here to have it mended and had a cast put on for a month or two. A few weeks after the cast was removed, she broke the same leg in the same spot(bad quality of surgery)... then when we take her in to see if they can fix it again, the doctor says the leg must be amputated and that hed "discount the procedure". The fact that the doctor didnt preform correct surgery the first time and that they were going to charge me for an amputation after a failed surgery upset me. So i did some research and found that cats bones(like most living things) will try to mend themselves. So, end of story i still have a 4-legged cat and her once broken leg has been fine for over a year now.

We were camping on the coast with our dog, nine hours from home, when I had to make an unscheduled visit to the ER. We had no where to leave our pup, so we called Golden Isles. We explained the situation and they immediately said we could bring him over. They gave us the daily sitting rate, and when our ER visit lasted only a few hours and we were able to pick him up early, they discounted the rate and only charged us half. They were compassionate, understanding, and there for us in our moment of crisis. I highly recommend! ps - our pup is not the friendliest guy in the world, but these folks didnt mind at all.

You could not ask for a better animal hospital and staff. Everyone there is fantastic. I dont give it a second thought when leaving either of my labs there. I know they are in the best hands and they are treated with the tender loving care. That shows from the time you walk in the front door. Both of my dogs absolute love going the GIAH. My boys literally drag me in the front door they are so excited to be there. Have been using this vet for over 30 years way before Dr. Hornbuckle took over the establishment. Would never consider going any where else. Thank you Drs and staff for all you do.

We have a chocolate Lab that boards here. When we leave him he cant wait to leave us. We expected him to be overjoyed when we came after hm. Much to our chagrin he acted like he could care less whether we came after him or not. To me that indicates that he is well cared for. We also have an eighteen year old cat that stays here. You know how cats are. Who knows if she is happy or not. Guess I should have said that we also use Dr. Hornbuckle for their yearly checkups and anytime else that they need his services. We have been pleased with their services.

We have used Golden Isles Animal Hospital for years. We have had them care for our dogs and cats. They are very accommodating and will do whatever it takes to ensure your pet gets the best possible care. We have had several emergencys with our pets, one of which was an alligator trying to eat our little dog. The dog was almost gone when we arrived and after several days, recuperated. Had it not been for Jamie and his staff, the dog would not be here today. Very highly recommend their services.

I have been going there forever!! And I will continue to! The doctors are knowledgeable and kind to the animals. I had one of my labs had a tumor on his left front leg. The vets here were not comfortable removing it and refered me to another vet. I like the fact that if you are not comfortable with something, say so. Do not mess up my pet. I am very grateful for that. I will continue going as long as they are there. They are the best!!

Our trips have been quick, informative, affordable and we are confident in the vets there. One big help is the scale in the waiting room. The superb advice coupled with the fact is they wont push anything you dont need. In addition they have anti flea products that really work....but Im not telling you what as you HAVE to go see them. Truly the best in Brunswick!!!

I have never been treated so well, I am not even the patient. You can tell that they all love what they do and love their patients! The care and love that has been given to both of my dogs has been amazing. Wonderful staff who care and love the animals they see. I started boarding them there when I visited St. Simons and then when I moved here there was no question what vet I would take them to. Dr. Hornbuckle really cares about their health and you can see how much he loves animals.

We have been using GIAH since we rescued Mack from the shelter in Douglas, GA five years ago. Dr. Hornbuckle and his staff are the best around. Mack is a Maltese and quite a character. We have used Golden Isles Animal Hospital for well animal care for the last ten years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We have also used their boarding service, and we know our dogs have always been well cared for, and that we dont have to worry when they are kenneled at what we call "the yellow house" :-)
