Today my mom decided to put her 16 year old dog down after many weeks of contemplation and sadness. We saw the older Vet doctor, he was despicable and this was the worst experience ever! He didnt reassure us that we were doing the right thing, didnt explain what he was doing or when. Just told the tech to put her on table and then just gave her a shot. He had no expression or compassion for us, and just left the room immediately after giving the shot. Instead of making us feel comforted that we were doing the right thing and that our family dogs of 16 years would be at peace, he suggested estrogen for her peeing problem. I used to take my dogs to this vet, the younger doctor is nice and has good people skills. I stopped taking my dogs here because the older one was not a nice person, and my dog died after taking her in several times in one week after he pumped her with estrogen. Im not saying he killed my dog, but he did not give me a good feeling. Well today confirmed that for me. He should retire if you cant have compassion and respect for people. This was a very hard day for my mother especially, and he made it so much worse. I felt sick leaving there because of him...disgusting!

A situation arose where I needed to board my cat, Bella. She had never been to this place before and they did not know her, but they accommodated her for what turned into a 10 day visit. I have a lot of anxiety and Bella is my service animal, for all intents and purposes. The facility, upon arrival, was clean spacious and welcoming for animals. The boarding area was large and comfortable for Bella. She settled in quickly. The only thing better than all of this was the compassion and empathy shown by all staff interacted with. At first the boarding was only for a few days, every time it needed to be extended, there were no issues. Everyone went out of their way to make sure my cat and myself felt cared for. They followed my feeding suggestions and asked very good questions about her personality. They even bathed her before pick up. We needed to pick her up on a day they are usually closed but yet again our request was responded to and accommodations were made. I cannot imagine a better place to board your cat or dog. I just wanted to say thank you to Lynda for helping us load her into the carrier before heading out! If the need arises, I will be giving my business to this establishment.

This office is dirty and they dont keep appointments. I took my cat there for a shot and it took after waiting for 40 minutes after my appointment I finally said I had to leave because my cat was getting too stressed out waiting for so long. Finally after I said that they said a tech good give my cat his shot. They took us into the exam room where we were actually graced with the doctors presence. 2 techs and the dr came at my already stressed out cat all at once and scared him. Because he was so scared he was reluctant to let the dr touch him and so the dr was very rough with him calling him an "angry cat". My cat is very friendly and playful with everyone he meets. This office made him wait too long and then was way too rough with him. On the way home he had a panic attack in the car which looked like a siezure. Now to top it all off, he now is sneezing a lot, which he must have picked up off the dirty floor at this vets office. I called the dr to address this and he hung up on me.

Yesterday my husband and I had to experience the worst day in any animal owners life. Due to unfortunate circumstances regarding the health of my beloved cat we made the decision to not prolong her suffering any longer. Although this is a day we all dread I couldnt have asked for more from Dr. Choset and Katie. The way Dr. Choset followed up about My Mitzis prognosis and the care and concern he conveyed in every phone call was truly touching. As I held my Mitzi for the last time I knew the wonderful care she had received prior to this dreaded moment was the best. I am convinced we did everything we could and to the very end Mitzi was treated with love and died with dignity and grace. I trust Silver Star animal hospital with my pets needs. I still have 4 cats at home who I hope live a very long life and with the help of Dr Choset and his staff I am confident I will always get 5 star care. I assure you your pets will as well.

I have been seeing Dr.s Wise and Jones for more years than I care to say.Since the day they opened their office on Silver Star Rd. NEVER, on any occassion has a single tech been rude or discourtious in any way. I have been there more times than probably any other client and I have never seen anyone in there be treated anyway other than respectfully. First and formost the Dr.s would not allow it. My dogs are as comfortable there as they are at home. The ladies get kisses from my big boy and they treat both my pets and all the ones before them as if they are their own. Dr. Jones is a little rough around the edges, he is old school ad tells it like it is.... take it for what he is trying to tell you. Dr Wise is the gentle giant... if they offend you in any way its just because they care about your pets wefare Go Here........ they are the best Molly and Gumby

I switched to this veterinary practice a couple of years ago specifically for the cat grooming services. Now I’m really grateful to Dr. Wise for saving the cat’s life. All the necessary tests were done right in the office. The cat went from death’s door to thriving and enjoying a wonderful life. With Dr. Jones coaching the cat has lost several pounds and I don’t have to dread giving him insulin shots. I passed on Dr. Jones’ advice regarding dry kibble to several friends and their overweight dogs have lost as much as 20 pounds! Within a few months! All the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I especially like the follow-up calls they make to check on the condition of the animal after treatment. I cant say enough about the expertise available in this veterinary practice. I learn something every time I visit and am confident that my pets are receiving excellent care.

I just recently moved back to Orlando from a small town where I had a great vet there for my Labrador. So the expectations were set high when it came to finding a new Vet. I saw that the Silver Star Animal Hospital was offering a free exam for new patients which caught my attention but did not exactly bring me in. I was still a little skeptical. So I hooped online and did some research via Google and was surprised that all of the reviews were positive. Which made me at least want to give them a shot. So I came in, told the staff my situation and they were all very pleasant. The Doctor was very knowledgeable about all of my concerns and everyone had a smile on which is very important. Great experience in my opinion and Im happy to saw that I found a great Vet for my family member.
