One of the only downsides to this was that my health insurance was not going to cover my wisdom teeth removal, only dental was taken so a pretty substantial amount was required to be paid out of pocket. Getting that out of the way, my consultation for my surgery was able to be made day of as far as getting my referral from my dentist to see Dr. Carey. Later that day, I showed up for my consult and waited about 10 minutes to see him. The consultation was brief and straightforward, he seemed confident that it would be a typical and simple extraction and the appointment was able to be made about a week away. On the day of my extraction, I was seen at my appointment time. The nursing staff was friendly and answered my questions. I was put under and woke up to what felt like a second later completely finished. By the next day i was back to eating solid foods, Dr. Carey called to check up on how i was doing and I thanked him for the great job he did on my surgery. 3 Days after I am sitting here without being in pain with a slightly swollen mouth but fine otherwise. I recommend him as an oral surgeon to anyone, just make sure your insurance covers more than mine did.

My daughter had her wisdom teeth removed. The oral surgeon was wonderful. The follow up care was awful. My daughter complained of pain on a Friday, 2 days post surgery. Her lower stitches had come undone on one side and I could see her jaw bone. I called for an appt and was told very condescendingly she was fine, pain at this stage is normal, a fever is normal, etc. She was not given antibiotics ahead of time. Shes on a double dose of medication for hormone issues, which was not taken into consideration regarding her ability to heal well. She had to very assertively request the follow up appointment she did finally receive. This experience could not have been more frustrating.

If I could give 10 stars, I would gladly do so.....and more! Dr. Carey is the BEST Ive ever seen. And Im old enough that Ive seen a few! Ive had several procedures done with Dr. Carey and his staff and I have yet to experience even a hint of pain! I had to be sedated and every time that I woke up, I literally did not believe that my procedure had been performed! I will never go to any other Oral Surgeon and I would recommend that if you have a need for an Oral Surgeon, go to Dr. Carey!

From the greeting we recieved when we walked into the office, to Dr. Carey and his wonderful assistant. Dr. Carey was very professional and courteous and thoroughly explained all details of the surgery in an easy to understand and respectful manner. The procedure was uncomplicated and her recovery was quick. Thank you Dr. Carey!

I had a bad bike accident and had to have two implants completed and while I was at it had my wisdom teeth extracted. I was nervous to say the least, however after visiting the office, talking with Dr. Carey and working with his staff my nerves were eased and the procedure went great. I was totally impressed with how professional, courteous and helpful the staff was. I would recommend North Metro to anyone that asks!
