JustMe MyOpinion
MONICA BOLDS:I would NOT recommend Dr. Roberts family dentist. In my experience in years of customer service and dealing with the public in a faucet of affairs I must have missed the part where I do what I feel and not what is right for the customer! I went to Dr. Roberts for veneers after a being referred to his practice. Initially when my teeth were prepared for the veneers I thought it was odd that I didn’t get temps. I asked Dr. Roberts why didn’t I need the temps. He told me that because my teeth were in good condition they were not needed because he did minimum shaving of my natural teeth. My concerns were how the finished product would look if my original teeth were just about the same size as before. He assured me that they would look great and it would not be a problem. When my veneers returned and were attached, they looked great from the distance. I voiced my concerns about the new drastic overbite. The Dr. and his assistant told me that it looked fine. Dr. Roberts told me to take a minute and if I needed him to make changes or alter them to come back as it was late in the evening when we finished. So I left feeling uneasy about the feel inwards of my new look. I now had a terrible overbite that was not there before, now I could feel my teeth in my mouth underneath my lips with no effort and one that was particularly longer than the rest. After over a week not feeling satisfied I went back to Dr. Roberts who said that he could correct by shaving the veneers down to make less of an overbite. Again I voiced my concerns of altering the veneers, what would the durability, longevity and appearance be if not in their original form. Of course he assured me they would be fine. After the Dr.Roberts shaved the veneers down they do NOT look the same. Dr. Roberts was to shorten the 1 tooth that was too long. He shorten all of the veneers without asking or advising me and now 1 of the 2 fronts is shorter than the other. After further discussion Dr.Roberts told me that he did what is called minimum prep because they like to keep much of the original tooth, but if I prefer he would redo my veneers and shave down more of my natural teeth so the already thin unaltered veneers will sit correctly. This was an indication that he understood my feeling on my teeth and was willing to work with me. However when I returned the following week for Dr. Roberts to redo them, Dr. Roberts completely changed his tune. He told me that he apologizes for misspeaking and only meant that he would redo 1 of the teeth not all. If I was not satisfied with that, he will shave the veneers off and refund my money and put me in a temporary until I find a new DDS, refunding my money does not leave me satisfied as my teeth are no longer in the original condition, they are thinner and shorter and I am stuck with the short end of the stick. So as long as I agreed with Dr. Roberts opinion and perception of how my teeth should look Dr. Roberts was fine with treating me. Once I had an opinion of my own based on how my teeth were prior to any treatment and the end result Dr. Roberts was no longer willing to have me as a patient. Dr. Roberts does not aim to for patient satisfaction. A Dr./patient relationship should be that: a relationship. Not one sided based on the Dr.’s opinion only, Dr. Roberts is not a man of his word or work and I do not recommend Roberts Family Dentistry. Truly disappointed with Dr. Roberts to say the very least.

Let me start by saying that I have NEVER been a fan of visiting the dentist . Just the thought of needles going into my mouth would make me cringe and have horrible anxiety like you would not BELIEVE!!! Recently, Id been searching for a new dental hygienist when I stumbled across Roberts Family Dental and let me tell you.. They certainly live up to their name as well as all of the spectacular reviews . My first visit I was extremely nervous because I was going in to have two wisdom teeth extracted which I had been avoiding for years because of all of the terrifying stories that Id heard . I just knew that whenever I got this procedure done I would be begging to be put to sleep lol . From the second that I entered the office until the time that I left, I was immediately made to feel like I was a part of The Roberts Family. The entire team is extremely warm and welcoming . I absolutely LOVE Dr. Marc Roberts. He is extremely gentle; which was one of my main concerns as I am not the biggest fan of pain but I was shocked to find that with this experience there was little to none . I would also like to give a special thanks to Ms. Tonya who also assisted Dr. Roberts with a filling and my wisdom tooth extraction. She literally checked on me every step of the way to make sure that I was relaxed and comfortable and even MADE ME LAUGH DURING THE PROCEDURE lol which is amazing since I was a big bundle of nerves going in . Once the procedure was over ( which I am proud to say that I stayed awake for and even watched the ENTIRE time :) Tonya and Dr. Roberts walked me through all of the necessities for at home care explaining each medication prescribed to a T. Once Id gotten home, my daughter and I were just laying down at around 8:30ish and I was just getting ready to take another one of my prescriptions when I became skeptical because I had forgotten to ask one question before leaving but once Id realized it the office was closed so I could not call . Literally 5 minutes or so later my phone was ringing and it was Dr. Roberts calling as a courtesy and following up with me regarding the visit making sure that all was well :) I was able to ask my questions that Id forgotten to ask before leaving but also relieved and beside myself that theyd go to such lengths for me to make sure that all is well. Dr. Roberts and Tonya are both extremely knowledgeable and great at what it is that they do . Not only that , you can also tell how passionate they are about it as well. I can definitely say without any second thought that The Roberts Family has adopted a new member :) A few new members because I will be bringing my daughter and definitely bragging about them to my friends and family :) :) . And if YOU are searching for a new dental family THE SEARCH IS OVER !! Give them 1% of your trust.. They will certainly EARN the other 99% :) Thanks again Roberts Family!! See you all again soon :)

I went to this office under the guise of a "free consultation" that was advertised online. Upon arrival post inspection the dental hygienist gave me a very negative talk about my mouth. Her basic point was that my teeth were going fall out of my head if I didnt get everything they did in the place done. Not swayed by her dramatics I told her I was only interested in a cleaning since I do not have health insurance and it was all that I could afford on my care credit. After checking that I in fact had around 1,200 dollars worth of credit on my card she told me I could get the cleaning that day. Okay, in my mind Im thinking cleaning 100 or 200 bucks. She takes me in the x-ray room. I ask how much it’s going to cost and they tell me free with the consultation. Then before the cleaning starts the doctor comes in and gives me Novocain injections (that I did not ask for). The hygienist comes in to do the cleaning and it lasted about 30 minutes for half of my mouth. Post cleaning, mouth sore, I come to the receptionist to schedule the next appointment for the rest of my mouth and the receptionist tells me to sign a receipt for a payment of 550 dollars! Confused I asked to speak to the hygienist who came out to explain that she gave me a deep cleaning. I told her I didnt authorize a cleaning that would come out to over one thousand dollars when finished (who am I? Ann Romney?). Emphasizing the question of who without health insurance and a steady job (I am a free lance artist) would have a thousand dollar cleaning done? I didnt even know that type of cleaning existed. I left the office extremely upset after a heated exchange with both the receptionist and hygienist and told them that I wasnt going to pay that amount nor was I going to sign the paperwork because it was not made clear to me that the service they were performing was going to cost that amount of money. After not sending me a single bill in the mail or a phone call I recently received a call that the bill is now in collections. And to ice the cake the bill is now $725 because they threw in the cost of the consultation and X-rays that were supposedly free. I have never in my life been taken advantage of from a health care "professional" before. Luckily the man at the collections agency understands my story and is putting my account on hold until I get the proper representation from a legal aid society (because once again I am a starving artist) so as not to affect my credit. I will never go to this dentist office again and I would highly recommend other’s against it.
