I love this vet!! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and really care about your pets. My german shepherd, Kaiser, was diagnosed with lymphoma. Dr. Lohani was absolutely wonderful! Everything from diagnosis and thru each treatment has been done with compassion and with Kaisers best interests in mind. Dr. Lohani found a chemotherapy option that works within my available funds. Kaiser has had 3 treatments so far and has done wonderfully! Dr. Lohani took the time to explain all of the options, including the pros and cons. We opted for chemotherapy. Starting off with low dosage and increasing the dosage by thirds every other month until we reached a maximum dose. We then continue the max dose every other month. Kaisers tumors has shrunk so dramatically over the first 3 doses that I can only find 1 now, and that one only because it is in his throat in an obvious place. This primary lymph node went from the size of an orange to that of a small grape. Dr. Lohani uses prednisone daily with the chemo to give Kaiser as few symptoms as possible. At first, Kaiser had a few UTIs and 1 respiratory infection because the lymphoma, prednisone, and chemo lowers his immune system. Now, we have a very low prednisone dose and the infections are under control with the help of a cranberry supplement. Now the only noticeable side effect of the chemo is Kaiser being tired the day of and 1 day after injection. He has had none of the other possible side effects such as nausea or hair loss. I was so afraid of starting Kaiser on chemo. I have seen how hard chemo is on humans. Dr. Lohani was very honest about the possibility of side effects and problems that could occur and their likelihood. He reassured me and has been there for us every step of the way. I am so glad I listened to him! Kaiser has the same great quality of life and is still 100% Himself. Dr. Lohani keeps a good eye on his blood work and always takes the time to reassure me and answer all of my questions. Chemotherapy has given Kaiser and me so much more time together than we would have otherwise had and has allowed Kaiser to maintain his quality of life beyond what I hoped given his prognosis. For all this, I have Dr. Lohani and the staff at Atlanta West to thank. If you have a pet with cancer, I urge you to talk with Dr. Lohani and see if chemo is an option. The animal experience with chemo is so much easier on them than the human experience!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE absolutely EVERYONE at Atlanta West Animal Hospital!!! I cannot put into words how wonderful this clinic is....from the moment I walked in the door! Everyone is so friendly, helpful and loving! They are so flexible and caring! I just had an emergency situation with one of my beloved fur babies, and they took the BEST care of her! I truly believe had I taken her anywhere else she would not have made it! Their top priority is NOT to see how much money they can rake in, they truly have the animals best interest at heart. They put up with me calling continuously to check on her, and allowed me to come visit her anytime I wanted! They are a vet clinic that truly cares!!! I will never be able to thank Dr. Lohani, Dawn, Rachel, and everyone else there enough for taking such great care of my beloved Pixie! You all are one of a kind! I have made new friends that feel like family to me at Atlanta West Animal Hospital!

Read an article in The Douglas County Sentinel in December about stem cell therapy being done at Atlanta West Animal Hospital by Dr. Lohani. Talked with our regular vet to see what they knew of this treatment. Told them this was being done by a local vet. They provided a copy of the medical records that we took to Dr. Lohani. Lucky was 15 at the time, a month after the surgery he turned 16. We saw immediate improvement in his hips. In addition, his spine that had been affected by arthritis has straightened. Both Dr. Lohani and Dr. Burnett were professional and answered all questions during the treatment and follow-up care. The entire staff was great.

We have taken our 6 year old Havanese, Camilla, to Atlanta West for nearly three years now. Our pup started having difficulty urinating and was peeing blood. It was determined she had bladder stones. One was bigger than a quarter! They brought Camilla in on a Tuesday, removed 17 stones, and had her back to us on Thursday. It is now two weeks after the procedure. Camilla is doing great. Dr. Lohani and staff did an amazing job with Camilla, before, during, and after her surgery. They all care greatly for their patients. We couldnt have asked for better care for our pup.

Great staff and great environment! I dont think I will go to any other vet but this one. The staff truly cares for your pet. A staff member was kind enough to purchase my dog a new collar without me even asking for it, free of charge! The doctor has a ton of experience and once you come in youll find out quickly that your pet will be taken very good care of and that the staff knows what theyre doing. Very reasonable prices and they may even give you a discount! If you want a vet that really cares and has decent prices and great services then this is the vet for you.

I have been taking my furry family members to Atlanta West Animal Hospital for years. They have always been kind to our pets and gave every effort to make sure they returned home with us. We drive from Hiram to Villa Rica which takes a while, but would not take them anywhere else. If you have an after hours emergency they dont send you to a clinic that charges you an arm and leg to see your pet. They meet you at their facility in Villa Rica and the charges are always reasonable. This has been my experience and I wanted to share it.

I will NOT be coming back to this place and trusting my animals in their care. The people that live upstairs buys and sales pot. The few times Ive walked into this place the smell was so much that it took my breath away. Im not against marijuana but when it comes to illegal use in a facility that is open to the public theres a concern. One of the female techs there looked so high she couldnt even function on doing her job correctly. This is NOT a professional way to run a veterinarian hospital. Those poor animals. What a shame!

I have 2 pomerians and I dont trust anyone except these lovely people. They do the best job in grooming than anyone else in this area. My dogs love them and know their way around the building by now. Audrea ( I think that is how she spells her name) she is the only one that I will let groom my dogs. I even use their boarding. Everyone goes out of their way to take care of our dogs. Ive NEVER seen any problems with them at all. Ive been using them for over 3 years now. I dont recommend anyone except this business for your pets.
