All of the staff at Midwest Eye is very pleasant from the moment you walk through the door. I was referred to Dr. Bauer two years ago and from the moment I met him, I knew I was going to get the best quality of care, he always performs a thorough examination of my eyes and of the drainage holes I had prior to becoming his patient, at each visit, he takes the time to explain in detail his finding and answers any questions I have. For many years I complaint that my prescription wasnt​ correct and I would have problems seeing even with new glasses. Dr Bauer took the time and did a thorough examination of my eyes, and now i have a prescription that I can see the computer clearer with and I dont have anxiety attacks when driving at night time. This year is the first year in several years​ that my prescription didnt change and I owe that to the thoroughness Dr. Bauer performed of my eyes from my initial visit. Thank you Midwest Eyes and especially Dr. Bauer.

My family and I cannot express our appreciation enough for the care and attention Dr. Todd gives us. Each staff member is amazingly friendly, professional and courteous! When you walk in to the practice, you are able to immediately feel the warmth this practice has. You are not treated as just "another" patient or a number waiting in line. You are addressed with a smile, a hello by name, and compassionate welcome! This is appreciated! The important thing is, we all have a choice to pick any private or corporate practice to attend to our healthcare needs. Although place like 4 eyes serves the same purpose and at a slightly lesser cost, it doesnt compare to the service that Dr. Todd provides to his clients. I appreciate and value Dr. Todd and his knowledge, provided care and recommended treatment. Hallelujah, I can see the world much clearer with the new glasses I picked up today. Thank you Midwest Eye... each and everyone of you are awesome!

The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Did not feel rushed during my visit, and felt everything was well explained. There was a time delay that was experienced due to a new staff member being trained. It was a bit frustrating, but I can relate to being trained when you encounter issues that have not come in the normal training program. I went to this location because they are one two locations that serve the Downers Grove area that carry Oakley. The Oakley selection was disappointing, if there was more it would be 5/5 star rating. The selection for everything else was far greater. Would recommend to anyone that cant see, looking for new glasses, and wants a vast selection of eyewear. Just the Oakley selection had less than 10 prescription options that were not sunglasses.

I currently have been a customer at Americas Best. I recently had purchased 2 pairs of no Line Progressive transitional lenses from them. However, I have been having problems seeing far away. I have a friend that recommended your office to me after I explained my situation to her. I am very pleased by the professionalism, courtesy, attention to detail that your staff provided to me during my visit. The Dr explained everything to me as he progressed through my exam. The Dr determined that one of the prescriptions for one of the 2 lenses was too strong which is causing me to not be able to see far away clearly. I will becoming a regular patient with Midwest Eye from now on. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I have been seeing Robert Todd, O.D. For many years. This is my first time to his newer office in Downers Grove. As always, very friendly yet professional. Eye exams are extremely thorough. He will spend as much as you need to discuss any issues and the results of your tests. The entire environment is relaxing, very attractive, and laid back. Picking out your frames is a joy with help of their staff. Very pleasant experience. They also work with your insurance, very helpful. Highly recommend.

Ive been a patient of Dr Bauer for years but this was my first time to Midwest in Downers Grove. In the past Ive seen him at Kirk Eye Center in River Forest. I was very impressed with Midwest. Beautiful, comfortable office with very friendly and professional staff. Brian did a great job explaining the various tests to me. And Dr. Bauer was wonderful as always. Very happy I can now see him in Downers Grove which is a much more convenient location for me!

I see Dr. Bauer and feel like I get outstanding eye care. He is super knowledgeable and explains my eye health in detail that I understand. He is also very well connected if you have additional eye issues you need to deal with. The staff at the office is really friendly, efficient and helpful, and the equipment used in your exam is modern and clean. Its a great eye care group! I highly recommend Dr. Bauer and Dr. Robert!

I moved to Westchester about 3 yrs ago from another state. I found Midwest Eye when the office was in the area. I continued to go to the current location even though its a bit of a drive. Dr Robert is very thorough and professional. Lisa is a fantastic Optician. She helps to pick out frames and does the adjustments. The front office and assistants are also very professional. I highly recommend Midwest Eye.

The staff at Midwest Eye is incredible!! From the receptionist to Dr. Robert, everyone is very caring and professional. I have extremely bad vision (worn glasses since I was five) and never look forward to seeing the eye doctor, but I can honestly say that Dr. Robert is the best eye doctor Ive ever been to. He was patient, put me at ease, and answered all of my questions and made me feel like a priority.

I have followed Dr. Todd Robert from his previous 2 offices. I could probably find an eye doctor closer to home, but I wont. He, Kim, and the rest of the staff are so friendly. They are always helpful and over the past 13 years I havent worn a pair of glasses that I have not been complimented on. I love the way Dr. Robert always explains the test hes doing.

Very thorough exam. From preliminary tests performed by the assistant Danielle to the actual exam itself by Dr Robert, I was informed every step of the way what each test was intended to achieve and whether or not any issues or possible problems were observed. Ive been seeing Dr Robert for several years now and have been very pleased with his work.

Even though I did have to wait about a half hour before I was seen, the wait was worth it for Dr. Bauer. He is absolutely awesome! He is thorough, kind, compassionate and explains everything! The tech Rachel was also fantastic and she was new! The rest of the staff was nice and acted like a big family. I felt very comfortable here.

Every time we come here we wait at least one hour before seeing the doctor. Im sitting here right now, with a 10:50 appointment for my 9 year old son. Its 11:50 and we still havent seen a doctor. This isnt an isolated occurance, this happens every time we come. We wont be coming back.
