I would give this place 0 stars. Before the place switched which Im assuming its a new owner.. but before they switched they were okay... now they are the worst!!! I had to put my dog down and I walked in crying I scheduled a appointment and the lady asked why I was there... look at ur computer much? Im crying why do u think Im here... I was with my brother for support and We were treated like we were kids.. we r in our 20s... We go in the room and lay my dog down. My dog was upset she has been abused in her past. I told the person doing taking my dogs life this. She had the guts to ask me if She needed to be muzzled... Im NO if my dog wants to bite my head off with her last breathe I would of let her... putting her down was the worst and still is day of my life!! After she was put down they said take all the time u need.. me crying on the floor wrapped around my dog 2 minutes later they came in and rudley asked if I was done... then I walk out and still crying... my brother carrying the lifeless Body to my car.. the lady had me pay. (Also after she was put down they didnt ask if I wanted paw prints or anything done... which I wanted but was to stuffed up and upset about my dog it slipped my mind..) I asked why it was so much but with no answer... after burying my dog I talked to my mom about how the quote i got over the phone was 200$ more... she called and they said my dog has never been there before so they charged her for a exam and check up... they did not look at my dog they did not do a check up! If you are going to charge me At least do what you have to charge me for... my dog has been their several times. I do not recommend this place. I wrote a review on yelp and it was deleted... I was so angry on how they treated me that I wanted to write them a letter but in the back of my mind I knew they would just throw it away.. I havent gone back since and now travel to take my animals to a different vet. I do not reccomnd this place so not go here!

We have a 2 year old female Wheaton Terrier that has been seen by Dr. Shannon since we brought her home. Dr. Shannon and the Heartland staff have been wonderful to us and our fur baby. We had tummy troubles early on with our pup and they were able to help us change food instead of jumping into something more medical like pills. We have called and had same day appointments which has put our first time puppy parent minds at ease. Dr. Shannon is so sweet and kind to our little girl and takes the time to make sure we understand what is going on, what procedure is needed and what follow up care is going to be. Weve never felt rushed in an appointment and she has often been able to do many labs while we wait, which is great. Weve recommended Heartland Vet to many friends in the area who all have enjoyed their care and professional treatment of their pets.

I absolutely love this place. I have a Holland Lop (bunny) so its not as easy to find a vet, as they are considered "exotic". I used to go to a place in Algonquin and (admittedly) my bunny has very bad teeth. The doctor was very nice, but recommended I had her teeth trimmed every 3-4 weeks. This is at least $100 (dont exactly remember) and though Im not a vet, that seemed extremely excessive and unhealthy. (Anesthesia) I took her here and everyone is so nice. They said around every 11 weeks would be fine, but even at that, her teeth arent horrible. They actually showed me what to look for in regards to her teeth so I can tell when she needs to come in. Very sweet. A few days ago a HUGE abscess showed up on her face and in a panic I called them (on a Saturday) and they had a opening at 10:30 and 11. Nice availability. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Dr. Shannon Moore owner of Hartland Veterinary Clinic has been keeping my Doberman Penny healthy and in tip top shape. Dr. Shannon is incredibly thorough on her exam/diagnosis/execution. One visit and you will understand undoubtedly why Hartland Veterinary Clinic is the premier small animal clinic in the Northern Illinois/Southern Wisconsin. If you expect the best for your animal... Go to the best.. I have referred many people and will continue to refer people to Dr. Shannon knowing that they will be taken care of with the up most professionalism. Dr. Shannon is hands down the best vet I have ever gone to. She saved me a ton of money and saved my dog a lot of pain when he was misdiagnosed at another vets office closer to my home. The vet office I used to go to told me my dog needed two very expensive and physically tasking knee surgeries (especially for an older dog) without ever doing any x rays. When I took him into Hartland vet clinic for a second opinion Dr. Shannon told me his knees werent in terrible shape and that he would feel much better after a non steroidal pain medication shot. It worked and I couldnt believe what a difference it made, he was like a puppy again!

I Love the energy of the Hartland Vet Clinic, Dr. Shannon is truly the best and I can trust her with all 4 of my dogs. So far she has done an exploratory surgery on my puppy after he was really sick from chewing up a bone, he recovered very well! She later did his neuter and had to do some extractions because his puppy teeth didnt fall out. She is so awesome at what she does and Im so happy that my family has found such a good local vet! The staff A+++ You can tell that everyone at the clinic loves what they do and they are there for the animals!

I take both of my dogs to Hartland and by far it is one of the best veterinary clinics in the area. Dr. Moore and the staff are very knowledgeable and cordial of their furry friends and their owners! I am able to walk in to the clinic and everyone knows me by first name as well as my pets. There have been several occasions in which I have needed veterinary attention without an appointment and it has never been a problem! I highly recommend Dr. Moore and the Hartland Veterinary Clinic! :)

Worked at Hartland for Dr. Shannon from the beginning of here ownership of Hartland, and many years before. This doctor is not only sweet and caring but smart too. I had a Dog that I recently lost to cancer but Dr. Shannon did everything in her power to give my husband and I more time with him. We got 9 months that we may not have had without her caring for him. Thank You Dr. Shannon for really caring about every animal that comes through the door.

Have been taking my two cats to this clinic since I moved back to Illinois. One of my boys is very scared of other people but loves the ladies here at Hartland Vet Clinic! He may not like going to get his shots but he does like these ladies to the point where he will come out of his carrier on his own (which has never happened at any other clinic I have taken him to). Thanks for taking care of my boys!
