Took my two cats here for checkups and for behavior issues. The younger cat is bullying the older and they had gotten into a dominance contest, both peeing outside of the box. They were both put on Prozac. The older cat responded well, no further issues with inappropriate elimination, but the others behavior seemed to improve and then got worse. Now he is even more of a bully, aggressive towards my husband, excessive vocalization, and never sleeps. I called back to ask what to do next since his behavior was worse and was told that the vet Id seen would be out of the office for the next 3 weeks. The other vets did not even look into what had been tried with the cats and suggested the same things that did not work, the calm food. Honestly, I dont know anyone that that food actually did work for. I was unable to speak to anyone other than the receptionist. I am expecting a new baby in less than 4 weeks and cannot have an aggressive cat in the house. VCA did respond to this review and said that I should call the behaviorist at Purdue and Indy Humane and to concurrently schedule to surrender him since it can take a long time to get an appointment to surrender an adult cat. I did contact Indy Humanes behaviorist, but most of the advice they gave me was what I had already done. A consult with another behaviorist yielded the same advice. I did schedule an appointment to surrender the cat, but the way the person scheduling the appointment talked to me gave me qualms, so Ive cancelled it. Well suffer through this and hope it is just spring fever and will pass.

This vet has been a constant disappointment. I have brought my cat to this vet for almost 3 years, and this particular cat has had problems with inappropriate elimination almost since Ive had her. Ive begged them for ideas or for a recommendation to a behavioral specialist, but it always falls on deaf ears. Even when I told them there was blood in her stool, they never did any more than a routine exam and wrote my cat a prescription for Prozac. My other complaint is that they NEVER pronounce my cats name correctly. In fact, they have mispronounced it and made fun of it to my face. This may seem like a minor issue, but frankly, I named the cat, and its insulting to me. I feel its disrespectful to practice this way, not to mention culturally insensitive given the context of her name. Would it really be so hard to write a quick phonetic in the chart so that they can get it right?!? Ive had it, Im finding a new vet.

I called VCA on Presidents Day and told them how sick my dog was. I was really worried about him because he hadnt eaten in 3 days. They were able to see him immediately. The entire the staff was pleasant, sympathetic, courteous, and compassionate. Because it was a holiday, I had 2 children with me. They were allowed into the exam room to watch everything. I wasnt sure how I was going to afford his treatment, since they require payment at the time of the visit, I explained my financial capabilities to them. They were respectful and understanding. The staff at VCA has gone above and beyond to make sure that my sweet baby gets the treatment he needs, and that I can afford. I could go on and on with different examples of why I am so happy with this vet. It is overall, an excellent place to take your pet for any of their healthcare needs.

When i went to the Beach Grove VCA I, at first, thought it was a very friendly place with a great staff and i felt comfortable with taking my cat there for his appointment. When i had talked to an employee over the phone we were asking for pricing for what was needed. I was quoted for $260-ish, only to get blind-sided by a bill doubling the quote. The staff was very nice, but the doctor asked us, "how much were you quoted", i responded with $260. She then replied with a "hmm" response and nothing was said. We also had a coupon for our first visit free, so no lab fees or other spendatures other than the procedures and meds. Very unhappy with this place, i suggest a different vet office.

They are not at all thorough with their examinations and they way overcharge for everything. I took my pup in because she had been limping. They barely even looked at her leg and told me it was just growing pains and not to worry. Took her to another vet and they immediately told me it was most likely hip dysplasia. Its sad to me that a vet wouldnt even check for that. They also were going to charge me double the price of other vets for X-rays and they wanted me to pay to sedate her when it was unnecessary. Needless to say, I will never go back to this vet.

I needed my 1 year old cat spayed. After calling around, and even taking her to another nearby vet for her kitten shots, the BCA Beech Grove Animal Hospital had the most reasonable prices of anyone I called. Not only that, my cat had an umbilical hernia that the vet fixed for another reasonable price. The staff was SUPER friendly and very attentive. I wish I wouldve brought my cat to this place first! I would recommend them to anyone.

I brought my kitten here on 7/19/2016. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all the questions I had. Plus they treated my kitten so carefully and respectfully! I may make this my cats Vet permanently. My cat got a free physical and it went great! This place will treat your best Friends and fur babies with care, thats for sure! Thanks VCA for the wonderful service!

I have always taken my dog there and she is a 13 year old lab but she really hasnt had any issues, but I just got a kitten and we had him declawed, neutered and micro chipped here - they were so sweet and took such great care of my little Rockie - he even came home like nothing even happened. They are always nice when I call and they really seem to love the animals that come in.

I have been here multiple times with true emergencies. The wait is terrible. They let my dog just bleed in the waiting room, waited over an hour. Took my pup that tore a tendon, again, waited an hour and a half. The cost is outrageous. They did do great work and care for my emergencies but I feel that the cost is way high for their new facility and the wait time is horrible.

Do NOT get your animal groomed here! I have a pomeranian and when I went to pick her up she was COMPLETELY shaved! When I contacted them about it, the manager had a staff member call me back instead of contacting me herself to take care of this issue!

I was quoted one price over the phone and then had to pay a much higher price when I got to check out with my dog. I was told, it was a miscommunication, but yet I had to pay the higher price since the procedure done was completed.

The staff is friendly, they kept my dog calm during shots and even gave him a treat. Got him a microchip and signed up for the monthly pet care plan. Great value. Id definitely recommend them to everyone I know
