My appointment went fine. A hs student was shadowing the dr and was allowed to input my information into the computer. When my glasses came in the tech accidentally broke the lens. I needed them that week as I was going out of town. I decided instead of waiting for them to re do them (a week) I would take my prescription to a place that can make them same day. Flash forward about a month and I was still having blurred vision and headaches that you normally get when adjusting to a new prescription. I called and was advised by the person that answered the phone to take them back where I had them made. I did and they ended up doing a new exam as they couldnt see a problem with the glasses compared to the prescription I brought in. I learned from the dr that the prescription I was given at Michiana Eye was for a person who is farsighted (+) I am nearsighted (-). I went in to Michiana Eye and explained and asked if the charge to my insurance for the eye exam could be removed as I had to pay for a new exam plus a new copay for the other place. I received a call the next day and the answer was no because apparently they would have rechecked my eyes for free there and I shouldnt have gone and had a new exam done elsewhere. Well I tried to go back and was told to take them where I had them made. The lady in billing also told me that my new numbers in the prescription were close to what they got during my appointment with them. That is true but the + and - make all the difference not just the actual numbers. Communication throughout the office would have prevented this. Im out of pocket $70 PLUS the hassle and (literal) headache of having the wrong prescription for over a month! Never again. Im new to the area and tried a new place. Next time I will gladly drive 45 mins to my old doctor.

I thought it was great. Easy to make an appointment online and enter all of your insurance information. When I got there, the front desk gal was so sweet and let me now there was an issue with my insurance but we got it fixed in no time. The tech was very nice. He was very intelligent, I was greatly impressed with the great deal of information he gave me and educated me on so many things. Ive been wearing contacts/glasses for 25 years and left knowing things I never knew. The doctor was very professional. I did feel like the tech did a lot though and spent way more time with me. Ive never had a tech do all of that for the doctor. Every place Ive ever been the doc has done all of that and spent much more time with me. But nonetheless, the doctor was nice, professional and very knowledgeable. She educated me on my eyes and some things that were going on. I felt good when I left. Was super glad I didnt have to do the puff in the eye test!!

I have been going to Dr. Danahy for about twenty years. He is very friendly and makes sure that all of my questions are answered. The staff at Michiana Eye Center is always friendly and they all make sure to "get the job done right." Even on the rare occasion when I have not been about to see Dr. Danahy, the other doctors that I have seen have all been very friendly and do not just rush in and out of the exam room. Also, Dr. Danahy may see a lot of patients, but always takes time to know some personal about his patients and always asks how things are going.

Michiana Eye Center is the best. Ive been going there for four years. The office is beautiful and conveniently located. Kevin Danahey is my Dr. and he is wonderful. Always answers all of my questions completely, offers detailed information on any issues Im having with my eyes and discusses treatment options in detail. The staff is always kind, friendly and helpful. And the Optometrist is always thorough. I have never had anything but the best experience at Michiana Eye Center.

Went in with perfectly good vision with the exception of cloudiness caused by cataracts. Subsequent surgery to correct this problem ended with very poor vision along with hundreds of floaters in left eye and distorted vision in right eye. After nearly 8 months of using very expensive eye drops, most of the problem has been corrected, but will eventually require additional surgery to get back to what I had before. Would never allow anyone at Michiana Eye Center to work on me again!

My doctor is awesome! But The front desk personnel with a British accent is a little bit snooty. When I asked her if theres a liquid sanitizer available for the patients, she told me to go to the restroom and check it out. Really? I saw some that was placed inside the front desk. Is it too expensive to share with your patients? Or maybe she was just lazy to get up from her precious chair to get it.

Nice people, nice selection of eyewear, but they refused to listen to me when I said I was seeing double with the new glasses they gave me. They said "your eyes will adjust", and they did! But now, for the first time in my life, I see double every time I take off my glasses. Never going back.

Ive been going there for close to 20 years, and love all the stafff and doctors ive delt with giving them 5+ star review, but giving them a no star for not being able to pay my bill on line. They seem to be up on everything else but that, so hopefully they will catch up with the times!!

Doctors there are good and patient. 5 stars Optical store is way much overpriced and it is almost double the price you can get elsewhere with better lenses. 1 stars Have your eyes examed there and order your glasses somewhere else.

I switched to Michiana Eye Center and I am very pleased. However there is a person at front desk that could be a bit more friendlier, but we all have bad days, maybe next time, I will be back. Thanks for the good care.
