Horrible. My 11-year-old Pomeranian has been under her care for almost 3 years and now he has heart failure and heart disease due to her neglect. I took my three dogs in May to be boarded and they all were supposed to have their exam and shots and any other care that they need it. I had to take Chico back last month because of a mole on his shoulder. I asked , when you did the exam in May did you see it and what did you think about at the time. Well come to find Laura didnt give him an exam in May only two shots. Well she did a exam and blood work cause she said he needed surgery to remove the mole. I told her all the issues Chico had been having and some of the things were getting worse.. so she did the exam and blood work and said he was fine to have surgery. Well he had the surgery but after the surgery Chico started to decline. Well she told me Chico really needed to be checked for cushions disease, well ok you just took his blood did you have it tested , well it wasnt wasnt cushions disease any way. Chico wasnt getting any better so I decided to take him to another veterinarian for second opinion well thank God I did because when she did the exam on Chico before he had his surgery she should have detected that there was something wrong with his heart and his lungs from the symptoms I was telling her and her exam and she didnt she did make a comment that she did hear wheezing and his breathing was off but she still decided to put him under Anastasia and do the surgery . Took Chico for the second opinion went in she knew right away something was wrong with his heart she did a chest x-ray heart scan and found out that Chicos heart was double the size and lungs are filled with fluid.

Before Trump was elected President, I wouldve sworn Dr. Smith was the most caring doctor my pets had ever had. Several days after Trump was elected, this doctor and her front room assistant became completely unrecognizable. During election time, Id made arrangements with them to "fix" and board my pets while I was away on a family emergency in another state. When I called to see if I could bring them by a day earlier than was originally planned, the person that answered the phone started yelling at me in a loud reprimanding way while holding a conversation on her end of the line that did not correspond with the conversation I was having at my end. At one point, I looked at my phone to see if I was on mute and she was actually yelling at someone in the room with her. I decided at that moment not to take my pets in to have Dr. Smith or anyone else work on them because if this was the way they were treating me, a person that has a voice to speak up, what would they do to little defenseless animals that cant tell you how they were being treated. All I could think of was that this woman was putting on a show for those that were there to hear her berate me on the phone. Why do I think it has something to do with Trump? This was the start of a vicious cycle of mistreatments that Ive had to endure, living in a predominantly white community, since he was elected. Coincidence? I think not.

We have been bringing our pets to Drs. Smith (husband and wife) for about 6 years, and could not be more happy with their service, empathy, expertise, and reasonable rates. The doctors and staff care truly care about the welfare of our furry babies. There are separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, and toys for the little kids (humans). The doctors are involved in the community for the wellbeing of cats and dogs, including providing vet services for the local rescue centers and shelters. It is not unusual in the Spring - Fall for the waiting area to include cages of adorable rescued kittens that have been vetted and are ready for adoption. The doctors dont try to pressure you into spending thousands of dollars that you dont have, but give you all the options when your pet may need expensive care to survive ---- and dont make you feel like a horrible person if you decide to take the realistic route. Drs. Smith are wonderful with our aged pets, making sure they live out the remainder of their lives with the most comfort and minimal pain possible, in dignity. I highly recommend All Cats and Dogs!!

Dr. Smith has been seeing our pets for about 5 years. I have always found her and her staff to be warm and inviting. We have had several issues with our cat, and I have loved and trusted the care he was given. I also know from personal experience that Dr. Smith will still make house calls for her clients if they are not able to get to her office. I dont know of any other veterinarian in this area that provides this service. Recently we had an emergency with one of our pets and Dr. Smith went above and beyond what we expected. We are very grateful. As for these few negative posts I have read, I dont believe them. They sound like people who did not get their way so they decided to trash a wonderful doctor and her practice. These individuals are obviously using social media as their "soapbox" for what is probably a very sad and miserable life. I would recommend Dr. Smith to anyone. Actually I have. If you are looking for a veterinarian who truly cares. Look no further. Call All Cats and Dogs. They really are the best.

Dr. Smith is amazing. She has been caring for my pets for many years. Last year, I had lost my Mom and then three weeks later had to put down my best little Buddy. She saw him on a SUNDAY, after checking her messages and called us to find out what the situation was. She was so kind and loving to me and my little guy. I feel so thankful that she was there for us. Now I have my cats who she sees and takes great care of , even though one of them is a little stinker and tried to scratch her ! Im thankful that she is here in La Plata for us! I think sometimes this can be a thankless job, if you have a pet, you should have an excellent Vet like Dr. Smith. The whole office has always been great. I appreciate all of you.

My dog needed medical attention and they made room for me to bring him in right away without an appointment. Made an quick, thorough assessment of his condition and presented me with all of the options we could do to move forward. Unfortunately because of his condition, it made the most sense for him and us (the family) to end his suffering. This decision was made about 15 minutes after they had already closed for the day but they never made anything feel rushed. They made the whole process as comfortable and accommodating as I could imagine it could be. I would highly recommend All Cats and Dogs to anyone looking for a veterinarian office that has a great atmosphere, cares about the animals and their owners.
