These guys are fantastic. They are not my normal vet, but Ive got some pretty high standards, having worked for numerous animal-based jobs, including a vet, before. I called them 20 minutes before they closed with a kitten I got yesterday: the runt of a litter, he was a street cat with no prior medical care and he is absolutely tiny. I was concerned because he was having diarrhea, which is a scary thing in a cat who weighs less then a pound. They checked with their vet, who encouraged me to come down just in case; if i could get there by the time they closed, we would be seen. They were very willing to fit us in last minute. We got there with 5 minutes to spare, and they saw us to a room. They were very efficient and very competent. They answered all of my questions, and were thorough in his care: fluids, de-wormer, flea treatment, some tests, and a bit of food. The doctor we saw, Dr. Stephens, answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable, and she was genuinely concerned with my kittens welfare. The vet tech was also knowledgeable and took our information efficiently. Overall, it was a good, welcoming atmosphere. And they were absolutely willing to make copies for us to take to our normal vet, and recommended two emergency vets in the area should our kitten have any problems overnight. They also knew our regular vet and spoke well of them-- techs and doctor. Their pricing is very affordable. I would be happy to pay these prices regularly, and they did not charge us extra despite the fact that we were a last-minute emergency seen after they closed. The staff loved our kitten and asked us to send an update even though we do not see them regularly. I am VERY happy with this vets office, and if my relationship with my current vet was not so positive, I would switch in a heartbeat.

Incredible - Loving -Thank you! I have been going to Timonium Animal Hospital for 6 year. My 11 year old boxer was recently diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Gernhert in a very caring way presented my options to me. We chose to put my boxer down because we did not want her to suffer. The entire vet clinic was very supportive and empathetic during this extremely sad time. They allowed the process to occur on my time. At no time was I rushed in my decision, I actually waited 10 days. Once I did make the decision, I was able to stay with my pup during the process so she was not left alone. After, I was able to stay with my pup for as long as I needed say good-bye. A week later, they even sent a sympathy card to my house with my pups paw print on it. It was the nicest thing they could have done. I could really tell through the actions and words of everyone in the clinic, they understood how I felt and wanted to make this decision as easy as possible for me. I could not have had such a positive experience during such a difficult time in my life. Thank you so much to Dr. Gernhart and associates.

I have been taking my cats here for over 15 years. The level of care has been consistently excellent no matter who saw them. Always willing to take the extra time to answer all my questions. Where they really excel the most in my experience has been in dealing with animals with terminal conditions (cancer). While surgery and chemo were discussed as options, they were very candid with my about likelihoods or not of success. Dr. Stephens has really phenomenal in coming up with a variety of ways to provide compassionate care to make my pet as comfortable as possible and keep his quality of life high for the final stretch. I worked part-time as a vets assistant in high school and college so I have high expectations. Both vets and staff at this Hospital exceed my expectations every time.

I am writing this to bring to light the unfortunate situation that is taking place at Timonium Animal Hospital. Many of the people that work there have nothing but the best disposition toward each other, the animals they take care of, and the people bringing their animals for care. However, the owner of this practice treats her employees like second class citizens and does not give them the humane treatment they deserve. I hope for the very best for everyone that works there, but please, do not patronize this establishment any longer. The owner does not deserve to be the recepient of all of her employees hard work.

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING COMING HERE! Initially i had taken my cat to CharmCity Vets who were not very helpful at all in giving my cat some relief for his teeth and drooling. TAH is a better veterinarian facility, and Dr.C Mcintyre is intelligent and experienced, she is extremely helpful, and in my opinion genuinely cares about my cat. The techs (Bethany) were extremely helpful-my guy had an accident and she helped with a towel and paper-towels. Make an appointment, have information and advocate for your pet. Timonium Animal Hospital treated my cat like it was theirs. Thank you!

I am shocked to read the previous review. One would think from reading that review that a dictator or tyrant runs the place OR that the reviewer is holding a personnel grudge. I am not an employee nor do i know any of them personally but that is not the perception one get when you are there. I have never received anything but professional, kind and courteous treatment from the staff and Dr. Gernhart. She has listened to my concerns and called for a follow up with out prompt. I will continue to take my dog there and will recommend this vet to any and all.

My dog has been having issues for the past 6 weeks...Hes been to the Pet ER in Towson twice so far and this location twice as well. Although it is cheaper than the Per ER ($75 just to take a look), it is also extremely expensive when it comes to the medication (charged double the Pet ER for the same medicine.) Im also on a fixed budget, so an additional $40 wasnt good...Wound up driving to Waugh Chapel Animal Hospital to see Dr. Anderson...He finally diagnosed my dog, and did surgery same day to make sure he got better asap. Thats a Vet that cares....

This is one of the worst animal hospitals in the area. I had taken my shelter cat over to them to get de-flea-ed and was told my cat was dying and needed a $500 blood transfusion. I told them I absolutely could not afford that (not to be crass but the cat was $40 and we hadnt bonded yet) and only then did they present a $25 option. I took the latter, but was completely turned off by these "vet" scammers, scathing angry. Needless to say, I switched vets and my cat has grown into a healthy adult!

I have been taking my furbabies to Timonium Animal Hospital since it was originally located in Timonium Plaza! I have seen Dr. Gernhardt, Dr. Stevens, Dr. H, Dr Shelly and everyone there. Theyve always given my pets the best care, were beyond compassionate when my older boy had to be put down and all round great. I continue to take my dogs there even after Ive moved almost half an hour away. I have recommended them to everyone I know and will continue to do so!

We have been customers of Timonium Animal Hospital for 15 years or more. Dr. Gernhart and her associates are extremely accessible, provide top quality care and are wonderful, compassionate folks. We have a dog with a chronic condition and they have helped guide us through many difficult choices. I feel that due in large part to their good care, our dog is now almost 14 years old and is still ticking along. I highly recommend TAH.
