My daughter and I have been going to this center for years and have bought several pairs of prescription glasses and contact lenses. My most recent visit however was my last as I was blatantly ripped off of on pair of Ray Ban sunglasses (off the shelf, no prescription). After spending just short of $1,000 on my progressive computer glasses, I was led to believe that I was being given a “great 35% discount” on the Ray Ban sun glasses that were on the shelf in the waiting room (the “discount” being offered as a “bonus” for buying the progressives glasses). Shelf price at the center was $289.00. After the “discount” I was charged $187.00. When I got home I checked the Ray Ban website to see if the manufacturer still carries the glasses as I wanted to read reviews, and the exact same pair from Ray Ban is $112.00 (not a sale price). On Amazon they are listed for $69.00. When I called the eye center exactly 1 hour after buying the glasses to see if I could return them as I hadn’t even taken them out of the bag yet, I was told “sorry, no”. Never mind I had just picked up $1,000 prescription glasses that same day. While I should have done my homework before buying the glasses, I foolishly trusted the eye doctor office my family had been frequenting for years. Pretty awful. This experience also makes me question how many hundreds of dollars extra I paid for my prescription glasses too. Never again. Don’t go there!

Agree with Jen... This is a bad place to go. The doctor was great nothing wrong there, but they need to hire new Office Staff.. They are nasty and rude. Be sure you know your insurance coverage because they will try and take advantage of you and try and pull more out of then what you really should have to pay. No customer service what so ever. Once we questioned some charges she went on a rampage against us. Now it is going to be weird going in to pick up my contacts because when I returned their call as soon as she realized who she was talking to her voice changed.

Dont bother going there unless you like disappointment. After 15 years, the staff there is rude and not professional. Took 6 weeks to get my glasses when promised for 7 to 10 days. I received a $30 cash coupon to use which then they would not honor. Loved Dr. Hutcheson and actually liked the doctor, but the staff is running clients away. My family will find somewhere else to go. SAD SAD SAD after 15 years.

I recently picked up my new glasses at the Silver Spring location and had the pleasure of meeting Rob. I was so very impressed with his knowledge of my eye care needs. So much so I am going to try to order a spare pair of glasses and also a pair of prescription sun glasses of I can afford it. Thank you again Rob; Also thanks to Jay, Patricia, and Dr. Ghannam.

The optometrist is not bad. However, I have been going to this location for the past few years, and the staff is unprofessional and incompetent. They do not get your orders done correctly, either. The last two times I went there, I had each of my orders screwed up. I am never going back to this location for further treatment.

I Care Doctor was incredibly helpful in working with my insurance company to provide new lenses within the same contract year as my previous lenses. After all, its not my fault my prescription changed so dramatically within one year! It was a pleasure working with the folks at I Care Doctor - they really do!

Great customer service and friendly staff. I was able to get an appointment right away. I appreciate that they didnt try to sell me on a pair of glasses, but when I am ready to make that purchase, I will certainly come back to them.
