Weve been bringing our 2 dogs and 1 cat to FAH since 2004. Several times the animals have been seriously ill and the docs always seemed very deliberate, methodical and diligent as they observed, examined, tested, diagnosed, treated and monitored the animals. We want to do the right thing for our animals. We have a limited budget. The docs are always very helpful about helping us decide where that money is best spent and which tests to do first in order to get the best health care. They have half a dozen docs and they consult readily with each other if there is a question. If they dont know something, they say so. If I phone in with a problem, theres always a doc who can speak with me right then. Often they can solve the problem right over the phone. Everyone here really seems to know and love what they do. Quality veterinary care may seem expensive but Im pretty sure that these same people could be making more money in human medicine. I see very little turnover in the docs or staff. 10 years and countless visits and I cant think of a thing to complain about. I greatly value my personal relationship with all the helpful people here. We have been using Framingham Animal Hospital for 16 years. We have had our two dogs cared for there and have taken many foster animals.To the tune of thousands of dollars. From minor emergencies to putting our companions down, they are skilled. While their technical know how is unquestionable, unfortunately I have to agree that the cage side manner leaves much to be desired. The older desk staff is cold and nasty and even MEAN!. Even to the point of unwelcoming and rude at times. The younger folks there who have yet to be jaded are very nice. However, just dont have to much expectation to walk away with that warm, fuzzy feeling that can make difficult experiences more bearable. They seem to miss the point when it comes to treating the entire family. Not just the pet. You will also pay top dollar for their care.

We recently moved to Framingham and I received a recommendation for this animal hospital from a co-worker. He has been taking his pets here for 16 years - and I can see why! We recently made the very painful decision to have one of our cats put to sleep. He had a very aggressive form of cancer and we did not want him to suffer. I completely appreciate the compassionate and conservative approach Dr. Monroe took with our pet. She was completely diligent in getting a second opinion for us, providing us with all of our options in clear terms, and handled both us and our pet with compassionate care. We also got our first dog and the staff provided us with so much infomation on training and feeding and other care considerations. We could not be happier.

We started using FAH 25 years ago after we adopted 2 feral kitties from Framingham humane Society. The litter had spent time at FAH for socialization and Dr. Nord remembered them immediately! We were very happy with the care and staff. We changed to another vet closer to home. However we are back because to us, FAH is the best.

FAH and their staff are really great! I have brought my cat their two times for some basic check ups and shots and they are attentive and prompt. I would easily recommend them to anyone in the Metrowest area. They just need an in house groomer for cats to complete the package.

Its 1 pm on Thursday and the office its closed! And all I got a customer service guy that was extreamly rude I asked him a question and hung up on me... Im not a usual customer there... but really? Is this how you treat people?
