I will never return to Chelsea Optometry and will tell everyone I know to avoid them. My prescription was wrong. I told the doctor I could not use the glasses because they blurred my vision. When I returned, after being out of town, I asked the doctor to recheck my prescription. He did this. He said the prescription was correct and shouldnt be changed. His kind office staffer made a minimal tilting adjustment to the lenses or frame. I was told to try this. Dr. Carneys office was aware that I would be out of town and taking extended trips. While out of town I had to go to another eye doctor to get glasses I could actually use. This eye doctor gave me a prescription that worked and said the glasses from Chelsea Optometry were the wrong prescription for me. I called my vision benefits people and also went to Chelsea Optometry, asking for a refund. I was denied by Chelsea Optometry because too much time had passed even though they knew from day one that I had blurred visions with their glasses.

We will not be back. I asked prior to my visit if they could accommodate eyeglasses for my almost 3 year old. We were sent out the door with a vague diagnosis and glasses too big for my child. He is unable to wear the glasses and we are off to another doctor. Dr. Carney said a bill would be sent for an additional $20 due to lenses. The bill arrived and was $160. I feel very taken advantage of by this business.

Always adding more and more fees to my visits and I have to squint to see with my new glasses, with my contacts not being much better. They were extremely pushy about what lenses I wanted to get as well. Will be looking to transfer my records over to a new provider as soon as possible.

My family and I just moved to Chelsea from New York and we went to "Chelsea Optometry" and loved it! The location was perfect! We had great service! The staff was wonderful! We will be back every year!
