Very racist My husband has stage 4b Lymphoma and had just left his chemo consultation appointment from getting his blood drawn 1 hour before. He was in severe pain and and needed some medication to get him through the weekend until the next appointment with his oncologist. My husband still had his arm band on from getting his blood drawn. He took it off right when Dourra was entering the room and it was a little itchy from the spandex. My husband was also having some speach impairment due to him having a PT scan earlier and was administered a small dose of xanax and adavan through his IV for his severe anxiety due to pain before the scan. So I did help speak on his behalf. Dr. Dourra yelled at us and kept cutting ny husband off from trying to say anything about needing more meds. Percocet 7.5 to be exact. He toldmy husband the reason je was itching was because he was feining for the medicine......??? My husband was only 113 lbs at the time and was very small and dourra thought that he could be easily intimidated so he started cursing at me and my husband about the prescribing more meds, slammed his laptop and told me to leave his office because he didnt want to speak to me all because I spoke up for my husband. I was so hurt and disgusted at the behavior he showed our family , that I THREW UP, I cried so hard in that waiting room I couldnt see or talk anymore. The nurse staff came over to talk to me and apologized for his behavior. She also advised that patients abuse the medicine all the time and that is why he got irate with us. Mind you my husband has STAGE 4B HODGKINS DISEASE. I will be making a complaint with the Department of Health, Consumer Affairs, Lansing and Osha. And not to mention the BBB. I have had it with racist doctors who continously violate patients rights. Dr. Dourra is also running a pharmaceutical scheme through relatives at this facility. Which has been witness by several patients and their families. He is a very messy, big headed, racist and under the radar doctor, who cobtributes to the drug problem in the U.S.. He profits from "patient prescriptions" and needs to be investigated as soon as possible.

Dr.dourra has been my Dr for over 5 years and I can say that he is truly a great dr. He has seen members of my family as well as my daughters and I refuse to have any one else as my primary care physician. He takes his time, he listens to your concerns and you never leave an appointment feeling like just another patient, his staff is kind and courteous and his medical assistant Eloise is a swwetheart and the only person I trust to ever draw my blood when need be. If you are looking for an amazing Dr that will treat you like family then look no further.
