Great Expressions is an outstanding dental institution for anyone working with a budget or who is currently without dental insurance. The insurance GE offers their clients is inexpensive and pays for darn near half the retail cost of all services completed. It’s really the route to take if you need work done and don’t have active insurance. With that being said, I have very few complaints about Great Expressions. All of the surgeons I worked with were very kind, accommodating, and efficient in their work. However, the turnover rate for surgeons at the Southgate office is somewhat high. It’s not much of an inconvenience, except that I live an hour and a half south. Each surgeon has their own hours. So when your last surgeon has openings on weekends but your new surgeon does not, it’s becomes frustrating trying to schedule an appointment knowing you have to use vacation time in order to do so. This was honestly the biggest of my issues, and really, it wasn’t that big of a deal. You will love the teamwork at GE; you will love the conversations (they have fun like the rest of us); and you will love the front office staff. Those ladies are truly a delight! I recommend Great Expressions for any dental needs. Trust me, I had to have every single tooth in my mouth reconstructed. I was not about to go somewhere other than where I trust.

THIS DENTIST OFFICE ROCK!!!!! When I came in I was greeted with a friendly smile, they called me back on time, I honestly felt like I was the only thing that mattered at that moment (even though it was other patients there) Dr.Paul and Trish made me feel so comfortable, they explained everything to me in detail, didnt make me feel bad for not taking care of my teeth or anything!!!!At the end of my visit theu gave me a DETAILED summary of treatment plan, and started setting up my appointments!!! I ABSOLUTLY dread the dentist, but they took that fear out of me!! Every single staff member was soooo nice and kind, Big THANK YOU to Southgate Great Expressions staff!!!

Do not go to this office/or any other one. Their only goal is to charge you and your insurance company as much money as possible. The need of the patient is not their top priority. The receptionist even told me that they wanted to get me back in before the 1st of the year so they could max out my yearly dental benefits before it reset. They charge for routine things that other dental offices provide as part of their service (fluoride for example). And be aware that they will not charge you everything in office. Once they feel like youve reached your limit on what youll pay in office, they will just send you a bill later. BEWARE!!!

DONT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE... My son wanted me in the room with him and they said after the xrays they would call me back. They never called me back and my son was crying when they did. My son cried all the way to the car and told me the lady said, "Does your mom go to school with you"? On top of all this they burnt his lip with that spin brush they use to clean your teeth. He said he tried to tell them it hurt by moaning but they wouldnt stop. He was crying while they didnt seem to care. I will not be back. And I hope that my review helps others make the same choice. NOW MY SON IS AFRAID OF DENTIST... THANKS TO THIS PLACE..

My oral surgery went well. I got some tricky impacted wisdom teeth pulled out, I dont remember much, but Im glad I got it done there. I was pretty nervous but the staff were pretty cool and funny, which made me feel calmer. I was a complicated case, but the Dr. took the time to walk me through the procedure during my first appointment, answered all of my questions over the phone afterwards, and took time to go over everything again during the day of surgery so I knew exactly what was going on and what any of the risks were. Im on day 3 of recovery and doing well! Other than looking like a humanoid chipmunk.

We absolutely love Dr. Paul and all of the staff here!!!!!! All the gals are super sweet and incredibly kind. They take their time, are never rude, and incredibly compassionate. We have NEVER had a bad experience here (and I dont ever expect to). My entire family comes to this location, and they know us by faces. I just love that. It shows they actually care, were not just another number. If you want a great Dentist and fantastic care for your family, youve found it!!!!! Thanks so much Dr. Paul and all of his darling gals, were here for life!!!! ❤️

I had to get a tooth extracted. I explained to the dental assistants and to Dr. Betz how nervous I was, and they went into detail about the procedure and what to expect. I felt very comfortable after speaking with them. Brittney talked with me and thoroughly explained further precautions on how to take care of everything after I left the office. I was a patient 15 years ago, however, when I moved, I also had to switch dentist offices. When I just returned this week for my procedure, I was impressed with the remodel of this location!

Office staff is friendly. Other than that be prepared for your visit to consist of multiple sales pitches and attempting to nickel and dime you with any procedure they can think to throw your way. Ive been to multiple dentists and this was the first time i ever had to pay 250$ for just x-rays and a 2 second exam. No cleaning or any actual preventative care was in that 250$ bill. Go to a privately owned dentist where you are seen as a client not a bag of walking cash.

I tried calling once a day for the past 4 days, DURING BUSINESS HOURS..... Left a message EVERY TIME and no one has answered nor called me back.. All i was trying to do is make an appointment as a new customer..... My tooth has been killing me and i will be calling my insurance today and requesting a different dentist. Just lost a customer and will not refer anyone. I suggest hire a secretary, or if you have one, get her to answer the phone. Good Day

I love Dr. Paul and the Great Expressions staff. The dentist has always been a fear of mine but ever since I started coming here Ive been so much less averse to the experience. Dr. Paul is patient and professional, but eases up to make sure you enjoy your time and the work youre getting done. The staff is friendly as well, I always love chatting with them about random things. Overall, I highly recommend this office for all your teeth hygiene needs.

Went here for cleaning and to get my teeth checked out after many years of not going to the dentist. The staff was super friendly. Dr Paul was my dentist and he was very easy to talk to about what I wanted to get fixed. Gave me a treatment plan (want to get braces but I need to replace some lost teeth first) and got my scheduled cleaning. Got a light hand too, which was a big plus.

Hands down the best dentist and hygienist in the downriver area! Dr. Paul and his dental hygienist are very gentle and professional. They truly care anout their patients. The entire staff is very friendly and will make you more comfortable during your visit. The office is extremely clean and organized. I will definitely recommend Great expressions dental to my friends and family!
