This was, by far, one of the WORST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE. I have anxiety when it comes to dentists, especially this time because I knew had to get a few teeth pulled. I researched many different sedation offices and found Dr. Brook’s office “Smiles for Life” to be one that I thought would fit me best. They claimed they treated many patients with severe anxiety and that this was the place for me, no doubt about it. After letting a few months go by, and thinking about it very carefully, I decided to trust them after what they had personally told me about handling fearful patients, and scheduled an appointment. The girls at the front are very rude and unpleasant. I felt like I had to lie and tell them they were so wonderful over and over again just so that they wouldn’t treat me poorly. When I met Dr. Brooks, I could tell he was the same way, and I felt I would be scammed immediately. He claimed he would find a great treatment plan for me after reviewing my x-rays, and assured me that he knew I did not have dental insurance, and that they were sensitive to that. I got a bill in the mail for 2 extractions, a few fillings, and 2 root canals/crowns for $11,000!!!!! I almost fainted. I immediately emailed the office to tell them that I thought that was way too much and I needed to find out why. She was so incredibly rude and short and stated that they didn’t barter with other dentists on prices, and it was just too bad for me that it was too much. I was shocked. I should have just gone to another dentist right then and there, but the part that made me want to stick with it was one of the dental hygienists, her name was Sarah, and she was so genuine and wonderful. After about a week of desperately trying to get my cost down, they finally agreed to lower the cost by eliminating procedures that did not need to be done in the first place. I had to go into the office, again, to sign for the financing. Emily, who is so rude and condescending, had me sign all the papers and everything was set for the next week. This whole process took forever and I would’ve had to come in a total of 3 times!! Not even 48 hours before my appointment, I got an email, not a phone call, and email telling me the appointment had been cancelled and I needed to find another place. It came out of absolutely nowhere!!!!!! The audacity of these people to not even put in a phone call, but to just email!! I will not rest until I have told everyone in the world about these people and this office. I would NEVER want anyone to go through this nightmare of a situation. Trust me people, if you have anxiety or a fear of a dentist’s office, DO NOT GO HERE. They will tell you they can handle it, but they can’t!!! I am obviously proof of this! Could you imagine trying to prepare yourself for surgery, only to get an email a few hours before telling you to find another office? I was in severe pain and they did not care one bit. How upset would you be if they did that? Not only do they try to charge you the highest price possible thinking you will just have to pay it or else, but they are NOT genuine people who care! I am so happy I went somewhere else. I got EXCEPTIONAL service, a great price that was a THOUSAND DOLLARS CHEAPER without feeling like they were trying to scam me, and they actually cared about my severe fear of the office! I will be sure to get the word out about Smiles for Life: this is a terrible practice and should be shut down! No one should ever be treated that way! I would never wish this experience on my worst enemy…. Please, if you need a good dentist, go somewhere else, fast!!!!! I have come to the conclusion that ANYWHERE else would be better than here!!!!!!!!!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Smiles For Life Dentistry! In the past, Ive dreaded going to the dentist because I always equated it with pain. My first trip to Smiles For Life in Farmington was amazing. They actually took the time to explain what they were doing and walked me through my dental insurance plan too. I have never had such a thorough and pain-free appointment ever. I was so excited about my experience that I switched my kids over to them too. Both my 8 year old and 10 year old raved about Dr. Tim, Kathy and the rest of the wonderful staff for about an hour afterwards. Now going to the dentist is a positive experience for all of us. I would highly recommend Smiles For Life because they are kind, caring and they have a top-notch facility!

I have been going to this office for dental care for nearly 10 years and have always had a great experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Dr. Brooks is very thorough, takes his time, and answers all my questions. Gwen is very responsive in returning phone calls, scheduling appointments, and answering insurance questions. Shes squeezed me in for emergency appointments on numerous occasions. Tonya and Elizabeth are both super friendly, chatty, and gentle! They are knowledgeable, explain things so they are easy to understand, and always make me feel comfortable! I love the staff - its like visiting old friends. I would highly recommend Smiles For Life for dental care.

The Smiles for Life staff are amazing! They create a lighthearted, family like atmosphere which makes you comfortable right from the start. I went to them initially after a several year hiatus from dentists due to anxiety. I was looking for somewhere non-judgemental and this is it. I always get a welcoming smile from Gwen who is usually manning the front desk, Elizabeth brings me back and keeps me rolling the entire time and seems to just know how to get you to relax and calm down, and Dr. Brooks does his exam and dental work without making you feel like youve done something wrong, all he wants is for you to have your best smile.

I just wanted to say a huge Thank You to Tim, Elizabeth, and the team. For the first time in 10 yrs I actually ate corn off of the cob. May seem silly to most but for those years I was always worried after getting a root on a front tooth if I would somehow break it or damage it. Now, after getting my amazing crowns, not only did I get an amazing smile that I am so proud of, but I enjoyed eating one of my favorite foods without any worries. Thanks again!

The staff is so friendly, and Dr. Brooks is very thorough and competent. Going to the dentist is actually a pleasant experience! Complete dental satisfaction aside, I love the staff at Smiles for Life in Bloomington. I am treated like a friend when I come in; the staff is so friendly, remembers me and things about me that I have shared, and it always feels like a special visit with a friend rather than a visit to the dentist.

I have been going to this office for years and have been pleased with all of my dental care. I am a nervous dental patient so I use gas for all of my appointments, Dr. Brooks and his staff have taken very good care of me and I would recommend this office to all, but especially those that are somewhat fearful of dental treatment. The staff and Dr. always have a smile and are friendly and helpful.
