Wow! I dont know where to start. I will try to make a very long story short. I adopted a 3 month old male Blue Tick Beagle named Buddy almost 8 years ago when I lived in St Paul, MN and we had a pretty good Vet up the street from us. No problems but nothing major ever came up with his health. We moved to St Louis Park almost 4 years ago and I tried to find a Vet close to our home and the nightmare began. It is an absolute shame how Vets care more about making a ton of money than the health of your animal. After going through two other animal hospitals I ended up going to a place called Oak Knoll Animal Hospital in St Louis Park. Well they really know how to screw up an animal. Buddy had his first surgery at Oak Knoll with complications and had to be ran into the emergency animal hospital two days later and just figured it was a normal issue that could occur. Then Buddy was taken back to Oak Knoll for a Anal Gland problem which was part of the problem the first surgery. Here is were the worst part of the nightmare began. They said he had a infected gland and they could fix it by injecting it with antibiotics. Well he went in and had it done and ended up with a serious infection within 5 days. We took him back and they said he is fine and continue with the antibiotics. Well the antibiotics they gave him was making him sick. Well the bottom-line Buddy got so sick. The Vet said we can give you something for his stomach but if you are concern we can perform surgery for thousands more. Well thousands of dollars later without additional surgeries yet and my dog in grave condition I didnt know where to turn. I would do anything for my dog. My neighbor said you need to go to The Pet Stop in Elko they are the best. Which I was still skeptical being I had been to numerous Vets. Well I decided to drive down to Elko to meet with Dr. Whitney which I call Dr. Wendy. WOW! What a breath of fresh air. I finally found a Vet that truely loves animals along with the rest of her AWESOME staff. This is a Vet that cares about the well being of animals. When we arrived Buddy was in pretty bad shape. She ran numerous test and went over Buddy with a fine tooth comb, ultra-sound, blood work and even called a specialist for additional feedback. Two weeks ago Buddy was suffering from a serious infection as well as ruptured anal gland. I really thought we were going lose him which would of been incredibly devastating. I was in tears. Dr. Whitney recommended we get Buddy in for surgery right away to remove the abscessed and anal gland which is a specialized surgery. She called in Dr. Brian Rose which is a specialist. They performed the surgery but were still a bit concerned due to the seriousness of the infection. It was Labor Day weekend and Dr. Wendy called at least twice a day to check on Buddy. Dr. Rose also did the same. They both even said if we need to stop by your house we can so to check on him. Well it has been just over two weeks since surgery. Buddy hasnt felt this good in a couple of years. I sooooooo AMAZED by these WONDERFUL caring people at The Pet Stop. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE YOU! I will never go anywhere else again. It is a 40 minute drive but highly worth it. She even cleaned Buddies teeth for additional hundred dollars. Oak Knoll wanted $850.00 for a teeth cleaning and recommended we have it done every year. The bottom-line is if you are fed up with other Vets go down and give Dr. Whitney a chance. YOU WILL BE AMAZED. Thank you Dr. Wendy and all of your awesome staff. My wife and I are so grateful for everything you have done for us and Buddy is especially grateful and loves all of you!

Quick Review : Awesome Honest Affordable Care! Full Story: I found a new cross breed of English Mastiff and Great Dane [called a Daniff]. We located an available puppy in Ohio. I drove from Minnesota all the way there and got the puppy. We noticed some small bumps on her head. When I arrived back into town I called and found we could get her in at the Pet Stop. We had her all checked out and they recommended bringing her back the next day to biopsy the bumps. The next day came and our little Daniff was very tired. Super tired and they did not like the looks of her. Over the day we ran a few carefully selected tests, but she would not eat making a stool sample an issue. Finally at the end of the day she went potty. Through the sample we discovered she had the Parvo Virus. This was not good news. It meant HUGE costs and without treatment (1st Class treatment) she would likely die. [91% probability of death actually.] They recommended a few places and most were so expensive. Even the reasonable places were starting at $1,000 plus meds and that was for one day with overnight care. Dr. Whitney then offered to help us out. The entire clinic came together (including their amazing children) and provided 4 nights of ICU 24 hour care. Wed-Sunday afternoon they looked after our new baby puppy and brought her back from the brink. We were called about every test. Given opportunities to try and keep the bill low and most importantly on Sunday received a healthy dog on the road to full recovery. Dr Whitney, Techs Brit and Christa and their tremendous kids Lilly and Brianna all pulled together to save our puppy. We investigated the costs at several places and Owner/Dr. Whitney helped in every way she could. Her care/team are a difference maker and in our opinion are the soul reason we have our new family pet. You go get your pricey vet in their $300,000 facility and Ill take the girls at The Pet Stop. A+ team!

We are so glad we found the Pet Stop Clinic. The staff is personable, they take the time to get to know you and your pets and it feels like youve known them forever! The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and just so nice to work with! Dr. Whitney is very personable, knowledgeable, and always gives us options on our dogs treatments, along with giving us pricing beforehand so we are not surprised when we see our bill. Their prices are very reasonable, the best that weve seen, (and weve been to numerous vets before this). Weve never felt like other clinics actually cared about our animals, it always felt like they were just a business. The staff at Pet Stop really care about your pet and really take the time to explain everything, instead of just rushing you out the door. I cant say enough good things about the Pet Stop Clinic, we are so lucky to have found them, theyre the best!!!

On Memorial day, our cat went into labor, after 3 hours we still didnt have any kitten so we started call around to local vet clinics. The Dr called us back right away to talk about what was going on and what we should do (we had never been to the clinic before). She called us back again to check on progress and said we should bring cat in. She told us all costs right over phone. One of the kitten had some trouble but they were able to save her. We gained 4 little kittens that day and a new vet. The vet techs are always very friendly. I have been to 3 other Vet clinics in the past, the service here has been the best. They are very affordable and caring. My pets (6 indoor cats, 2 feral cat and 2 dogs) all enjoy going there. The Pet clinic looks like a house, so it helps our pets feel like they are going to visit a family friend and not a clinic.
