Dont see a certain female psychiatrist she talks to you like you are dirt under her feet, and when I requested the transfer I was told I was not the only one who has complained about on this doctor. GO TO ANOTHER NYSTROMS THEY ARENT ALL BAD JUST DONT GET THE PSYCHIATRIST WHO DECIDES YOU CANNOT GET MEDICATION FROM ANY OTHER NYSTROMS, I THOUGHT THAT SHOULD BE THE DIRECTERS DECISION. One staff says one thing, then another says another. BUT THE, RECEPTIONISTS THAT I HAVE COME INTO CONTACT WITH ARE VERY NICE AND UNDERSTANDING. COUNSELORS, LIKE AMBER S. IS FANTASTIC & MY AHRMS WORKER IS SUPERB, YOU GOTTA HAVE FAITH:-) IS A PERSON THAT I FEEL TRULY CARES HOW I AM AND KEEPS ME CALM IN THE BUMPS OF MY LIFE LIKE THE STRESS OVER POOR PSYCHIATRY AMONG OTHER THINGS. IT WAS OKAY SOMEWHAT WITH QUUICKERS UNTIL SHE WAS OUT AND I GOT TAKEN ABACK BY A MALE PSYCHIATRIST, WHICH I HAVE HAD BAD EXPERIENCES AM AFRAID OF MEN, PERIOD, SO I TOLD HIM I DONT TALK TO MALE PSYCHATRISTS. AT THE TIME I WAS IN A BAD STATE OF MIND AND WAS REACHING OUT FOR HELP. IF THEY COULDNT UNDERSTAND WHAT I WANTED OR NEEDED THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN THE PROFESSION THEY ARE IN. PLUS I TALKED TO A KELLY SHE TOLD ME NOT TO YELL AT HER I TOLD HER SHE WOULD KNOW IF I WAS YELLING I WAS TALKING TO LIKE I WOULD ONE OF MY CHILDREN THAT WAS IN TROUBLE, EXACTLY HOW QUUIKER TALKED TO ME. THEN TOWARDS THE END OF THE TELEPHONE CONVERSATION SHE TOLD ME THE CALL WAS BEING RECORDED. ILLEGAL YOU HAVE TO ASK OR LET THE PERSON KNOW THE CONVERSATION IS BEING RECORDED OR MAYBE RECORDEDOR MONITORED. OKAY NOW I MISUNDERSTOOD ABOUT BEING RECORDED, NOW ITS SAID THAT IT WAS BEING RECORDED BY WRITING WHAT I SAID DOWN, NOT WHAT I WAS TOLD. NUMBER 1 ON PATIENTS RIGHTS: EVERY PATIENT SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO CONSIDERATE AND RESPECTFUL CARE. THAT IS NOT WHAT I RECEIVED FROM THE DOCTOR. I DO THANK SOMEONE FOR CALLING AND SUGGEST I CONTINUE WITH MY COUNSELOR, NO I LIKE HER AND RESPECT HER BUT I DO NOT WANT TO GO WHERE I MIGHT RUN INTO THE DOCTOR AND ME OPEN MY MOUTH INSTEAD OF LEAVING IT ALONE. I WILL NOT APPEAL AGAIN IM HAPPY TO HAVE ONE LESS PLACE TO GO.

in out patient therapy there for 5 weeks had a couole relapses and was informed today at an office appointment i had to pay for that I could no longer attend the out patient sessions. Funny thing is that your counselor told me that it was because the insurance,said they would not pay. Not true because,we called her case manager and he confirmed they would cover it. It was Amber that gave up and pushed her out the door. Then had the gumption to say dont think I have given up on you. What a joke this place is and always has been. WOULD NOT EVER EVER EVER recommend to anyone. Their primary care is about being paid not the patient or the care they might need. I hope i we get a 35 co pay refund cause today was not an office visit Amber could have told us that over the phone once,again billable hours,are more important then the patient. I will be reviewing your practice with the BBB today as,well. JB

Alison is a great therapist, but that is the only nice thing i can say about this company. I understand that Nystroms is a business, but youd think as a mental health business theyd tell their staff to at least fake some sensitivity. The girls at the front desk are never anything more than completely rude. The psychiatrists assume youre med seeking if youre under the age of 25 apparently. Both my therapist and a random nurse had to tell my psychatrist that I was indeed not med seeking. Dealing with the billing people is a nightmare. They are rude, short, and condescending. I really hope management begins to train their staff better and help them understand that the patients there are sick, and they need to be treated with some sensitivity and respect. Employees should always treat patients/customers that way, but especially in this setting. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Awful place. I started seeing a P.A. there. She saw me for 5-10 minutes once a month and did not take my depression seriously. I kept saying the medicine I was on did not seem to o be doing much. The medicine then gave me an allergic reaction the higher the dose. I called them and told them I am having a allergic reaction and was told a nurse would call me. A nurse never called me. My P.A. never called me. A month later on no medicine, I checked myself into a hospital for severe depression. Secondly, my daughter went there for ADD, first visit we waited for 45 minutes and no one gave me an explanation why. Our time obviously did not matter. Right when we were going to leave we were finally seen. My daughter still goes there because her doctor is good besides this first rude appointment.

I have been receiving care through Nystrom for over 10 years. I am shocked to read the reviews that have been posted here. When I began my relationship with Nystrom & Associates, I was in dire straits and very fragile. The office staff, without exception, have always been professional and easy to work with. My doctor and therapist have been exemplary, and I have recommended them many times with every confidence that whoever is in need will also have a compassionate, engaging, positive experience.

The parking had the new building has improved so far. Lets get a year under their belt before finally judgement and see if the employees start to park closer and closer with rainy or winter weather. At the end of the day all the cars in the lot should be in the farthest spots in the lot meaning those are the employees. This way the paying customers get the closer spots. I drive by every morning and night on 101 besides the visits so time will tell.

They have teens working the front they are snobby look at you like you have a problem... Like your wasting there time and energy The whole atmosphere is very awkward! Go some were else! Were people really do care about your well being and safety! I saw Ryan for medication and he didnt respond to Walgreens refill for 2 weeks! I was coming off heavy medication that set me in a whirl spin and nobody cared Its not them right:)!

Lisa VT is the best ever. I couldnt imagine any other therapist taking care of me. Been seeing her for 4 years and my experience with her is top notch! If you want someone who truly cares and listens I recommend HER! As far as Dr Quaker I ditched her after 3 months. Horrible person. Was referred by Lisa to see Dr Uecker in the new Brighton office. Amazing psychiatrist! Overall experience is 10/10!

Every time I end up being recommended, the staff is very welcoming, but then the sessions are always met with people who seem to think they can ride on their dagree and not try to help the patience. One time i was graced with a therapist that sat playing on his computer with his feet up. I had to say something outrageous before he would even pay attention to me. Get anxiety every time I hear the name.

Dont waste time and money. If you are late even one minute late they refuse to see you and charge you for the full appointment. Staff is unfriendly and the professionals are not personable, seems they could care less about your health needs. Very disappointing. I finally called it quits and going somewhere else.
