I have been going to Dr. Gaskins clinic for about 4 years now and am very pleased with what he has to offer. I have several cats and he has given them all excellent care. The things I really like about this clinic are as follows: 1. Personal service- Unlike many of the larger clinics, you wont be rushed through a 10 or 15 minute appointment. Dr. Gaskin takes his time and you can expect at least a 1/2 hour appointment and longer if he has to work with a complicated case. His tech Alex is very good and I like how he handles the animals. 2. Technology- At this clinic you will get most blood test results immediately. This has been a godsend for me more times than I can say. When one of my cats has been ill, I dont want to have to wait a day or more to find out what the bloodwork says as that is often the indicator of what medications or treatments are needed. He also has digital xray technology which offers a more precise picture than your standard xray. I have a rescued cat that was found after she had been hit by a car and couldnt walk and the xray that was taken was amazing and showed even the smallest details of the damage (her hip was broken in three places!) A year and a half later, following his recommendations and treatment plan, she is running and climbing cat trees and happy as can be. 3. Dentistry- Dr. Gaskin has a special interest in dentistry and I have been very happy with the dental work he has done on my kitties. I also like that he uses an anesthesia protocol that results in me bringing home my cats without having to worry about them being all doped up and stumbling. They have always been alert and I couldnt tell they had been under other than they were missing a tooth due to an extraction or now had sparkling pearly whites! 4. Nutrition- Dr. Gaskin is very focused on nutrition as the cornerstone of an animals good health and takes time to provide a nutritional consult. He does not advocate dry food for cats and recommends high quality, grain free canned diets. He is very helpful with obese cats that need to lose weight and also has a program to help diabetic cats try to get off of insulin. 5. He does NOT declaw cats! Its refreshing to see a vet that takes a stand against this barbaric practice, and he offers owners that have cats with scratching issues free behavior consultations so they can rectify the problem without resorting to mutilating a poor kitty that is just doing what comes naturally. 6. Vaccinations- Dr. Gaskin is up to date on current vaccine protocols and wont force you to vaccinate your pet unnecessarily. I have been very concerned about vaccine related sarcomas and was relieved to find out that he uses Purevax vaccines which are a bit safer than standard vaccines that are available. 7. Pricing- The prices at this clinic are reasonable and Dr. Gaskin is fair in how he charges. He does not charge exhorbitant fees, and compared to the prices Ive seen at other clinics Id say he is about mid-range. Overall, a very good value for what you get and I highly recommend this clinic.

The Main Street Veterinary team has been caring excellently for our three cats for some nine years. We have gotten great advice and referred MANY clients to them. The vet techs are wonderfully gentle with our kitties and knowledgable. Alex has been at the practice for all this time and is way beyond the skills of a Vet tech, and I would wish he could study to become a veterinarian himself. Dr Gaskin means well for pets and has vast amount of knowledge. He will go against the establishment if it is in the interest of animals. After an display of rude and unprofessional behavior today, we can no longer tolerate his more unusual way of interacting with clients. If you care as much about your fur babies as we do, a veterinarian plays a trusted key role. Today sadly this role came to an abrupt end and we find ourselves to move to another provider than incorporates all. My ratings: Five stars - Knowledge /Caring for the animal/Vet techs Five stars - Equipment Two stars - Veterinarian Communication with clients Two stars - Clinic overall environment Follow-up from the “wife” based on owners comments: 1. I had no issue waiting for the meds and was in no hurry. The owner of the “dog emergency” coincidently was also waiting next to me while another dog had his routine nail clipping done and was NOT seen immediately as stated. 2. The decision to switch to another vet was solely due to unprofessional and condescending emails from Dr.Gaskin. Very unbecoming for being a trusting long-term client, having spent well above $11,000 over the years for our cats care. 3. Private email address? This is the only email address Dr.Gaskin has used to correspond with us for many years (it is the same address as the veterinary office website) I stand by the review I provided, even though the last sentence of the most recent email from you can only be meant in a hurtful way. To the readers of this review, we are trying to keep our 19 year old cat alive as long as we can and we would not think that the following statement from Main Street Veterinary Services is appropriate: "I think you would be more worried about how you are going to keep (cat name) alive now…

we brought our dog Abby there as well as our cat Casey. he was very caring with both animals expecialy since they were brought in near the end of their lives. Casey had a stroke and the Dr. was very kind he prescribed medication to make her last few weeks comfortable and helped clean her up since her fur was getting hard to keep clean and was difficult to cut the clumps off. he allowed me to even hold her while he did it because he could tell I was not ready to let her go. he made sure we new of all of our options and made sure we new that after her second stroke that putting her down was going to be the best option for her to make sure she didnt suffer. he let us take her to a duffrent room and say our good byes after she had been sedated and never rushed us at all. he gave us a little piece of her fur in a little tie bag to remember her. he was very accommodating with our schedule in all of our appointments and took very good care of all of the animals we brought to him. we will continue to go to them with all of our animals because of how he is with them and because he does the treatments at a very fair price.

The worst vet weve ever been to. His demeanor is unprofessional (almost abusive), and his practice is ineffectual. Hes rude to his patients and his vet techs. He belittles you for each question you ask so much so that we were afraid to ask him anything about our kitten. He at one point told us we were slowly killing our kitten because we didnt feed him the Wellness brand cat food that he stocked. More to the point, everything we brought our cat in for needed multiple trips because he either stopped treatment too early, or didnt know what was wrong. What use is a vet you cant talk to? What good is one who doesnt know how to treat your pet? There are MUCH better vets in the area. My advice: Save your money, your sanity, and your pets and go someplace else. We wish we would have done so sooner.
