I have seen Dr. Mathur at the Kansas City Medical Group for approximately twenty months. The staff and facilities are very good. Dr. Mathur has a great manner with me both professionally and personally. She always explains in detail her diagnosis and treatment plan to obtain my buy in. She always listens to my concerns and responds to same without hesitation. I wholeheartedly recommend her and her practice to anyone seeking a new internal medicine physician. I now have seen Dr. Mathur for almost three years. She is the best doctor, both personally and professionally, that I have ever dealt with. She is always attentive to my concerns and addresses them at the time I raise them. Her responses are both logical and fact based as well as being delivered in a personable manner. I always feel that she is truly interested in helping me improve the health issues that I am dealing with. Additionally, all of the Medical Group of Kansas City staff (nurses and administrative staff) are professional, personable and responsive. I would recommend Dr. Mathur and the Medical Group of Kansas City without reservation to anyone seeking an internal medicine physician.

I had seen Dr. Dahl, and had to stop seeing him because he was often verbally abusive (accusing me of behaviors without any reason to do so) so I switched to NP Kim Nagel. Although she wasnt a good listener, I did fairly well until recently. She mis-coded an office visit and even though the clinic ADMITS the code HAD to be incorrect they said it was "not possible" to re-code an insurance record. Blue Cross/Blue Shield told me that re-coding was common. Ultimately I spoke with Susan, the practice "manager" who was rude and used rude unprofessional language. I told them I wasnt paying the office visit and I was quitting them. Later, NP Nagel decided to call me up even though I had quit her as a provider (and told her why). She also used rude, unprofessional and inappropriate language. When she thought I hung on her, she used an extremely derogatory term for a gay man. But actually my speaker phone was still on. Shes a terrible provider, you will do to stay away.

I have always had a good visit with Dr. Michael Dahl. He is caring, sympathetic and very knowledgeable about your history before he even comes into the room Many of my previous doctors would wait until they got into the room to read your most test reports, hospital stays and the staff notes from other doctors. This always irritated me because I felt it was a waist of my time...........and maybe a way for the doctor to use up time with my potential questions. I very much respect Dr. Dahls approach. The front desk and nurse make you feel like they are glad that are at the office and let you know they are there to serve you for the time you are there. Dr. Dahl offers everything I am looking for in an Internal Medicine. Doctor. Thanks to you and your staff! Dominick B. - Lees Summit, Mo

I have been here a couple times before and had a decent experience until now! This was one of the most upsetting, inconsiderate and disregarded visits to a Dr that I have ever experienced! I dont live in a bubble and have certainly had unpleasant, rude doctors with no bedside manner before but its worse when you know that a doctor has been recommended and you go to him in hopes of accurate medical treatment along with the empathy and a thorough doctor who would not totally disregard you as a patient and a person. He upset me so much and was not even a little apologetic or empathetic. I am shocked and disappointed in this man as a doctor and just as a person!!! Apparently, I have to rate a star at least just to be able to post but truly I dont even think he deserves a star!

Like another reviewer, I also had a very negative experience with the office and billing codes, and treatment after the fact. To me, the practices they seem to be using, even if legal, border the unethical and seemed to be structured to keep patients in the dark. The bill I received was coded differently than the initial appointment I had scheduled, and was a different code than the reason that I was given for the change. It took me a month to get an answer from their office (being that they wouldnt resubmit), with no one returning my calls or requests for information, and when I did speak to office staff, I was treated with disrespect and rudeness, while I remained composed and do not believe my behavior or tone should have warranted such treatment.

I moved to KC a couple of years ago from another city. I had excellent care from my previous doctors and was concerned I would not be able to locate a doctor as good as the ones I had. Well I was wrong. I have some health issues, and after being hospitalized without a local doctor, I made an appointment with a doctor with the KC Medical Group. I only saw her once and she left the practice. Lucky for me that when I called for another appointment with another doctor I was referred to Dr. Radhika Mathur. She is an excellent physician, caring, listens to your issues, and then takes the time to answer any questions you may have. If you are looking for a doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Mathur.

Totally disgusted by the way I was treated yesterday when I went to see Dr. Elliot Franks at his Menora location. I scheduled an 11:45am appointment only an hour before. I arrived 5 minutes late and was told the doctor would NOT see me because he was going to lunch. I was upset and asked, how is it that every other time I come 15 minutes early and you have me waiting for 30 minutes? She couldnt respond and just said I had to reschedule. I WAS HEATED!!!!! I asked the doctor to come out and he refused.... THIS IS BY FAR thee worst experience at a doctors office yet. I will NOT be back to see him and I highly recommend that no one else visit him either.

I love KC Med group!! Both Brookside and Lees Summit office staff is very friendly and courteous. I came in feeling horrible and left feeling better just from the atmosphere and kindness from the front person who greeted me to the nurses that checked me in and the doctors Ive seen. When I call for a needed appointment I know I can choose whomever is available because they all show the same high level of integrity and care. I definitely recommend this office!! Thanks to all of you at KC Medical Group!!

I love the Kansas City Medical Group. This practice has been my choice for my healthcare provider for many years. No long waits to get in for an appointment when needed. The group of doctors and nurses which includes Dr. Michael Dahl and NP Kim Nagel are great. They listen to you very carefully and are very knowledgeable in giving correct diagnosis and treatment. I have received excellent care over the years and recommend this group to anyone that is seeking decent and caring healthcare professionals.

Supposed "doctor" douglas mckee is an absolute insult to anyone in the medical profession. Instead of listening to patients all he does is shove prescriptions down your throat and if you tell him they arent working or just ask him to listen he gets upset and yells at you. He is responsible for the death of my buddys mother but of course he doesnt care. Whether you are a doctor, teacher, police officer or in any other profession; how you treat people does matter and you will reap what you sow.
