My wife was told to sit down and they will call her when its her turn. They did not take her name or a list of her symptoms. She sat on the waiting room for an hour with out even being checked in. Only after I called the director of the ER while I was still at work and informed her of the treatment of my wife did she get checked in. As of now my wife has been here for over 5 hours and her vitals have been checked once, and nurses keep telling her that they will be right back with medications then they disappear for an hour or so and my wife has to eventually find another nurse to ask about her care and then they do the same. Then as I write this they will not allow me to see my wife despite my wife asking to see me. Gave no explaination other than the place she is in cant have vistors and was to have a seat until she was discharged. When I asked for someone above them to register a complaint I was given the run around of oh I dont know who you can talk to. So zero effort on the part of the medical "professionals" that are supposed to care for those in emergent need. This place is a joke. After several hours after CT scans were done they lost her images and said they will need to do them again and she will have to wait for those images to come back so they can ve read. I wouldnt trust them with a gold fish much less a human life. The same food and debris that was in the ER waiting room when mu wife came in is still on the floor over 5 hours later when i got here and is still here. If you need care of any kind please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The one and only positive thing that can be said of this mediocre excuse for a place of healing and medicine is that the security guard David (no last name on his badge) was very courteous and kind and genuinely wanted to help. He alerted the charge nurse that I would like to speak with her about my wifes care and treatment here. I have yet to see this person and ive waited an hour for them to come speak with me but at least David the security guard made an effort at all. So thank you David for being an actual human being. As for the rest of the staff, you all need to be fired and their licences revoked. It is disgraceful plain and simple.

I give Research no stars!!!! I tell you one darn thing!!!! Let anything happen to my dad because these incompetent medical facilities known as hospitals that hire these stupid degree having personal! Which makes me wonder if they obtained their licensure from a Cracker Jack box of popcorn!!!!! Research Medical Center has one of the worst reputations in the city and YES they hold the torch proudly! Research Medical Center already killed my grandpa back in 2008! Stupid stupid stupid idiotic medical staff that doesnt give a hoot about the clientele thats paying their wages! We took my dad out of KU also known as The University of Kansas Medical Center because to them my dad was just another medical record number! Healthcare has went down the tubes of SHAME! it just sickens me how patients are viewed as an hindrance! An number that the hospitals just file away and collect from that patients insurance! And Lord Jesus please dont let the patient have no insurance....well youre just DOA! A sitting corpse in the waiting room! No compassion! No empathy! No concern! No core morals! Dollar signs is all these worthless bastards see! They dont see all the families and friends that hurt behind their neglect! Im sick sick sick of these morons!!! Then the stupid broke back mountain ass nurse gone take her dizzy ass to the lobby and just leave my dad; talking about hes ready for discharge! Now hes headed BACK to the hospital as we speak!!!! Ill be calling local media today as well!!! This is just ridiculous!

I had planned on giving birth at a local birthing center but was required to goto RMC due to an unexpected health issue. It wound up being a fantastic experience. They are super respectful of laboring moms and did just about everything they could to adhere to my birthing plan (even though it was written for the birthing center). The nurses were amazing. My dayshift nurse during labor, Christina, and Kristen, my nightshift nurse after delivery, were absolutely wonderful. Erin & Rainee were great too, and the lactation consultant, Leah, was super helpful! I ended up needing a vacuum to help deliver my baby and they called in Dr. Sullivan last minute. He was the sweetest. He even had the courtesy the next day to let me sleep rather than wake me for his follow-up visit. This really probably is one of the best hospitals in the KC area to deliver your baby if youre wanting to go a little more natural or at least want to have a little more control over your birthing experience. They totally encourage BF and rooming in also. My only negative is that the food is God-awful and there were a few times we would call in our orders and the restaurant staff was super unprofessional and rude. But its a hospital, not a Michelin-starred restaurant. Other than that, I would recommend this hospital to another mom in a heartbeat!
