Went in for my annual cleaning. This was the first time that I had gone to Summit Dental. It was recommended to me from a co worker. When I arrived at the dental office, I was impressed by the cleanliness and organization. I had to take my two daughters with me, who also had a dental appointment. The waiting room had some toys to keep the kids entertained during the short wait for our appointment. The Staff was excellent. The dental assistant was professional and quickly took me and my girls back for x-rays and to begin our appointment. I was nervous that my twin girls (who are only 5 years old) would not do well alone, but they went with the dental assistants without a problem and the staff took great care of them. I could hear them talking with the other dental assistants and I could tell that the staff works very well with children. The X-ray procedure was fast and there was literally 30 seconds from the time we completed x-rays until the hygienist arrived to conduct the dreaded cleaning. The hygienist Erica was very pleasant and surprisingly gentle with very little pain. I was impressed. The doctor came and conducted a very thorough examination of my teeth (no cavities) and gave me helpful information on what to do with a tooth that has been capped for 20 years and has become discolored. I scheduled a follow on appointment to get a crown. I was very impressed by this dental office. It was the first dental office that seemed to genuinely care about its patients and their oral health. Even my girls enjoyed there visit and asked me on the way home when they can go to the dentist again. I am used to waiting for long periods of time and then having the staff rush to get me out. This was the best experience I have had with any dental office I have visited. I highly recommend Summit Dental to anyone who needs any dental work done. When I walked in through the office door at Summit Dental, I was a bit uneasy, as frankly I had had a bad experience with my previous dentist. Not just one bad experience but four in a row, the first three I thought it was me, by the fourth I moved on. Right from the first contact, from the receptionist, the hygienist, the dental techs and assistants, to Dr. Will Samson himself, the management was top flight. They were personal, professional and with an earnest care, their attention was on the task at hand. That task appeared to me to be an exacting yet dynamically creative application of cutting edge dentistry, with the smoothest, kindest, almost incidental handling of making the uncomfortable comfortable. I deeply appreciated Dr. Samsons calming authority over his art, surroundings and presenting circumstances. Dr. Samson is a great guy with a high performance team that makes it all look and feel easy going, yet under it all you know the discipline that it takes to give that experience to even the slightly skittish like myself.

I took off work early and showed up for my appointment and was given a stack of literally 8 or 9 pages to fill out which took about 20 minutes. As I went to turn it in she asked for my insurance card and quickly told me that Id have to pay the full price because my insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) isnt accepted there. Im pissed because I took off work and I leave for a business trip tomorrow and will have to endure my tooth pain for at least another 7 days. This is an idiotic mistake on their part and extremely unprofessional in my opinion. If you arent going to carry an insurance company as basic as BCBS then perhaps that should be one of the first things you ask for rather than ruining my day/week because of your incompetence. Ill obviously never be going there again and will make sure no one I know does.

Ive been coming to Summit Dental since Ive moved to Bozeman. I found them the hard way, having a tremendous tooth ache on a Saturday with no known contacts and Dr. Samson called me back. The others I tried didnt until much later or not at all. Since then, first rate care of the highest quality. He and his staff take the time to explain things. Go over solutions for issues and, in general, actually care about their patients. In the 84 reviews Ive read, only 3 were 1 star reviews. Once it appears by the comments to be a mis-mark and the other two were upset over insurance issues. After that, almost all 5 stars with a couple 4s mixed in but even those had excellent comments. I dont see how you could get any better.

Dr. Samson and team really went far and beyond to make my visit in their office enjoyable. I travel all over Montana for work and I found their office on Yelp for a routine cleaning and they were able to work with me on my busy schedule. Once they got me in the chair I was astonished by the time the hygienist spent with me to get to know me and my teeth. Even when Dr. Samson came in and spent time with me to dicuss options to replace old cracked fillings he made the effort to get to know me on a personal level. This was by far the most enjoyable visit I have ever had at a dentist office. I am extremely happy with the service I received and will definitely be back again! Thank you Dr. Samson and staff!

I have been going to Dr. Samson for the last 5 years have had exceptional service through those years. What has made it so exceptional is the following: they have worked with my insurance to make sure I receive full benefits, at the end of the year when I wanted to make sure I used the rest of my flex account they made sure I got in, while I was waiting at the front desk the doctor even came out to make sure I was waiting too long, the cleaning has been gentle and thorough, the doctors knowledge and skill our impeccable, you can tell the doctor and his staff truly care for you and they have consistently great customer service. I would highly recommend them to anyone!!!

I went to Dr. Samsons office for a dental cleaning. Erica was my hygienist. She took a set of x-rays (I had not had them for over a year) and used their modern full mouth, circular machine to get a complete picture. Then she spent a full hour doing a thorough cleaning and measuring the gum health before having Dr. Samson come in to look at the x-rays and add his two cents worth, giving me a pat on the back for good dental care. As a new patient, the whole procedure only cost $149 (I dont have dental insurance). There was no pain, no discomfort at all. I will return regularly to maintain good dental health. I highly recommend the doc and his able hygienist, Erica.

Im from outside Bozeman, and had a filling fall out while here. Needed to find someone fast and am so glad I was referred to Summit Dental. Spoke with Holly at the front desk who was able to get me in the exact same day. There were no extra emergency fees. Dr. Samson was kind, pragmatic, and quickly solved the problem with a temporary IRM filling. I was on my way in about an hour, problem solved, and with x-rays provided via email to give to my dentist back home. Definitely will refer others, and plan to return whenever in Bozeman and needing Dental Care. Reasonable rates and I was self pay. Very professional, well run practice.
